Nathanael answered Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” And He said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” John 1:49-51.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Jesus is Son of God and Son of Man. He unites Heaven and earth in one seamless life. He is fully God and yet He is fully man. He is NOT two separate persons with a dividing line within Himself, He unites the two as ONE. And that is why the robe of the High Priest was seamless, Exodus 39:22, and that is why the robe of Jesus was seamless, John 19:23, it is revealing heavenly realities of your High Priest who represents you before Me and Me before you. In Him, I fit divinity in all its fullness into humanity and humanity in all its fullness into divinity and reconcile the two in One seamless life.
And that is today’s Life Lesson on the unfathomable riches I have put in Christ (the Messiah): “Son of God and Son of Man.” In Him, God and man are reconciled as one, there is no longer any division between us when you are in Christ Jesus your Lord.
From eternity to eternity I AM God and so is My Son and so is My Spirit, who both proceed from within Me are one God with Me, making the full expression of who I AM. We are One but we are three in how we work together. In our image and according to our likeness I formed man as one and pulled out the woman from him. But when man turned away from Me by sin and put himself under the devil as his master he became dead to Me and alive to sin. And sin divided us for sin is abhorrent to Me and has no place in Me. And the wages of sin is death, eternal death for the eternal life that Adam murdered in himself and for all his descendants. The only way to rescue you out of the realm of darkness and transfer you back to My Kingdom was if one like you but sinless, not under the realm of the devil, would offer His eternal life in the flesh for the eternal life you lost in the flesh—only a life for a life satisfies an intentional murder. And the life is in the Blood, but it must be pure eternal blood. There was no man that could do this for no one born from Adam’s corruptible seed had an eternal life to give, so I sent My Son in the flesh of the incorruptible seed of My Word as Adam originally was created, and took care of your sins and all punishment due them in His death. As Son of Man He could take on your sins and accept the punishment for them. As Son of God, He was born pure with no sin in Him. And He stayed sinless as the unblemished Lamb until I laid all sins upon Him and slaughtered Him as your burnt offering, peace offering, sin offering, and guilt offering upon the altar of the cross.
But this brought something new about. A virgin birth, a sinless life well lived reaching out to all who were in need of forgiveness, healing, and provision, and then a shameful death as all sin was laid upon Him and your guilt He bore, the descent into the lowest pit of hell, and then the declaration of total recreation when I raised Him from the dead with all your sins gone as My glorious Son. The Son of Man born anew and Son of God ever eternal and true. And the two are One with all sin gone—peace on earth and good will towards men. I have rescued you out of darkness into My marvelous Light. Out of the slavery to sin and death to the glorious freedom of My children.
Jesus had to be like you, that is, have flesh, to be able to take on your sins, illnesses, pains, guilt, shame and sorrows. He had to have blood to offer and dominion authority to allow Me to act in the earth to save you. So since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to Me, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted. Hebrews 2:14-18. Therefore, since you have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, hold fast your confession. For you do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with your weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as you are, yet without sin. Therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that you may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:14-16.
Jesus was born a descendant of David according to the flesh but was declared the Son of God with power by the resurrection from the dead, according to the Spirit of holiness, Jesus Christ your Lord. Romans 1:3-4. He is the root and offspring of David. Revelation 22:16. He is the creator and descendant, which shows you He is God and Man. David called Him “Lord (Adonai).” Psalm 110:1.
And by His dominion authority on earth as the triumphant Son of Man who redeemed you from your sins by His blood and brought the devil down from the throne of the son of man which Adam had abdicated to him, I gave Him all authority in Heaven and earth. How did I do that? As Son of God seated with Me at My right hand He had authority in Heaven from eternity to eternity and on earth as Son of Man, having overcome the devil, He took back complete dominion authority.
Before He came in the flesh, the Highest Heaven was Mine and the earth I had given to the children of men, Psalm 115:16, but now as God and Man, He unites the two in one seamless life. Heaven and earth meet and kiss in Him. Psalm 85:10-11. You see the unification of earth and Heaven in Him symbolized by the angels ascending and descending upon Him, the pathway to Heaven opened to the earth upon the death and resurrection of Jesus. I showed you this when Nathanael first came to Jesus and I gave Jesus a Word of Knowledge about him so that Nathanael was amazed and exclaimed, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.” So here you see the referral to Him as “Son of God.” And Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You will see greater things than these.” And He said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” John 1:49-51. Jesus refers to Himself as “Son of Man” showing that He has opened Heaven to the earth by being both My Son and the Son of Man. This is a fulfillment of Jacob’s vision that night at Bethel when I showed him the ladder from Heaven to earth with the angels going up and down it. Genesis 28:12.
When Jesus had made purification of sins, He sat down at My right hand in majesty on high, having taken the throne back of the Son of Man, for He had become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they. Hebrews 1:3-4. The devil, who is an angelic being, was completely knocked off Adam’s seat and cast to the earth for salvation had come. And you who believe in the Name of Jesus, when I raised Him, I raised you up with Him and seated all of you back in the seat that Adam lost by abdication to sin. And there is more, you are seated with Christ as overcomers on His throne at My right hand, and He is also seated with Me on My throne in the glory He had with Me before the world began as well. Revelation 3:21. This was verified by Me to My prophet Daniel before Jesus came in the flesh in the time designated upon the earth. He saw the return of Jesus after He descended to take flesh, accomplished His mission of salvation, and then ascended back to Me. And this is what He saw in the vision I showed him: “I kept looking until thrones were set up, and the Ancient of Days took His seat; His vesture was like white snow and the hair of His head like pure wool. His throne was ablaze with flames, its wheels were a burning fire. A river of fire was flowing and coming out from before Him. Thousands upon thousands were attending Him, and myriads upon myriads were standing before Him. The court sat, and the books were opened.” Daniel 7:9-10. And the vision continued, “I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven one like a Son of Man was coming, and He came up to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him. And to Him was given dominion, glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and men of every language might serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion which will not pass away; and His kingdom is one which will not be destroyed.” Daniel 7:13-14. Thrones were set up for My Son had descended from Heaven as Son of God but He returned victorious as Son of God and Son of Man.
When Job, in his trials, prayed for one who would understand his humanity and understand My divinity so that there would be a mediator between us who could lay His hand on us both and bring us together in agreement, so Job could speak to Me without fear. Job 9:32-35. But he was not able to do that in himself. He could not bridge the gap that sin had made between us. But I answered that prayer, for that longing was in every heart and still is, and I answered by sending My Word to become flesh and dwell among you. And now you have the mediator that Job longed for, Jesus Christ the righteous One who knew no sin but became sin on your behalf so that in Him you become righteous with My own righteousness. But even now, if you should sin, there is a mediator.
For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. 1 Timothy 2:6. He is the most qualified Mediator for He not only makes peace between us but He also paid the price you owed to have it.
For I was in Christ reconciling the world to Myself not counting your sins against you. In Jesus, by His cross upon which He bore your sins in His body unto the sentence of the dust of death, I reconciled both Jews and Gentiles in one body to Myself, having put to death the enmity between mankind and Me, and between man and man. Jesus came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through Him you all have your access in one Spirit to Me. Now you are of My household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in Jesus in whom you also are being built together into My dwelling place in the Spirit. And this is My desire, that we all be One, even as Jesus and I are One. Ephesians 2:13-22.
In Jesus you have everything, the best of Heaven and the best of earth are now yours in Him. And He is sharing His authority with you. Go therefore and tell the good news, cast out demons, heal the sick, and seek out and save the lost. I have reconciled you to Myself through Christ and I have given you the ministry of reconciliation! I have committed the Word of reconciliation to you. Therefore, you are ambassadors for Christ, as though I were making an appeal through you to all those who do not know My Son to be reconciled through Him to Me, for I made Him who knew no sin to be sin on your behalf, so that you might become righteousness with My righteousness in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:19-21.
Jesus understands you perfectly and He understands Me perfectly. And in seeing Him, you can understand Me as well for He is Son of God and Son of Man.
I love you. Keep your eyes on Jesus and I will show you great and mighty things you could not know. He is the bridge, the ladder, the way, and the only connection that will take you out of darkness into My marvelous light, that is, take you home to Me.
