O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the secret place of the steep ascent, let Me see your face, let Me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your appearance is lovely. Song of Songs 2:14.

My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22.

The LORD spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they paid no attention. 2 Chronicles 33:10.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Let Me see your face, let Me hear your voice, for you are lovely and your voice to Me is sweet. I am calling for your attention. Jesus told you that He knocks at the door of your heart. He calls to you, “Come to Me.” I stretch out My hands to you all the day. I invite you all to the wedding feast of My Son with His bride the Church, and you who believe are a member of the body of the Church, the Bride, so the feast is for you, but so many of you pay no attention.

I am seeking your attention. My eyes are going to and fro across the earth searching for those whose hearts are full towards Me. I am seeking to draw you into My glory, into My love, into My very heart. When I lifted up Jesus, He drew all men to Himself, and through the new and living way He opened for you, He draws you into Me. I am seeking your face so that we can make eye contact. David sang, “Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice, and be gracious to me and answer me. When You said, ‘Seek My face,’ my heart said to You, ‘Your face, O LORD, I shall seek.’” Psalm 27:7-8. Keep your eyes on Jesus, and His eyes are as flames of fire. The fire of love. And as they listened to His Words as He revealed My Words to them, the disciples on the way to Emmaus found their hearts enflamed with new life.

How I long to gather you to Myself. How I long to dwell among you and you dwell with and in Me. Wisdom calls to you in the streets and at the crossroads of your life. I ask you to seek Me while I can be found and to call to Me while I am near. Why? Because My heart’s desire is for all people to be saved and come to know the truth. To see the glory of My Son that is also your glory for He is God and Man and raises you up to your glorious body on the last day. Above all, I desire that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers. I call you to My own Kingdom and glory.

Blessed are the ears that hear and pay attention, and the eyes that see and focus on Jesus.

But what do you pay attention to in order to give Me your attention? The same you do for anyone to give them attention. You listen to their words. And not just listen but take them into your heart and value them. You give you undivided attention to what you find important.

Give attention to My Words; incline your ear to My sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22.

So to give Me attention is to be attentive to My Words. And  how do you do that? Attentive means you focus on My Words and block out all other distractions, voices, and words as of lesser value. You do not choose to pay attention to the inferior when you have the superior. What you give value to, what your heart desires, you keep focused on it and other things dim in comparison. Like putting a magnifying glass on it.

My Son told a parable about a sower sowing seed. Some fell on the hard stone of the footpath and birds came and ate it before it ever planted. Some fell on shallow ground and withered when the sun came out and had no lasting root. Some fell among thorns that choked it out from producing any fruit. And some seed fell on good soil and produced thirty, sixty or one-hundred-fold. May Son explained that the seed was My Word and the soil is your heart. Those who pay no attention to and see no value in My Words are the ones with hard hearts and the devil steals the Word from you before it can make a difference in your life. The shallow ground are those who pay momentary attention but trials or distractions pull it right out. The thorny ground are those who pay attention but then the cares and lusts of life choke it off and make it unfruitful, they attention is focused on the world and its enticements and trials without any attention to My solutions or counsel. The good soil is the heart that values My Word and gives it high esteem, so much so that they won’t let go of it but cultivate it all the way to harvest. And the more attention and diligence you give to keeping My Word the greater the harvest.

Moses understood that My Words were not idle words but your very life. And He so valued My Word that it made him radiant. And he told his people how to give attention to My Words that could cause them to live days of Heaven on earth and prosper in all they put their hands too. But most of them did not pay attention to My Words but more to those of their colleagues and friends, and, of course, their own, which did not match with Mine.

But here is the way to pay attention if you are really serious about this. And you should be because it is a matter of life and death, which is in the power of your tongue. So pay attention to what Moses told the Israelites:

“Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Then it shall come about when the LORD your God brings you into the land which He swore to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to give you, great and splendid cities which you did not build, and houses full of all good things which you did not fill, and hewn cisterns which you did not dig, vineyards and olive trees which you did not plant, and you eat and are satisfied, then watch yourself, that you do not forget the LORD who brought you from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.” Deuteronomy 6:4-12.

I give a similar instruction later: “You shall therefore put these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your sons may be multiplied on the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give them, as long as the heavens remain above the earth. For if you are careful to keep all this commandment which I am commanding you to do, to love the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways and hold fast to Him, then the Lord will drive out all these nations from before you, and you will dispossess nations greater and mightier than you. Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall be yours; your border will be from the wilderness to Lebanon, and from the river, the river Euphrates, as far as the western sea. No man will be able to stand before you; the Lord your God will lay the dread of you and the fear of you on all the land on which you set foot, as He has spoken to you.” Deuteronomy 11:18-25.

I tell you to give My Words full attention so they do not depart from your heart and mind. I ask you to write them down and put them up before your eyes where you see them, like reminder notes. I ask you to speak them and teach them to your children and to yourself, I instruct you to talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.

If you love Me, you will keep My Words. You will meditate on them night and day and leave no place for the words of the devil. And you will teach them and speak them.

Do you remember why I chose Abraham? “For I have chosen him, so that he may command his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing righteousness and justice, so that the LORD may bring upon Abraham what He has spoken about him.” Genesis 18:19.

I knew him and he knew Me, he instructed his children and his household in My Words. Be attentive to My Words. Teach them diligently to your children, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.

Do you read My Word with and to your children? Your spouse? Your siblings? Your household? I ask you to invest in the members of your household in this way. Not just praying, going to church together, or acting reverently, all these are good and should be part of your family life, but I want you to get out the Bible and read to them from a part of the Bible and then have them read to you from a part of the Bible. Set a time in the morning and evening when you read the Word with your household. Or even if your children no longer life with you, when you talk with them on the phone share reading some Scriptures. It does not have to be long. In your home, you could read a passage or chapter from a Gospel and then have your child, spouse, or sibling read a chapter to you of the Old Testament, such as from the book of Ruth or another story, or from the letters of My apostle Paul. Then end with a short healing Scripture or prayer incorporating My Words that you read. Do this every day and you will see your children, your spouse, your household change. A peace and sweet oneness will come. My Word brings it. My Words are life to those who find them and  health to all their flesh. Do not keep them to yourself. Sow them into the hearts of your children, spouse, siblings—your entire household.

The jailer in Philippi, once he heard the Word, did not keep it to himself. He took Paul up to his house and shared it with all his household. Acts 16:31-34.

My Son gave His eternal life for you in the flesh. He gave all He had or was in the flesh for you. He gave His flesh for the life of the world. He loved you and gave Himself for you. He serves you. He paid all your debt to divine justice in full and made you one to be welcomed at My throne. He gave you His inheritance as a joint heir with Him. And that is everything. He made you My child and saved you from wrath, from destruction, and from eternal death. In Him, you have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, by His blood. The least you can give Him is obedience and then you have done no more than your duty.

You can only obey My Words if you love Me and you can only love Me as I want to be loved if you know Me for who I AM. And you can only know Me if you know My Word. You must have experienced My goodness and know My Name and the Name of My Son. And His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, God Hero, Father forever, and Prince of Peace. It is only when you know Him this way that you will love Me with an everlasting love. Let Me overwhelm you with goodness.

I love you. Be attentive to My Words and they will attend to you. My Words are Spirit and Life, they are the Words of everlasting life. And I am seeking your attention.
