Do you not know that you are the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16.
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. John 7:37-39.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. John 14:16-17.
Today the LORD God says:
Are you aware that you are a Temple of the Holy Spirit? That is, if you have received Jesus as your Lord. Or do you not know that you are sanctified and holy; that you are My dwelling, My Temple?
Do not think of the Church building as the holy place to which you must go to find Me. Do not think that once you leave it you are no longer in a holy place. Do not change your standard of behavior from holy to unholy because you leave the church. You are My temple now. I do not live in the sanctuary made by human hands but in you, who are formed by My hands and created anew in Christ Jesus.
You are a Temple of the Living God.
Do you understand what that means in your life all day and all night?
It means you are sanctified, set apart and holy. You are not common but extraordinary. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
You are a sacred place, filled with glory. Do not hide your glory under a bushel basket but let your light shine before men.
Think about it. Do you really know that My Spirit is dwelling in your spirit if you are a born again believer?
If you really know this you understand the greatness of what has been entrusted to you. And it makes your life amazing.
It means that you are a blessing wherever you go. When you enter a place of business, a theatre, a school, a hospital, a park, or any other place you are a blessing there for with you has come the glory. For you bring Me, and where I am there is healing, provision, prosperity, and every good and perfect gift. And over all these there is love and there is light.
You should light up every place you go. You are a light to the world. Shine on the world like bright stars for you are offering it the Word of Life.
You are a temple of the Holy Spirit and where My Spirit is there is freedom. Remember I anointed My Son with the Holy Spirit to set the captives free.
Your life should not be dry and barren any longer. You have the fountain of living water within you. If you but knew the gift of God, you would ask Him for a drink and He will give you living water that will become a well within you, springing up to eternal life.
My Son told you that if anyone is thirsty they should come to Him and drink. With joy you will draw water at the springs of Salvation (Yeshua). And not only will you drink, but from within anyone who believes in Him, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow. And I tell you that by this I meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in Jesus were later to receive once He was glorified at My right hand. John 7:37-39. If you recall it was when He returned to Me in glory, having finished the work of reconciling the world to Me, that He received the promised Holy Spirit from Me and poured Him out on believers. Acts 2:33.
And He likens that gift that He pours into your heart from My Throne to rivers of living water flowing from you. In My Kingdom the pure river of the water of life, clear as crystal, proceeds from My and Jesus’ throne. Revelation 22:1. And on either side of the river, is the tree of life, which bears twelve fruits, each yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. Revelation 22:2.
Do you remember the vision I gave My prophet Ezekiel of the Temple? I sent My angel who brought him to the door of the temple; and there was water flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east. And then I brought him out by way of the north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer gateway that faces east; and there was water, running out on the right side. And the more he waded in it, the deeper it flowed until it was a deep river that he could not cross. The water was so deep that he had to swim to cross it.
You see, if you are not aware of My Spirit in you, it is like you have shut the door to His input into your life. But as soon as you begin to open that door of your heart to Him the river of life begins to flow out of your spirit. At first you are only wading, but the more you remain in My Word and consult My Spirit within you, the river of life begins to flow so greatly that it will become a deep river that will carry you like eagles’ wings to your divine destination. Your life will start to flow in My rest but you will accomplish more and bring life everywhere you
But there is more. Ezekiel’s vision did not stop there. I then took him along the river flowing from My temple and he saw that the water flowed toward the eastern region, going down into the valley, and entering the sea. And when it reached the sea, its waters were healed, that is, they became fresh and were good to drink and give life. And I showed Ezekiel that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, and everything will live wherever the river goes.
And along the bank of the river, Ezekiel saw many trees used for food; and their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fail. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the sanctuary. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine. Ezekiel 47.
When you begin to know that you are a temple of the Holy Spirit and that you have direct access to My Throne in Heaven and that I am continually pouring My love into your heart through the Holy Spirit I have given you, then your life will start to flow in My rest but you will accomplish more than you ever have before and bring life everywhere you. You will be a life-giver.
And My Son told you that not just a “river” would flow out of believers but “rivers” of living water would flow out of you. Rivers of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. And rivers of healing, rivers of prosperity and rivers of delight. For of My delightful stream I give you to drink. Psalm 36:8.
I have given you a new and living way to come to Me. Yes, when you come you will truly live. For wherever I am there is every good gift and every blessing. And I am with you always. I never leave you or forsake you. I cannot. You are My Temple, My dwelling place, and I can hide you from all that would harm you. I can give you rest and peace.
This life is very short. Eternity is very long. Why don’t you spend the day with Me singing a happy song? You can you know. Turn your little temple into a tabernacle of praise. Address one another in psalms, hymns and inspired songs, making melody to Me in your heart. For what is a temple without praise and worship going on?
And I have told you that where two or three gather in the Name of Jesus, He is there in your midst. With the tiniest of pluralities—two—that makes a church. For the church is where the Lamb is.
I love you. Remember that My Spirit dwells in you. You are not alone. And you are holy and blameless in My eyes.
And remember, wherever you go, I go. You have nothing to fear.
