To You they cried out and were delivered. In You they trusted and were not disappointed. Psalm 22:5.
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God. And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1-5.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Disappointments. You will have trials in this life, but take courage, Jesus has overcome the world and He is in you and you can live your life through Him. Greater is He who is in you, than he who is in the world.
When you have a disappointment do not draw back and give up. Even if you made a mistake or a wrong choice (or even if you did the wrong thing on purpose), I am bigger than your disappointment and I can redeem any situation.
My Word is true and if you do it, it will give your life what I promise. If you are disappointed—and the greater your hope and excitement, the bigger your disappointment will be if you thought it would surely come to pass and it did not—you are tempted to put the blame on Me and think My Word does not work. But that is the wrong road to take, it will end you in a dead end of depression and a mental picture of doubt and unbelief that perverts your faith. Do not ask Me why My Word is not working, that is the wrong question, My Word is tried and true, established forever and will never pass away. It works. I watch over it to perform it. Instead ask the right question which is essentially to inquire how you missed it so that you did not obtain the promised result. I will show you and instruct you in the way you should go and I will only do it one way: through My Word. Become a scientist of My Word. What I mean, is be like a scientist who will not quit until he finds the answer no matter how many times he misses it in his first experiments. He just keeps rearranging until it works.
Let us say you are not prospering and you had thought you definitely would because My Word promises in Psalm 1 that “whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalm 1:3. You believed that I would open the windows of Heaven for you and pour down a blessing you cannot contain because you read that in Malachi 3:10. You think of Psalm 112, that wealth and riches are in the house of a righteous man, and you know you are righteous in Christ. You know you are redeemed from the curse and should be living in the BLESSING of Abraham. Galatians 3:13-14. You see that in 3 John 1:2, I tell you that above all I desire that you prosper and be in good health, and in Luke 6:38 I tell you that good things will be poured out to you till they overflow your lap. You then decide My Word does not work. But this is not the case. You need to see what it is the man in Psalm 1 and Psalm 112 does to obtain that promise. You need to study what the conditions are in Malachi 3:10 and 3 John 1:2 to obtain the desired result. You must seek out the answer to what the one did who got back good things that overflowed in Luke 6:38. And if you want to have all good things added to you it is good to look at Matthew 6:33 and read back to what caused that to happen.
Christ took on your poverty so that you might take on his riches. But it is not automatic. It comes by faith, and faith speaks, but it also acts on My Word. Faith without works is dead. Healing comes by faith and speaking over your body or another’s and the Word heals. But prosperity is different, it does not just involve you and Me, as healing does, it involves investing your talents and, if you note, whatever you DO prospers. I prosper the work of your hands. It has to do with your assignment. And you will note it is other men that pour the abundance into your lap, which denotes service and business. Prosperity is something you do not do all alone. It is done in partnership and community.
But it all comes from the same source as healing and long life, walking in good health, and having a life of shalom—a long satisfying and fruitful life. I gave everything he needed to Adam in the earth, but I entrusted him with cultivating and guarding it. I gave him stewardship. I BLESSED him to increase, not to sit where he was.
When things don’t look right according to My Word in your life, the first step is to ask Me what is wrong and if you are born again, the Wonderful Counselor I have poured into your heart will guide you to all truth and teach you all things. And the way He does this is by My Word, which I breathed through Him into the world. He knows My deepest thoughts and He shares My thoughts with you. You are not alone in a disappointment, which is really only a missed appointment, I am with you by My Spirit. And He can get you back on track—back on the triumphant Highway of Holiness. Isaiah 35:8-11.
But you have to be willing to obey My Word to fix the situation so it works. If you will operate by Kingdom principles your life will prosper. There is nothing else that can happen. If it is not, you are not operating by Kingdom principles, so instead of crying, yelling, complaining and blaming, it is time to put off the number 10 face, and look up at Me and smile. You will never be ashamed. “This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him and saved him out of all his troubles.” Psalm 34:6. David wrote that about himself, and it was true. He once was poor with nothing and was running for his life, but he became the richest and most powerful king of his time and his son Solomon came into his father’s gain. David was generous and extravagant with Me and good to all.
Well, let us then look at Psalm 1 and see what insights and instruction you can glean. Maybe you will find your roadblock to prosperity is your own self and not My Word. I teach you to prosper and the way you should go, but if you are going off in your own way and the ways of the ungodly and expecting My Word to perform you will be disappointed. You have set your sights off the mark. You need to readjust your vision and you do this by knowledge of My Word. You must renew your mind to operate in Kingdom principles. In the Kingdom, grace makes it and faith is the currency that takes it, and faith works by love, so really it all comes down to walking in love and believing My Word is true.
So let us take a look at Psalm 1, stop by Psalm 12 and Malachi 3:10, then on to Luke 6 and Matthew 6, and end with 3 John 1:2-4.
Psalm 1, the very first of the Psalms, begins: “How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers.” Psalm 1:1-3. There is a great deal of information here. Here you find what the man looks like that prospers in whatever he does. He is BLESSED. He does not walk in the counsel of the wicked. You cannot serve two masters, either you are focused on Me and My Word or you are focused on the evil one and his ways, mammon. It takes diligence on your part, it is a whole new realm to live in. The righteous shall live by faith. Do not establish yourself in the path of sinners, do not join with the scoffers. I tell you to pray for people and encourage and exhort them, not to judge and be rude to them. Not to make fun of people. But this man who prospers delights in My Word and meditates My Word (which is spiritual law) day and night. He is rooted and grounded in love, he is attached to the Vine by remaining in My Word and letting My Word remain in him. And when you are grounded on the foundation of My Word you cannot be shaken by drought, famine, adverse conditions, and your vigor and youth are renewed (its leaf does not wither). In whatever you do you will prosper. It just takes one Word from Me and if you act on it, you will find the answer to your problems.
Next Psalm 112, let us look at how this man gets so blessed: “Praise the Lord! How blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. Light arises in the darkness for the upright. He is gracious and compassionate and righteous. It is well with the man who is gracious and lends; He will maintain his cause in judgment. For he will never be shaken; the righteous will be remembered forever. He will not fear evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is upheld, he will not fear, until he looks with satisfaction on his adversaries. He has given lavishly and freely to the poor, his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be exalted in honor. The wicked will see it and be vexed, he will gnash his teeth and melt away; the desire of the wicked will perish.” You see, again, it is the one who delights in My Word and stands on it, even when he hears bad news, he knows he has good news that can turn all that around. He knows that I am taking care of him. And a new note here—he is generous and helps the poor.
So far we see the man that prospers meditates in My Word day and night, avoids ungodly company and watches his words, trusts in My Word in good and bad times to bring him through to the desired result, and is generous with his money, gives freely to the poor. He who gives to the poor lends to Me and I repay.
Now Malachi 3: “From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD of hosts. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’ Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you! Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows. Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the LORD of hosts. “All the nations will call you blessed, for you shall be a delightful land,” says the LORD of hosts.” Malachi 3:8-11. Here is another element to check on in your life. Do you tithe? The tithe is the first tenth of all your increase. So for most people it is one-tenth of their salary or other income. If you give Me the first tenth, which represents the whole, then I can bless the rest. It is transferring your funds, the work of your hands, into the Kingdom system and out of the world system. It shows that you are a citizen of Heaven and are giving to the work of the Kingdom. You pay taxes of what you make to the government for the upkeep of the roads, common areas, parks, schools, government officials, and everything else that goes into the upkeep, sustaining and maintaining of the land. It is your partnership in keeping things running. And so it is for My church and its works on earth. Funding from the members as stock holders, citizens, partners, and helpers. You are ministering to ministries that share My Word and increase Kingdom territory with your tithes and offerings. And you are partnering with the church body that is feeding you on the Word. But above all it shows your trust in Me to handle your finances and increase you since you have put your finances in My hands, represented by the first tenth which represents the whole.
In Psalm 1 we began with what you say, your thoughts and total immersion in My Word. In Psalm 112 we kept all that and added giving to the poor to honor Me and in Malachi 3 we added giving to My Kingdom works on earth by consistent tithes and offerings to honor Me and bless the Body to grow and do good works.
Now look at Luke 6:37-38: “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned. Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”
Here we see My Word being put into practice. Now you have meditated on it, spoken it, refrained from walking with the wicked and taking up their ungodly ways. You are generous with helping others in their needs, knowing that is never loss for you but gain for I bless you for that and increase your seed sown so that you have an abundance for good works (wealth and riches in your house) and now we add not judging, not condemning, and forgiving, which then are returned to you so that you are not judged, condemned and are forgiven by others, you have set the standard that I and others measure back to you, it is up to you. And we see again the giving to receive abundance to keep up the giving and receiving cycle. I bless you, as I told Abraham, so that you will be a blessing—even as far as blessing every person on earth. And what you sow comes back to you in an abundant harvest, not just from the windows of Heaven, but in favor with other men who then are generous with you. You set the measure.
Now consider Matthew 6:31-34, which adds another dimension—that of stopping worry by trusting Me to provide for you as you pursue your Kingdom assignment, “Do not worry then, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear for clothing?’ For the Gentiles (unbelievers and ungodly) eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Seek the Kingdom, in other words, find out how My Kingdom works so that you can operate by Kingdom laws resulting in Kingdom benefits. This is transferring out of the world system, where you spend away your life going after things to survive and feed your body with no heavenly vision, into the Kingdom system, where the things chase after you as you pursue Kingdom business and seek to follow My ways of righteousness, which is a gift that then enables you to walk in dominion authority, now you can speak to things, command storms, change nations, and everything from a new perspective, you now have taken your seat at My right hand with Christ and are reigning in life through Him. If you see your life as merely pursuing money so you can provide for your needs then you will never find your assignment.
And just a couple of other passages to meditate on in your search to find how you can order your life so that I can prosper you in all you do. Consider 2 Corinthians 9:6-11: “Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. as it is written, “He scattered abroad, he gave to the poor, his righteousness endures forever.” Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God.” This passage has to do with the laws of the Kingdom, which is giving to receive, sowing to harvest. In My house is provision so you can minister to others. You determine the harvest you take in by what you sow. And do you see? This passage quotes Psalm 112, he gave freely and lavishly to the poor and was gracious to those in need, delighting in My Word. And his delight and love for Me, resulted in his application of My Word in his dealings with others. He honored Me as he honored others because of his love for Me. And notice it is as you purpose in your heart. Pray about your giving and see what I direct you to give and where. I will direct you if you but ask for direction, and then you will not fear giving or waiver in it for you will have My input and direction which gives you purpose and trust of My blessing upon your sowing so that it will produce an abundant harvest back to you so that you can increase your giving and that will increase your receiving. When I can trust you with wealth to do good to others and to promote My Kingdom, I entrust you with more. I increase the seed you have to sow and that increases your harvest. You note, I increase the seed and then you sow more to harvest more. You determine the harvest as I give you the seed. That is what the parable of the talents is about. Sowing what I give you to produce a hundred fold harvest. Without provision you have no vision. You do not have to have the harvest first to do extraordinary projects, all you need is the seed to sow that will grow. Obtaining money is not your purpose, it is not the goal of your labor to hoard wealth, Paul advised those who had been stealing from others to survive to work with their hands so that they had something to give to help others. You work for the seed to sow that gives you the harvest.
Now consider 3 John 1:2-4: “Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. For I was very glad when brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you are walking in truth. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.” Here you see to prosper and be in good health in all aspects of your life, your soul must be prospering. Prosperity and health start from the inside out. It starts within you in your soul. Your soul is your mind, will and emotions, when you have renewed your mind to the truth of My Word then worry ceases, for as you continue in My Word you are truly My disciple and you will know the truth and it will set you free. You know you can trust Me to take care of your needs, wants and desires as you walk in the truth of My Word and apply it in your life. And it is exciting as you see yourself prospering and in good health, going from glory to glory as you rest in Me by abiding in My Word. My BLESSING brings wealth and I add no hard toil with it.
I love you. Never let a disappointment stop you. You already have what you need. Look for it until you have learned the laws of the Kingdom, and watch your life go to a whole new dimension. Disappointment is not the final statement, it is the groundwork for change. There is no problem that I cannot fix. Nothing that I cannot redeem. If you do My Word, you will prosper. Do not just look at it, be a doer of it. Disappointment gives a false image of failure and makes you feel like your life is over, but that has perverted your faith, don’t fall into hopelessness and depression, just ask the right questions. All you really need is knowledge of the laws of the Kingdom so you can tap into My Kingdom, but for lack of knowledge My people perish.
