Officers & Directors
Bonnie L. Moore
Director and President
I incorporated Marana Ministries, Inc. in 2008 with a mission from God to share the good news of the Gospel with all the nations so our Lord Jesus can have the joy of retuning in His second coming to unite Heaven and earth in the Kingdom of God soon. This is God’s desire, to dwell with us and among us as our God and we as His people as He wipes every tear from our eyes and puts an end to pain, sorrow, and death forever. I am overjoyed to see our ministries and mission expanding and reaching out to more and more people to bring them into the light of His love as He floods the earth with the knowledge of His glory as the waters cover the sea! Besides running the ministry, composing music, teaching a weekly Bible Study on Zoom and filming our TV broadcast “Good News for You,” writing books, and holding annual confernces, workshops and meetings, I work as an attorney here in Honolulu, Hawaii doing trust and probate administration and estate planning.

My family and I love participating in the projects and ministries of Marana tha Ministries, Inc., especially with my daughters in our women’s ministry, Most Beautiful Among Women. I am seeking to please God and glorify Him with my life. Through this ministry I hope to share in bringing all people to the knowledge of His love and to bless everyone on earth.

I am a dedicated mother of 3 precious children from God, and a strong believer in family and God’s values for family. My desire is to learn to grow deeper in God’s love and ways every day and in everything I do. It is a blessing to be part of Marana tha Ministries and especially the “Most Beautiful Among Women” ministry group, where God continually provides opportunities to experience HIS great Glory, Mercy, and Love with and through others. I am a speech pathologist, working with the children of Hawaii through the Department of Education.

I am happy to be a part of all the beautiful projects of Marana tha Ministries and to see the amazing things God is doing in our lives.
Johnette Funtanilla
Director and Vice President
I am the mother of five wonderful children and have a wonderful godly husband! I have been in Bible Studies with Bonnie since she first began them and was one of the initial directors of Marana tha Ministries when it was founded in 2008. All my children have been in her Sunday school classes. I have been on Good News for You with Bonnie, as has been my entire family. My life has been greatly transformed and enriched by this ministry. I am currently doing private nursing and I am getting my Master’s degree in social work.
Lisa Shorba
Director and Vice President
I have known Bonnie for many years and have attended her Bible Studies and ministry meetings. I joined the Board of Directors and became an officer because of my belief in this ministry and my desire to be close to God and about Kingdom business. I have a heart for those who are suffering. I run the Rachel’s Vineyard ministry in Hawaii and organize the retreats to heal those who are suffering due to having been through abortion. I am a counselor at Kamehameha Schools for the students there.
Juanita Miguel

When she’s not in the classroom you can find her cooking, reading, sewing, painting, listening to music, singing and most of all spending quality time with her family. Her favorite part of each day is uncovering and witnessing children’s God given potentials.
Leilani Miguel
Director and Vice President
Leilani Miguel is a current student at The University of Hawai’i at Manoa. She will be graduating with a BA in Psychology and minor in Philosophy in Fall 2024. She was born in Tampa, Florida but mostly raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i. Her interest in psychology stems from being raised in Montessori philosophy and education by her mother, Juanita Miguel. Leilani became a member of Marana tha Ministries while preparing for the sacrament of Confirmation in 2017. Since then, she has been a part of the ministry’s music team, and has designed t-shirts, logos, flyers, and covers for Bonnie’s books and annual conferences. Her hope is to have a career in graphic design while pursuing music on the side, but the overall goal is continuing to use the gifts and talents God has given to put Christ in Action.
