With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12.

“Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. Father, glorify your name!” John 12:27-28.

I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. John 17:4-5.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Ask what you will, My Heart is open to you.

What is on your heart?  What would you ask for?  You have this confidence, if you ask anything according to My will, I hear you, and you know that if I hear you, what you have asked for is yours.  1 John 5:14-15.

And My Son tells you that if you remain in My Word and My Word remains in you, you shall ask what you want and it shall be done for you. John 15:7.

If you delight yourself in Me, I give you your hearts desires. Psalm 37:4.

Do you really know what your heart desires?  Do you really know what is pulling you? Do you really know why sometimes you feel so empty and sad? There is a longing, a thirst, a call in you that you hear as in a distance but sometimes cannot get your mind around.  It is in your heart.  It is like the pull that comes to the migrating bird at the appropriate time that impels him to go to a distant land.

But many times you just shove that longing down and continue as you are because you cannot quite get deep enough to know why that pull is there.  Deep calls unto deep.

My Son had this when He put aside His powers as God to humble Himself to share your humanity, as one just like you in everything but sin.  But He recognized that sadness, that longing, for what it was and knew just what would satisfy that longing.  You would do well to follow Him and imitate Him for He is your eternal life.  He is My Word made flesh.  He did not just know Scripture, He is Scripture. He is the Word.

Do you recall when He felt this deep sadness, this longing, in His soul?  He said “Now My soul has become troubled; and what shall I say, ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour. Father, glorify Your Name.”  John 12:27-28.

He asked that I glorify My Name in Him.

Ponder this and delve more deeply into what I am telling you here.  If you pray this, then your thirst and inner longing will be satisfied by the result.

Let Me explain.

I am your Father.  A parent is glorified when his child is strong, healthy, successful, prosperous, and happy.  A parent is glorified when his child does great accomplishments and inventions.  A parent is glorified when his child is whole in every area of his or her life.  A parent is glorified when his child is glorified.  A parent is exalted when his child is exalted for the child is a reflection of the parent. For My Name to be glorified in you, you must be filled with My goodness until it overflows for all to see.

Jesus told you this.  At the Last Supper, Jesus prayed: “Father, the hour has come.  Glorify your Son, so your Son may glorify you.” John 17:1.  And He went on to say how He glorified Me, “I glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work You gave Me to do. Now glorify Me with you with the glory I had with you before the world began.” John 17:3.

When you pray that I glorify My Name in you, you are actually praying that you be healed, whole, and complete and that you walk in, live out, and accomplish the wonderful assignment I gave to you—the life of good deeds I prepared for you before I made the world that you might walk in them.  It is your place, your grace, and your joy of operating in your special gift for the benefit of all.  It is finding and living in your Promised Land.  It is being fruitful, fulfilled, and blessed, just as I first commanded Adam and Eve.  It is fulfilling your destiny.  And that is the only way you can ever be truly happy and satisfied. With long life I will satisfy you when you are walking with Me in the pathway for your life.

When you glorify Me, I glorify you.

And then your light—your goodness and the beauty and prosperity of your life—shines out upon the people around you and they give glory to Me.  Matthew 5:16.  The more prosperous, successful, and blessed your life becomes the more glory it gives Me.  For the success of children is a reflection on the parent.

Whenever there was a healing done by Jesus or one of His followers My goodness was displayed and people glorified Me as the source of the healing.

You need to seek to glorify Me for your own fulfillment and glory.  Jesus explained this when He said, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is My Father who glorifies Me.”  John 8:54. And at the Last Supper, He told His disciples, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him. If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and glorify Him immediately.” John 13:31-32.

Your deep hunger and longing is for My glory in your life.  My glory is the manifestation of My goodness, My power and My presence.  And that is what you are seeking—My goodness, My power, and My comforting, loving, all knowing presence.  And that is My Covenant with you.  To forgive all your sins, to heal all your ills, to rescue you from the pit, to surround you with love and compassion, to fill your days with good things, and to renew your youth like the eagles. Psalm 103:3-5. And to give you the promise of My Spirit as the pledge of eternal life with Me forever. 2 Corinthians 1:22.  I delight in doing good to you.  Jeremiah 32:41.  And this is what you are searching for—goodness in every area of your life.

Taste and see My goodness.  And that is My glory in you and on you.  So let your light shine before others that they may see goodness in your acts—your good deeds—and glorify your Father in Heaven.  Matthew 5:16. Glory.  And it is in doing your assignment of good deeds that your light shines—the light of My glory in you.  Christ in you, your hope of glory! For He is the Light of the world.

When you receive Jesus as your Lord and are born again you become a new creation in Christ.  And if you cling to Him and abide in Him as a branch does in a vine you will become more and more like Him for My grace will be flowing into you as you are attached to Him be conformed to the image of My Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. And by faith in Him you are justified; and those I justified, these I also glorified.  Romans 8:29-30. With My own glory, My own goodness, so that you would reflect Me—going from glory to glory as you gaze upon the Face of Christ, which is gazing upon My Word, for He is My Word made flesh.

My Word will transform you.  Read it, hear it, speak it, and meditate on it.  Plant it in your heart and let it grow and you will yield a harvest through perseverance.

So when you find yourself overwhelmed with a deep longing and desire that you want to satisfy in your life but are not quite sure what it is that you need to fill it, pray that I glorify My Name in you. And that will bring you all that your heart desires.  It will fill your life with good things and renew your youth like the eagle’s.  It will bring you into your glorious existence prepared for you in advance. It will turn your life into a life that blesses others and makes their lives glorify Me too.

I love you.  Pray that I glorify My Name in you and you will have all your heart’s desires filled—for I will fill your life with My goodness and the sweetness of My lovingkindness. Come home to glory.  It is yours since the foundation of the world and you can begin to live and walk in it now.
