For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23.
Do you not know that when you present yourselves to someone as slaves for obedience, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin resulting in death, or of obedience resulting in righteousness? Romans 6:16.
Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. James 1:15.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Romans 8:2.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
The wages of sin is death. Romans 8:23. This is the law of sin and death. Romans 8:2. It is a spiritual law that is no respecter of persons. It is like the physical laws. The law of gravity is the same for everyone. It keeps you all grounded on earth and keeps things from floating off into the air when you put them down somewhere. And most people understand that if you violate the law of gravity, it will be to your detriment. And it is not because I do not love you or because the law of gravity is your enemy. It is not. It works the same for everyone.
Laws are neutral and they work the same for everyone, whether physical or spiritual. You have to know how the laws operate and then work out your life accordingly to get the result you desire.
In the spiritual realm there are laws that I teach you in My Word. One such law is that the wages of sin is death, that is, the law of sin and death. Sin is lawlessness. Any violation of My Word sets it in motion in your life.
This is very serious. You need to listen with all your attention.
You may not think a lie, gossiping, judging others, taking offense, having hatred or anger towards another, misusing or taking another’s property (no matter how small), looking at pornography, over indulging your appetite (overeating, gluttony), drinking excessive alcohol, taking drugs, or swearing under your breath so no one around you hears, harm you or other people, but you are wrong. You have sinned and that violation of My Word sets the law in motion in your body, your finances, your family and your world. The wages of death have begun working to destroy your life. Adam and Eve found this to be true. It took a bit of time to work out but the wages of their sin was death, first spiritually and then physically.
Sin gives the curse jurisdiction in your life—sickness, poverty and ultimately death.
Look about you and you can see this law at work. Those who walk in hatred, envy, and bitterness will develop twisted bodies and darkened minds. The result of overeating, drugs, and alcohol will turn a once vibrant body into a mass of carnage that can hardly be moved about and can do nothing good. Instead it becomes nothing but a useless burden to the one trapped in it and the ones who must care for that person. It is all flesh. And the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind set on the flesh is hostile towards Me, for it does not subject itself to My law, which is the law of love (which I call the perfect law of liberty, James 1:25), for the flesh is not even able to do so (the mindset I call “flesh” is the mindset of the world system, and it is submitted to the devil, it is selfish, cunning, and seeks to gratify its own lusts and desires above the interests of others, it works only by the physical senses and does not operate in faith). Those who are in the flesh cannot please Me. Sin causes destruction and pain, and I cannot even look on these things. I am love and nothing else finds entrance into Me.
Please understand that if you allow yourself to harbor resentment, bitterness, unforgiveness, offense and give your mouth and thoughts free reign in these areas, the wages of this behavior is death. It cannot be avoided. You will kill your dreams, your health, and your future. Your life will be selfish and unfruitful and will result in what My Son said about Judas, who betrayed Him: “it would have been better for this man if he had never been born.”
If you indulge your “flesh” in sin, you will lose your reward. And I want you to have your full reward. 2 John 1:8. And just because you do not do not actually do the sin, if you think on it and focus on it, such as committing acts of adultery, fornication, or revenge, your body will react in the same way as if you had done it physically and will cause destruction. The law will go to work.
And I tell you not to let your heart be troubled or afraid. I tell you not to fear but only believe My promises. I tell you not to fear or be discouraged because I am with you wherever you go to heal, forgive, bless, protect, provide and deliver. If you are giving free reign to anxious, depressed, fearful, and stress-filled thoughts and words, you are violating My Word and this is sin. You may not call worry, fear and anxiety sin, but if you are tolerating it and dwelling on it, it is. It is disobedience to My Word and it will not birth anything good in your life.
I have told you the solution, seek My Kingdom and My righteousness, which I have given you in Christ Jesus, and I will add to you all you need. But even better, you will come to the place where you have no wants—all is supplied in abundance far beyond all you thought possible. But this requires diligence on your part to give first place to My Word by reprograming your thinking in accordance with My Word. You do this by hearing and hearing My Word from the Bible, listening to anointed preaching and teaching of My Word, speaking My Word so that you take every contrary thought and doubt captive until you have renewed your mind in My Word which enlarges your heart (your capacity to receive, to love, and to have joy).
That is why I shared with My people Israel through Moses this advice, and if you are wise and want a good, long, and beautiful life you will take it to heart, “See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity; in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments, that you may live and multiply, and that the LORD your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to possess it. But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, I declare to you today that you shall surely perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess it. I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.” Deuteronomy 30:15-20.
The wages of sin is death, and you may have gotten yourself to the point of self-destruction, but it is not too late. I have good news for you. It is true that the wages of sin is death, but you can reverse that curse and change the law working in your life! There is NOW no condemnation of you who are in Christ Jesus, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you FREE from the law of sin and death. Romans 8:1-2. Jesus became a curse for you, He took your sins and the wages they earned, and redeemed you in order that in Him the BLESSING of Abraham might come on you so you would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. I have given you the free gift of eternal life in Christ Jesus your Lord, not based on your works, but on His.
My Words are spirit and life. They are Words of eternal life. Put them in your mouth, in your ears, in your heart! Keep them before your eyes, write them on sticky notes and put them in places where you do things by rote, like getting yourself dressed and ready in the morning. Redeem the time you have wasted in earning the wages of sin and begin walking in THE BLESSING. It is never too late to be restored better than you were before. I am your Shepherd, there is nothing you shall want, I make you lie in green pastures, I lead you beside waters of peace, and I restore your soul (mind, will and emotions). But I only can work this in you by My Word. The devil will try to steal it out of your heart and lead you on wrong paths of thinking, speaking, imagining, and doing but you do not have to give in to his tactics. I have given you My armor, My Word, My Son, My grace, My Spirit, and My Kingdom. Do you really think you lack anything? You just have to take it. Death and life are in the power of YOUR tongue, just use the right Script and you will arrive at your desired end.
Remain in, continue in, abide in My Word and don’t let in evil, wicked, lustful, dark thoughts, just turn on the LIGHT by speaking My Word and darkness flees. Make the effort and you and your descendants will live.
Be a good friend to yourself. Watch your thoughts. Watch your words. Be careful how you live. The minute you detect a bitter root coming up, take it captive and pull it out. If you don’t, if you tolerate it and think on it, it will cause trouble and by it many will be defiled. Hebrews 12:15. The wages of sin is death, but there is a much better way—My Word, He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Eternal life is in Him. And so are you who believe.
I love you. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Now that He has died to set you free, do not return to slavery a second time. You would be wise to watch your thoughts.
