Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:17.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Many people are too busy with things, even good things, that they don’t have time to pray. But what you have to understand is that prayer, I mean true prayer, is the most important part of your day because from it comes direction, strategy, and the plan for your abundant life.
The way I describe prayer to you is simple, Jesus told you it is not by going through long meaningless repetition as the Gentiles do, for they suppose that they will be heard for their many words. Do not be like them; for I, your Father, know what you need before you ask Me. Matthew 6:8. What is prayer then? It is about intimate relationship. It is about our secret place where our attention is just on each other and I tell you great and mighty things you could not know. Matthew 6: 6; Jeremiah 33:3. Come with confidence to My throne of grace so that you may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16. I am your refuge and your fortress. Psalm 91:2. “I am my Beloved’s and my Beloved is mine,” sings the bride of her relationship with Me, and it should be your Song of Songs too. Song of Songs 6:3. When you put your attention on Me, I instruct you in the way you should choose so your soul will abide in prosperity (and as your soul prospers you walk in outward health and prosperity, 3 John 1:2-3). Psalm 25:12. My secrets are for those who spend time with Me because they value time with Me, and I make them know their Covenant rights. Psalm 25:14. David, who prayed constantly, purposely set Me continually before him, that is, he reminded himself constantly that I was with him, and therefore he refused to let himself be shaken by circumstances and battles, Psalm 16:8, because he knew from experience that I would give him the battle plan that led to complete victory if he consulted me first. 1 Samuel 30:8; 2 Samuel 5:23-25. And it is even better for you now than it was for David, for you not only have the Holy Spirit on you, as David did, 1 Samuel 16:13, but you also have Him dwelling in you, John 14:17, 1 Corinthians 3:16, and He will tell you the things to come. John 16:13. This is extremely valuable information for you to know each day to avoid wrong paths, accidents, and harm and to take the prosperous road and make wise decisions in your work and life in general. David prayed: “To You, O LORD, I lift up my soul. O my God, in You I trust,” Psalm 25:1-2, and that describes a good way to begin to pray, lift up your mind and heart to My throne of grace where you are seated with and in Christ at My right hand and get your mind on My thoughts and seeking My ways, for My thoughts and ways are higher than yours so you need to raise up to a spiritual level to catch them, which you do when you pray in the Spirit. And he continues, “Make me know Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day.” Psalm 25:5. And this is what happens for you in prayer, My Holy Spirit shares My thoughts with you, 1 Corinthians 2:10-16, guides you to all truth, teaches you all things, and shares what is Mine with you. John 14:26; John 16:13-15. And David goes on to explain about unceasing prayer: “My eyes are continually toward the LORD, for He will pluck my feet out of the net.” Psalm 25:15.
To understand prayer better, for I tell you to pray without ceasing, but I also tell you to be busy about My Kingdom business on earth, witnessing and bringing all men to salvation and truth, look at the one thing My Son describes as necessary, and it describes the intimacy of prayer with Me: “Now as they were traveling along, Jesus entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.” But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:38-42.
Do you see? Mary sat at the feet of My Son and listened to His Word. She was receiving direction, correction, and the way of perfection. She was receiving revelation knowledge beyond what she could know. She was growing in faith, for faith comes by hearing and hearing My Word, and your faith is the victory that overcomes the world. She was gaining strength and strategy to be fruitful and increase. She was tapping into THE BLESSING. But Martha was so busy about her own strategies that she had no time for learning the better strategies. You may think you have too many responsibilities and duties, plans to make, and things to accomplish, but if you are doing them without My input it may be like when Peter fished without My Son in the boat and without receiving divine direction—he toiled all night and caught NOTHING. But when he set aside some time to listen to the Words of My Son, spoken in his boat, and then followed the diving strategy given him, the fish jumped into his lowered nets, filling them to overflowing and filling up his boat as well. Never had he had such a catch. Do you see? Divine direction received in prayer takes you from the world system to the Kingdom system and it makes all the difference—things begin to work for you instead of you working for things by listening to and declaring My Word.
I was teaching Joshua a way of prayer when I told him how to prosper and have good success, “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-8. And Joshua became so intimate with Me through My Word that he recognized My voice and discerned the instructions I gave him at Jericho, Ai, and every city and place I directed him to conquer. And when he spoke to Me, I spoke to him (and that is prayer). I even showed him how to speak to the sun and make it stop in its course. Joshua 10:12-14.
I have given you My Spirit to be in you and on you. He is the Paraclete, the counselor, the one by your side to teach you all things, guide you to all truth, and lead you in the way you should go. Why would you not make use of Him? Why do you make Him lie quiet and idle in your life when you could be dipping into all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge? Why do so many of you who believe in My Son and are born again from above by water and the Spirit continue to live just as those who do not believe do, that is, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from experiencing My life in them because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their hearts? They analyze and make decisions that are not from Me. There is a way that seems right to a man but it ends in death. Walk no longer as they do, as if you had no resource other than the world. You have the power of the Holy Spirit in you, who is the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding.
Let no filthy, idle, offensive word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:29-32.
Be filled with the Holy Spirit so that you can get in touch with Me and know what to do and when to do it so that your life is one of extraordinary value and excellence in what you do. Pray each day in tongues. For when you pray in tongues you are praying in the language of the Spirit and are receiving My thoughts as you speak out mysteries that I reveal to your understanding as you pray. My apostle Paul prayed in tongues more than any of you but he also prayed with understanding. I can do the same for you. Ask and you shall receive the interpretation as you need to show the way and light your path. I will give you strategies, treasures out of darkness—at first you do not understand as you pray in tongues but the treasures will come by the Spirit in you. I am conveying things to you beyond human speech but you will understand if you ask for the revelation of My Word. Why would you not want to tap into so great and powerful a resource, teacher, counselor, trainer, guide and advocate? Lean not on your own understanding but look to Me and I will direct your path. Seek divine wisdom at its source and rivers of living water will pour out of you to a thirsty world.
Is it not time for you to take some time to pray in the Spirit?
And you need to fill up every day, not just once or twice a year, and some go their whole lifetime without ever tapping into the Spirit within. Sad. Many, like the believers Paul came across in Ephesus, know nothing about the Holy Spirit. Just read the Gospel of John, Chapters 14, 15, and 16, and you will find out why Jesus thought telling them of the Holy Spirit was the most important thing He could give them before He ascended back to Me. And as He ascended He made them the promise of the Holy Spirit. That is what He died to give you. That is why He told you it was better He died, rose and ascended because otherwise the Holy Spirit would not have been able to come to dwell in you. If you but knew My gift to you, you would ask My Son to pour My Spirit into your heart without measure.
I love you. Pray the Bible way, in SPIRIT and in TRUTH (My Word is truth). Come and meet with Me each day in the secret place of your heart, the Kingdom of God is accessed by My Spirit from within your spirit once you have received Jesus as your LORD.
