For You light my lamp; the LORD my God illumines my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop; and by my God I can leap over a wall. Psalm 18:28-29.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

I do not become weary or tired. I understand and know all things. I give strength to the weary, and when you turn to Me in your lack of power, trusting in My power, I increase My power in you. For those who rely on their own strength, even youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, but those who wait on Me will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:31.

Renewal of youthful vigor and power comes from drawing your strength from Me.

Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Ephesians 6:10.

O LORD, my strength and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of distress. Jeremiah 16:19.

David came through what seemed impossible battles and trials with those physically and numerically stronger than himself and came out unscathed and victorious against all odds. How? I was his strength and I was his song.

He sang, “I love You, O LORD, my strength.” Psalm 18:1.

And he did not stop there, he sang on, “The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2. And how did he obtain the victory? “With praise I call upon the LORD and I am saved from my enemies.” Psalm 18:3.

Through attacks from within and without by many enemies, David came out victorious and strong. Why? He was not relying on his own strength and battle strategies, he kept Me as his stay, he hung onto My Word and refused to let go until I came down and pulled him out of the pit of deep waters.

He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my stay. He brought me forth also into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me. Psalm 18:17-19.

I pull you out of the pit and deliver you to a good place when you delight in and follow My Word.

For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God. Psalm 18:21.

I have My ways to deliver you from the ungodly when they have filled up their cup with evil and ungodliness. I am your light and your salvation; you need fear nothing whether it be from people or from trials and tests in your own flesh, for they all come from one source, the devil and his unclean demons and Jesus has broken his power. I not only pull you out of their control and deliver you but I enlighten you out of the darkness they have surrounded you with and train you for battle, present and future battles. For while you are in this life, the devil will continue trying to take you out of the game so he can win.

For You light my lamp; the LORD my God illumines my darkness. For by You I can run upon a troop; and by my God I can leap over a wall. Psalm 18:28-29.

David is not speaking weakness; he is proclaiming strength. And that is what he consistently did as he prepared to fight Goliath, when he fought Goliath, and after he fought Goliath. You draw on My strength and you speak strength and not weakness. And the more you declare it the stronger you become and the more your enemies that are trying to intimidate you back off. Like Goliath. That is faith, faith calls in those things that be not as though they are and they become.

Let the weak say, “I am strong.” Joel 3:10.

The Hebrew word translated “strong” is “gibbor,” which means strong, mighty, a hero, a champion warrior, a mighty man. You draw upon My strength by your words, faith filled words. And that is how you draw fear out as well, fear-filled words. Call in what you want not what you are feeling at the moment. Feelings are not faith and will not get you the right result. Never rely upon and speak your feelings, speak My strong Words with faith. And call upon My Name, all who call upon My Name are saved, are made strong.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe (is lifted inaccessibly high). Proverbs 18:10.

I am a shield to those who take refuge in Me.

As for God, His way is blameless; the Word of the LORD is tried; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. Psalm 18:30.

And do not be alarmed if things at first look worse than better. When Goliath loomed up before David in close range, David could have reassessed and lost his confidence but he refused to say anything but strong words of victory even in the face of every threat.

For who is God, but the LORD? And who is a rock, except our God, the God who girds me with strength and makes my way blameless? Psalm 18:32.

In Jesus I strengthen you to do good but He has already made you blameless before Me by His blood. You qualify as blameless so it is time to run on your high places where I have seated you in Christ.

He makes my feet like hinds’ feet, and sets me upon my high places. Psalm 18:33.

You are in My hand and it is My strong hand that brought My people out of slavery in Egypt by great signs and wonders.

O Lord (Adonai) LORD (Yahweh), You have begun to show Your servant Your greatness and Your strong hand; for what god is there in heaven or on earth who can do such works and mighty acts as Yours? Deuteronomy 3:24.

I have put My Words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of My hand. I have made you strong.

For I am the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the LORD of hosts is His name). I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand. Isaiah51:15-16.

And that is My Covenant with you, My Words in your mouth and My Spirit in and on you. And that is the strength, power, and presence combination.

He trains my hands for battle, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. You have also given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your right hand upholds me; and You have stooped to make me great. You enlarge my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped. I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and I did not turn back until they were consumed. Psalm 18:34-37.

I train your hands for battle, your fingers for the war, go forth in My strength, for you are well equipped

You who have been borne by Me from birth and have been carried from the womb; even to your old age I will be the same, and even to your graying years I will bear you! I have done it, and I will carry you; and I will bear you and I will deliver you. Isaiah 46:3-4.

I love you. Rely on Me for everything and speak what you want into being. Never just be saying what you see or feel. Speak strength! I am with you wherever you go.

“This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9.
