“Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30.

Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my beloved among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.  Let him lead me to the banquet hall, and let his banner over me be love.  Strengthen me with raisins, refresh me with apples, for I am faint with love.  His left arm is under my head, and his right arm embraces me. Song of Songs 2:3-6.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Do you know what My favorite passage of Scripture is?  It is this:  “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.  For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”  Matthew 11:28-30.

I want to refresh and bless you.  I want you to cast all your care on Me because I care for you.  I do not want you weighted down with burdens.  I want you to have life, and have it more abundantly, until it overflows!  I want your eye never to grow dim and your vigor never to abate.  I want you to prosper and be in good health.  I want to bless you.  I delight in doing good to you.

I sent My Son to seek out and save what was lost.  I sent Him to give you abundant life.  I sent Him to give you eternal life.  I sent Him to bear all your sins, ills, and sorrows.  I sent Him to redeem you from the curse of the law.  I sent Him to serve you.

I made everything for you.  I even made the angels as ministering spirits sent to serve those who are inheriting salvation.  Hebrews 1:14.

And each day as I made the world and all that is in it by My Word I did not finish until it was good, until it was good, perfect and pleasing in My eyes.  And then when I made man, male and female, the first thing I did was bless them and give them all I had made as their domain.  And I planted a wondrous, abundant garden for them and put them there to be garden dwellers among the fragrance of flowers, the shade of trees, the gentle fall of dew, and the sunlight of My love.  And there, in the breezy time of the evening, I met with them to fellowship and give them revelation and impartation.

And I continue to try to turn your life into a peaceful place, a garden of delight, well watered with the dew of heaven and filled with every good thing.  David knew this.  He sang of Me as His shepherd that led him to verdant pastures and refreshing, restful waters, and refreshed and restored his soul there.  He knew Me as the one who supplied him with an abundant table and pursued him with goodness and love all the days of each life.  I fill your days with good things and surround you with love and compassion.  I renew your youth like the eagle’s.  Those who are planted in My house flourish like the palm tree and bear fruit even in old age.  They stay strong and sturdy—full of sap and very green.

Come to Me!  I draw you with human cords and with bonds of love.  Come you who have no money, come and eat!  Come you who are thirsty! Come and drink life giving water.

If you but knew My gift to you, you would ask Him for a drink and He would give you the refreshing water of the Spirit and wash you in the water of the Word.

When My people Israel came under the heavy yoke of slavery in Egypt I broke that yoke and the nation that had unjustly put it on them.

I am always looking to lift your heavy yoke, to lift your burdens, and set you free to be as little children who have not a care in the world.  They trust they will be taken care of by their parents. And I am the best of fathers and in My house there is no lack and never will be.

I sent My Son into your dark world where sin abounded and He made grace superabound for you.  A people who walked in darkens have seen a great light (the Light of the World who give life to every man)! Upon those who dwelt in the land of gloom, like has shone.  I come to give you abundant joy and great rejoicing, as you rejoice at the harvest, as men make merry dividing the spoils.  For the yoke that burdened you, the pole on your shoulder and the rod of your taskmaster, I have smashed!  For a Child is born to you, a Son is given you, and on His shoulder dominion rests.  And He is Wonderful Counselor, God-Hero, Father Forever, and Prince of Peace.  And He gave you His peace.  He shared His joy with you.  He died for you and took all the burden of your sins, your sickness, your sorrow, your pain and your shame.  You no longer need to carry those burdens and that heavy yoke.  He has smashed it as on the day of Midian.

And now I tell you to come to Him when you are weary and burdened and in Him I will renew your strength so you soar with eagle’s wings, so that you run and not grow weary, walk and not grow faint. Come without hindrance just as you are for it is up to Me to cleanse you and refresh you.  Encourage yourself in My Word for My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh.

And a yoke can be a wonderful thing if you take the yoke I offer to you in My Son.  A yoke that is between a pair of oxen enables them to pull together on a load so that the load is easy to move.  Yoked together they are joined and united as one in the work.  It is a bonding of two to do a job together that could not be done alone with nearly as much efficiency.

I want you to enter My rest.  I want to give you back the years the cankerworm stole from you.  I want to make your life worth living and filled with joy unspeakable and the hope of glory.  I want to fill you with My Spirit and tell you of the things to come.  I want to make you fruitful so that you might be fulfilled and happy.

So come to Jesus all you who are weary and find life burdensome and He will refresh you and bless you.  He died to redeem you from the curse and open to you the Blessing of Abraham and the promise of the Spirit by faith. And how do I refresh you in Him?  I tell you in My Song of Songs to you. Song of Songs 2:3-6.  I sit you in the shade under My outstretched arms and give you the best of the land.  I lead you into My banquet hall and My banner over you is love.  And I rest your weary anxiety-ridden head upon My left arm and embrace your weary body with my strong right arm.  I strengthen you with My sweet Word of who you are in Christ and give you His Body and Blood to eat and drink.

And I sing over you as one sings at festivals.  And, if you let yourself relax and breathe the sweet fragrance of My love, you too will sing as you did in your youth.  But you must come and cast all your cares on Me.

Come and learn from My Son, not from the world, for the world will put a heavy yoke on you.  My Son is gentle and humble of heart and with Him you will find acceptance and love, and there you can rest, for His yoke is easy and His burden light because He takes your sins, sickness, lack, and ills and gives you His righteousness, His peace, His wealth, His health, and His joy.  There are no burdens in those things, only blessing.

I remove the curse and that sin that so easily ensnares and encumbrances you and give you the Blessing, the abundance of grace, and the gift of righteousness.  Whom My Son sets free is free indeed.

I love you.  Come and let Me take your burden and give you My blessing.  My Son and I are One.  In Him you receive all the fullness of the Godhead, grace upon grace.
