The Work of Faith

Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”  John 6:28-29.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

The work of faith.  That is the only work you need to do under the New Covenant.  Faith is a work.  Remember?  When the Israelites asked My Son, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?”  He replied, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” John 6:28-29.

And who is the One that I sent? I make it clear in My Word, that when the fullness of time had come, I sent forth My Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that you might receive the adoption of sons.  Because you are sons, I have sent forth the Spirit of My Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave to the works of the Law to be justified before Me, but a son by faith in Him who I sent, it is by faith in Him that I raised from the dead that you are made righteous, and since you are a son in Christ, you are a joint heir with Him to all I have.  Galatians 4:4-8, Romans 8:14-15. And that is the life of miracles.  That is the life of supply and not demand.

So now it is not by the works of the Law, but by the work of faith that you enter My rest.  And in My rest is the place of miracles and abundance where you reign in life through Christ Jesus.  Romans 5:17.

I am looking for faith.  I cannot do My work in the earth without your faith.  Give Me your faith so that I can work miracles on earth, in your life, and in the lives of others. Stand and pray the prayer of faith and watch Me do the impossible.

Remember My Son only prayed one thing for Peter when Satan came after him to test him and it was this:  that his faith would never fail.  Faith is everything.  And it comes by hearing My Word and receiving it in your heart and speaking it with your mouth and refusing to have fear that it will not come to pass.

Give Me your faith and I will do the work.  Jesus told you that.  He said that believers would do the works He did and greater BECAUSE He was coming to Me and whatever you asked in His Name HE WOULD DO.  Your faith combined with His power makes it happen.  But remember in Nazareth, because of their lack of faith (they took offense at Him), He could work NO mighty miracles.  Why? Unless someone gives Me some faith to work with, I cannot work.  Without faith you work and force Me to rest.  With faith, you rest, and I do the work through you, for you, with you and in you.

My Son worked a mighty miracle for the centurion without even going to his home.  I am the LORD of time and space, you know.  The centurion told My Son just to say the word and his servant would be healed.  I send forth My Word to heal you and deliver you from the pit.  The centurion did not have faith in himself to heal or think that he had to do the work, he just had faith that Jesus had the authority to do what the centurion so desired.  I have given Jesus all authority in Heaven and earth, go therefore to all the nations.  Somehow the centurion sensed that Jesus had the power to heal and he put his faith in that, he rested in that, and he saw the result come to pass.  And My Son called that great faith.  Not faith in your own power or work but faith in His.  Faith that His Word will do the work and not return void but achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Confident assurance.  Without it I cannot work in your life.  Remember that My Son asked the blind men that came to be healed, “Do you believe I can do this for you?” And they did and so My Son could heal them.

The Pharisees had no faith in My Son and though the power was there to heal them in Him, none were healed that day in the crowded house except the ones who gave Me their faith, the friends of the crippled man that lowered down through the roof.  Jesus saw their faith and that was all He needed to go to work.  So it is not dependent only on the faith of the one to be healed but on yours for that person, like the friends of the crippled man and the centurion for his servant and the mother for her daughter that was troubled by a demon.  Or like Mary’s faith for the wine at the marriage feast at Cana.  Will you supply the faith for the miracle for someone you love or know or that I point out to you?  I need your help in this or I cannot work.

When the Son of Man comes in the last days, will He find any faith on the earth?  Will you give Me your faith so that I can do mighty signs and wonders upon the earth?

The righteous man shall live by faith, and if he draws back, I take no pleasure in Him.  Why?  Because I want to work mightily in your life and in the world, but I cannot if you give up and do not persevere in your profession of faith.  You block My Work.

Jesus is the High Priest of your profession of faith.  Hebrews 3:1.  I watch over My Word to perform it and it does not return to Me void.  Jeremiah 1:12; Isaiah 55:10-11.  But you must return it out of your heart and mouth.  Then it becomes the two mouthed sword that can bring down all the works of the evil one.  Therefore, since you have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus My Son, hold fast your confession of faith.  Hebrews 4:14.  Draw near to Me with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having your heart sprinkled clean from an evil conscience by the blood of My Son and your bodies washed with the pure water of My Word. Hold fast to the confession of your hope without wavering, for I, who made you so many great and precious promises, am faithful. Hebrews 10:22-23.

I am asking you to give Me your faith so I can work.  Fear is useless what is needed is trust and the miracle will come to pass.  Have faith in Me and the One whom I sent, Jesus Christ.  Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.  Come with confidence to My throne and receive mercy and grace just when you need it.

Let Me show you again in My Word that faith is your work.   I tell you that the children of Israel that I redeemed out of slavery in Egypt did not enter My rest because of their unbelief. Hebrews 3:19. They had the good news preached to them, but the Word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.  Hebrews 4:2. Without faith and going forward trusting in My Word, there is no miracle.  Therefore, be diligent, make every effort, hasten, to enter My rest that none of you may fail as they did through following their example of disobedience.  Hebrews 4:11.  You will note, I call a lack of faith (trust) in My Word disobedience.

Never give up because it looks impossible or it is taking more time than you thought it should for My Word to come to pass. I desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.  Hebrews 6:11-12.  It takes FAITH AND PATIENCE.  A seed does not become a full blown plant immediately.  I think you understand what I am saying.  Lazarus was four days dead in the tomb when My Son arrived at Bethany, but He told Martha that she would see the glory of God (the manifestation of My goodness, presence and power) if she ONLY believed.  John 11:40. And that looked utterly impossible.  It looked the same for the widow at Nain, but though her son was dead, My Son told him to awake and rise, and he did.  Luke 7:12-16.  Nothing is impossible to Me and all things are possible to those who believe that and act on it.

My prophet Habakkuk asked Me about this and I explained it to him and through him to you:  “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run.  For the vision is yet for the appointed time.  It hastens toward the goal and it will not fail.  Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay.  Behold, as for the proud one, his soul is not right within him, but the righteous will live by his faith.”  Habakkuk 2:2-4.  The proud one tries by his own endeavors to bring about the miracle and has no faith in My Word.  But the righteous- that is, those in Christ Jesus—live by faith.  Faith in what?  My Word.  In Him whom I sent.  My Word made flesh dwelling among you, that He will do it when you ask in His Name. Faith in Him is doing My work.

My Son, who only spoke My Words and did My Works, told you, “where two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven, for where two or three have gathered together in My Name, I am thre in their midst.”   Matthew 18:29-20.  Do you see?  When you gather in His Name, the Name I have exalted above every other Name in Heaven and on earth and the only Name I have given you by which you are saved, He is there in your midst, and anything you agree upon in asking shall be done.  I need prayer gatherings.  Have a prayer partner, a faith friend, whom you can call in time of trouble and pray My Word into the earth.  I think you will understand better now what I tell you through My apostle James:  “Is anyone sick among you?  He must call for the elders of the church (those strong in faith who have persevered in it) and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.”  James 5:14-15. Pray for one another that you may be healed and raised up.  Give Me your faith so I can work in the life of the sick one.  Sometimes they need another’s faith to get them through.  Bear one another’s burdens, cast them on Me and I will refresh and restore you.  The prayer of faith of a righteous man can accomplish MUCH.  James 5:16.

You see the early church doing this in corporate prayer and it had miraculous results.  It even shook the place where they prayed.  Acts 4:24-31.  They united in faith and prayed My Word with confident boldness. And it healed the sick and opened prison gates.

And what is the victory that overcomes the world?  Your faith. 1 John 5:4. Your faith combined with My power.  Faith and patience will bring the promise to pass.

Hold fast to your confession of faith. You believe so you speak.  That is the work of faith, to have faith in the One I sent to do the work of My Word.  Consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, NOT FORSAKING YOUR ASSEMBLING TOGETHER, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Gather together in faith and pray.  Give Me your faith so I can move mountains, release the oppressed, make the blind to see, raise the dead, heal the sick, and give abundant supply to all—life in all its fullness.  I cannot do it without your faith.  Pray alone, pray together, break bread together, meet in church, and proclaim My Word over the world.  Find a friend of faith who will pray the prayer of faith in agreement with you and watch it come to pass.  It will not delay, though some may call it delay, but never give up.  My Word is established forever in Heaven and it will come to pass.

I love you.  Have faith in Me and in the one whom I sent, Jesus Christ.  To know us is eternal life.  And that is everything.
