And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your seed be.” Then he believed in the LORD; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness. Genesis 15:1-6.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
When I promised Abraham, then called Abram, his long-desired dream of having a son with his wife Sarah, Abraham just could not picture it at his age. He laid on the ground and laughed. So I gave him a new vision to look at, taking his eyes off his body and past history.
Abram said, “O Lord God, what will You give me, since I am childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?” And Abram said, “Since You have given no offspring to me, one born in my house is my heir.” Then behold, the word of the LORD came to him, saying, “This man will not be your heir; but one who will come forth from your own body, he shall be your heir.” And He took him outside and said, “Now look toward the heavens, and count the stars, if you are able to count them.” And He said to him, “So shall your seed be.” Then he believed in the LORD; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness. Genesis 15:1-6.
And what happened in Abraham’s heart as a result of the new vision I gave him?
In hope against hope he believed, so that he might become a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken, “So shall your seed be.” Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb; yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform. Hebrews 4:18-21.
Often I would ask My prophets, when they were in what looked like an impossible situation, “What do you see?” And I would show them a vision. Or I would tell them to lift up their eyes and look. And then I would show them things to come. And everything changed when they saw more than they could see with just their five senses. Suddenly a path appeared where there had been none, like Moses at the Red Sea.
After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” Revelation 4:1.
Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3.
The Israelites that refused to conquer the Promised Land said they saw themselves like grasshoppers in their eyes. They did not see themselves as conquerors. And yet I had made them more than conquerors, for when I, the Most High Almighty God, am with you, who can be against you? What picture do you have of yourself in your mind when trouble comes?
So they gave out to the sons of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone, in spying it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants; and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size. There also we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak are part of the Nephilim); and we became like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” Numbers 13:32-33.
My servant James tells you to see ourselves in the mirror of My Word. And there you can see yourself healed, strong, healthy, forgiven, wise, redeemed, prosperous, successful, and beloved. You need a new picture of your life. And if you dream it with Me, I will show it to you in My Word.
“The days draw near as well as the fulfillment of every vision.” Ezekiel 12:23.
Do not let disappointments and past failures paint your vision. Let My Word paint your picture. So how do you get the picture before your eyes? Be like Abraham and lift your eyes.
Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Colossians 3:1-2.
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18.
First, what are the desires of your heart? Healing from a disease, illness, arthritis, pain, or any other sickness or disorder? Finances to pay off your debts? Finances to pay rent and your bills? A home of your own? A promotion at work? The shalom peace of your children? A new car? A job? Help at a difficult job? The salvation of a loved one? Freedom from an addiction?
Be specific. If you want more money, calculate what you need and name the amount. If you need a home, whether it be a rental such as a condo or a house, or owning one, start where you are with your faith and make a list of exactly the features you want and the price. If you need healing, be specific about what you are fighting and what parts of you need healing. If it is a spouse, be specific what characteristics and status you desire. If it is the salvation or cure of a loved one, the return of a child, the healing of a relationship—be specific.
And answering him, Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” And the blind man said to Him, “Rabboni, I want to regain my sight!” And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road. Mark10:51-52.
Find a Scripture that gives My promise and speaks to your heart about your desire. For example, if you are believing to own your own home, here are some Scriptures from which you could choose the one that speaks to your heart:
“The LORD also declares to you that the LORD will make a house for you.” Samuel 7:11.
“For You, O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, have made a revelation to Your servant, saying, ‘I will build you a house’; therefore Your servant has found courage to pray this prayer to You. Now, O Lord God, You are God, and Your words are truth, and You have promised this good thing to Your servant.” Samuel 7:27-28.
They took possession of houses full of every good thing, hewn cisterns, vineyards, olive groves, fruit trees in abundance. So they ate, were filled and grew fat, and reveled in Your great goodness. Nehemiah 9:25.
“Then it shall come about when the Lord your God brings you into the land which He swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you, great and splendid cities which you did not build, and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and hewn cisterns which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you eat and are satisfied, then watch yourself, that you do not forget the Lord who brought you from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.” Deuteronomy 6:10-12.
Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last, first.” Mark 10:29-31.
By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; and by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. Proverbs 24:3-4.
Or let us say you need healing of an ailment you feel you caused by addictive behaviors or unwise lifestyles:
Fools, because of their rebellious way, and because of their iniquities, were afflicted. Their soul abhorred all kinds of food, and they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble; He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions. Let them give thanks to the Lord for His lovingkindness, and for His wonders to the sons of men! Let them also offer sacrifices of thanksgiving, and tell of His works with joyful singing. Psalm 107:17-22.
There are over one hundred Scriptures about healing and many specific Scriptures about different organs, body parts (legs, navel, abdomen, feet, teeth, hair—especially in Song of Songs). There are many Scriptures about renewal of youth and about strength for weakness, healing of deaf ears, blind eyes, the protection and peace of your children, provision, prosperity, peace, joy, deliverance, and much more! There really is a solution in My Word for every problem known to man, complete with the promise and how to get the promise.
And then you need to have a plan of what you will do with it if you receive what you are asking for. See yourself in your new home and how you will take care of it. See yourself holding your new baby. Envision what will do with your new ministry funds or buildings. Get the plan. Pharaoh had a vision but he could do nothing with it until I sent the man with the plan to make it happen, Joseph, sold as a slave who became the highest ranking official next to Pharaoh in Egypt. Why? Because before Pharaoh ever had a dream, I gave Joseph a dream, actually two of them, and he kept that vision before his eyes until it came to pass. And I was with him. Why? He was walking in the spirit and not in the flesh. His eyes were on Me.
And Joseph’s brothers came and bowed down to him with their faces to the ground. When Joseph saw his brothers, he recognized them, but they did not recognize him. Joseph remembered the dreams which he had about them. Genesis 42:6-7,9.
“Can we find a man like this, in whom is a divine spirit?” So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one so discerning and wise as you are. You shall be over my house, and according to your command all my people shall bow the knee; only in the throne I will be greater than you.” Genesis 41:38-40
Commit your works to the LORD And your plans will be established. Proverbs 16:3.
Then David gave to his son Solomon the plan . . . the temple, its buildings, its storehouses, its upper rooms, its inner rooms and the room for the mercy seat; and the plan of all that he had in his spirit, for the courts of the house of the Lord, and for all the surrounding rooms, for the storehouses of the house of God and for the storehouses of the dedicated things . . . “All this,” said David, “the LORD made me understand in writing by His hand upon me, all the details of this pattern.” 1 Chronicles 28:11-19.
Pray in the Spirit, tongues, to draw it out.
“It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” Joel 2:28-29.
“But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it, in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for believers according to the will of God.” Romans 8:25-26.
Write down what you desire
Then the LORD answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run. “For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay.” Hosea 2:2-3.
In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel saw a dream and visions in his mind as he lay on his bed; then he wrote the dream down and related the summary of it. Daniel 7:1.
I have also spoken to the prophets, and I gave numerous visions, and through the prophets I gave parables. Hosea 12:10.
Create a vision board to set before your eyes. I have set up your minds and imagination so that you think in pictures. If you hear “red apple” you do not see the written words in your mind, you visualize a red apple. You have to see a new picture of yourself because “where the mind goes, the man follows.”
Find pictures that speak to you of what you desire so that you can gaze upon that when you want to slip back to old negative pictures. Cut and paste the picture and put the Scripture you choose below it.
Would you like an example?
Say that you have need of a new kidney. I can supply that if you believe. It is according to your faith that you make the connection to the supernatural to the natural. So find your picture and your Scripture, speak to your body and make your declaration in faith. Call in those things that be not until they are. You have it, you just need to bring it out from within to the outside, inner man to outer man by speaking, declaring and doing violence to any unbelief that is countering your faith.
The LORD makes all things new! He has given me new and healthy kidneys!
For You formed my kidneys; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:13-14.
But now, O LORD, You are our Father, we are the clay, and You our potter; and all of us are the work of Your hand. Isaiah 64:8.
And yes, in the original Hebrew the word you see translated as “inward parts” is actually the word “kidneys” (kilyah in Hebrew) in Psalm 139. I am your creator who can reform and remake your inward parts. You are the clay and I am the potter. Do you give Me permission to work on you? There is no other way I can invade your world unless you authorize Me and unless you agree with My Word.
I love you. Write the vision down, get a new picture in your mind of yourself in accordance with My Word, find your passage of Scripture, do what I tell you to do to get the desired result, and then run with it. It will not disappoint. Surely it will come to pass. Faith and patience says it all. Just believe. That is all, just believe. Like Jesus told Jairus. Like Jesus told the father of the boy with the demon who threw him into fits and seizures. Just believe that My Word will win and it will. According to your faith. That is the connection that leads to perfection. I watch over My Word to perform it.
