The Lord God (Adonai YHWH) has given me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens me morning by morning, He awakens my ear to listen as a disciple. The Lord God (Adonai YHWH) has opened My ear; and I was not disobedient nor did I turn back.” Isaiah 50:4-5.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:20.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
If today you hear My voice harden not your heart. But how do you know if it is My voice you are hearing? It is really very easy to determine. Does the word you hear in your heart encourage, comfort, exhort, instruct, and enlighten you? Is it sweet in your soul? Does it bring tears to your eyes because of the edification it gives you? Does it lift you up and put new fire in your heart? And above all, does it match up with what I tell you in the Bible? If you hear words that strike you with fear of harm, sickness, lack of finances or sudden disaster, they are NOT from Me but from the enemy of your soul.
Job listened to the enemy and went into fear and saw punishment coming on his children, but those thoughts were not from Me. But he opened his heart to those and what he did not understand is when he then took up those fears as his own thoughts and acted on them, he let down the hedge of protection I had around him and invited what he feared into his life. And the minute the devil had an opening, he came in full force. Do not give the devil an opportunity, an open window, so to speak, into your mind and life. Harden your heart to him and open your heart to Me.
Do you know what it means to harden you heart? It just means you do not do what My Word instructs you to do. Instead you go after the opposite. For example, I spoke victory, abundance, and joy to the Israelites and they spoke defeat, poverty, and sorrow, and for their own lives, their words prevailed over Mine. And you are doing the same if you speak sickness, disease and pain as your life and ignore that I am your healer, that I heal all your diseases, and that My Son bore your sins, diseases, and pains so that you are redeemed from all that. Death and life are in the hand of your tongue. I have given you My Words to heal you and deliver you from your destructions, if you choose not to apply them to the problem like medicine that is your own fault, so stop blaming Me, like Job did, when you are hardening your hearts so that I cannot enter and do anything for you. The Israelites in the wilderness grieved Me by limiting what I could do in their lives and many of you are doing the same, though you do not realize it. Like them, you believe you are just speaking the truth. But you are speaking temporary circumstances in a fallen world filled with the curse caused by joining with the father of lies (who is the devil) and you are not speaking what the truth is, which is My Word. My Word is truth and it sanctifies you in truth. John 17:17.
The words of YOUR mouth can help you or hurt you. And you are doing it yourself. You really should not be blaming Me, or anyone else, including your parents, siblings, friends, co-workers, and/or boss for the mess you are in. If you would speak the solution with Me instead of the problem things would turn around quickly if you put a good amount of diligence into speaking My Word and praying in tongues over the situation. But if all you do is grumble and complain and tell others what a horror the others are and how bad your situation is, guess what? It will be just as you say and it will not get better, only worse.
By your words you are acquitted and by your words you are condemned. You are kings and priests and they work by declaring and speaking and praying, followed by corresponding actions. And so should your life be—focused, targeted, purposeful, and triumphant. The righteous (and you are in Christ) live by faith. And faith believes in the heart and speaks with the mouth. And faith comes by hearing, so take care what you are listening to, make sure it is My Word.
So if today you hear My voice, which is My Word, harden not your heart. Do not reject it and speak your own idle words. My Words are not idle, they are your very life and your lifeline. They are living and working, they contain eternal life, they contain My faith and power, and they are healing and health to all your flesh. When you face a problem, look up a Scripture that addresses that and inform the problem of the Word I have said and move it out of the way. Mark 11:22-24. My Holy Spirit will guide you to the right passage to edify you, just ask for the right Scripture and He will show you.
How do you know the Word of direction for your path that day is from Me? If you are truly seeking Me with all your heart, I will open the ears of your heart—give you a hearing heart, as I gave Solomon at his request (so ask Me as he did and I will give it to you). Listen to what I showed My prophet Isaiah: “The Lord God (Adonai YHWH) has given me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. If you abide in, continue in, remain in, immerse yourself in, My Word, you are truly My disciple and then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. If you seek Me, you will hear from Me. And the way you seek Me is in My Word. And when you become familiar with and have renewed your mind to My way of thinking, you will hear My voice. The Word speaks. Give attention to My Words and you will hear from Me. My sheep know My voice. The more time you spend with Me in My Word, the easier it will be for you to discern My voice. But if you never spend any time in My Word, that is, reading, meditating on and speaking Scripture passages from the Bible, you will not recognize Me. I have told you this for thousands of years. I told Moses to tell the children of Israel to write them on their doorposts, their wrist bands, and keep them always before their eyes. This is true of you with others in the natural realm as well. You do not recognize someone’s voice that you have never listened to or had fellowship with. But if your spouse, child, sibling, or a dear friend should enter a room behind you and say something you will know it is that person before you even turn around to see them. Why? You have learned to recognize their voice. Many will say that this is difficult with Me because I am not standing there talking to you, but, truly I tell you, that if you read My Word and remain in it, abide in it, from the written Word (logo) you will come to know My spoken Word (rhema) in your life, for My voice is in My Word. Proverbs 6:22.
The more time you spend with Me, the better you will know Me. David wrote for your edification by the Spirit that he kept Me always before his eyes and was always reminding himself that I was walking with him wherever he went. Psalm 16:8. He found fullness of joy in My presence. Psalm 16:11. And how did he keep himself there? Praising, thanking, and making melody in his heart at all times. Psalm 34:1-3. In a fear, he sought Me and I delivered him from all his fears. Psalm 34:4. You should do likewise if you want a fear-free life. I am with you even in the valley of the shadow of death, with My rod and My staff. Psalm 23. Be aware of Me and lean on Me. You will hear from Me if you seek Me. Ask Me questions, call on Me, and I will answer you and tell you great and mighty things you could not know.
Let us do life together. I sent Jesus to give you abundant life and He is My gift to you so that you can live your life through Him. This makes you more than a conqueror, for as He is, so are you in this world, and Satan has NO part in My Son. And in Christ, he should have no part in you. Harden your heart to the lies of the devil (do not repeat the fears, dread, offense, anger, and bitter words he gives you, close them out and shut him down), you will not follow the voice of a stranger (words contrary to My promises), for you recognize My voice and do not go with a counterfeit. Discern. My Holy Spirit will give you that gift.
Pursue earnestly the gifts of the Holy Spirit to benefit all, but above all pursue Love, and I am Love, and I am My Word, and you will live a fruitful life. And you will hear and know My voice. Obey My written Word first—forgive, walk in love, give, but always speak the truth and never give in to evil, snatch people out of the flames for that is true love when you set people free with the good news of Jesus—and then when I speak to your heart with a direction, you will know My voice and you will follow in a wonderful partnership with Me, My Son, and My Spirit.
Are you ready? Then open the ears of your heart that they may hear My still gentle voice amid the glamor of the world.
I love you. Never say you don’t hear from Me, because you do. It may be, however, that you just do not recognize My voice over the stranger’s voice because you have never given the time or study to know My Word. You may have spent your life listening to the stranger, who is a thief of your destiny, so that you recognize him better than Me. Perhaps you have treated Me as a stranger to you though I am your creator, Father and LORD. I give you an invitation to come to the banquet of My Word today and take your place with Me at table and get to know Me and My voice. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. Revelation 3:20.
