And for me, to be near God is my good; I have made the Lord LORD my refuge, so that I may tell of all Your works. Psalm 73:28.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
The psalmist sang that to be near Me was his good. Why is it good for you to be near Me?
Every good thing given and every perfect gift comes from within Me. James 1:17. In Jesus are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Jesus told you, “No one is good but God alone.” And the father in the parable of the prodigal son told a truth to the elder son that is the same for you who abide in Me, “You are with Me always, and all I have is yours.” Near Me, all I have is yours and that is everything good, pleasing and perfect. And such is My Will for you. I am the One who teaches you to profit and shows you the way you should go. I instruct you in the way you should go. I guide you by My eye, and to see My eyes you have to draw near to Me. My sheep hear My voice, but to hear My voice you have to draw near Me.
Draw near to Me and I draw near to you. And it is there, under My wings and in My everlasting arms, you taste My goodness and I can tell you great and mighty things you could not know. When you draw near you are like a branch attached to a vine and you bear much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing.
And you can get very near, very close, and the nearer and closer you are, the more good you will see, hear, and receive. All who drew close to Jesus and touched Him with faith had My healing power flow into them and the sickness, pain, disability, or anything else contrary to My Word had to go. Healing flowed, blessing flowed, and provision flowed to all who drew near. And now you can be in Christ, and He can be in you. All you have to do is draw close to Him and receive Him as your Lord.
In My presence is fullness of joy, the delights at My right hand forever. And My joy is your strength. And you have all this as yours just by drawing near, by approaching Me with faith. And I have opened that approach to you, a new and living way, purchased and paved by the blood of My Son. Draw close to Him and He is your way to draw near with confidence.
There is only one thing necessary for everything you need to be added to you, and that is to draw near to Me and to abide in Me.
So, what you should be pondering now is how do you stay near to Me all day and all night? How do you make your abode with Me? How do you stay attached to the vine and produce much fruit?
You find the answer, as to everything, in My Word.
My Son told you how you abide in Me and how I come to abide in you, and that is the nearest you can be.
Jesus explained, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep (téreó: to watch over, to guard, to keep) My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him.” John 14:23. I am My Word. Jesus is My Word. There is only one way you draw near to Me and remain in Me: by My Word.
Jesus explained how you attach and abide like a branch in a vine also, “I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.” John 15:5-7. You attach and remain by continuing, keeping, honoring, and doing My Word. The more filled with My Word you are, the closer and more full of My presence you are. And when you are filled with My Word you become a doer of My Word and you bear much fruit. And a doer is one that does the works of Jesus and greater. And He went about filled with My Spirit doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil. He came to undo the works of the devil, which are evil and not good. You overcome evil with good. So the more of My goodness you receive, the more you get evil out of your life and the lives of others.
The more of My Word you hear and know the more you will become an overcomer walking in the triumphal procession of Christ with the devil under your feet as you join in the final crushing of his authority over the earth and human lives. The more of My Word that you treasure in your heart, the more joy you will have. You will share My joy, for I am My Word, and your joy will be complete. You will know when illness tries to attack that you have a Healer and My Healing power is in you. You will know when you have a need that you have a Provider and good Shepherd. You know when you need protection you have a savior, redeemer, deliverer, refuge and fortress. You know when you need wisdom you can ask Me for it and receive it generously. And above all, you know that I am love and I will never harm you but will only help you.
Draw near to Me, hear this: from the beginning I have not spoken in secret, from the time it came to be I have been there. I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go. Oh that you had paid attention to my commandments! Then your peace would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea; your offspring would have been like the sand, and your descendants like its grains; their name would never be cut off or destroyed from before Me. Isaiah 48:16-19. Draw near to Me and let Me teach you for your own benefit how to manage your affairs. And it is My Word that is a light to your path and a lamp to your feet. My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. It is your rock foundation. It is your shelter in every storm.
My servant David had great responsibilities as king of My people Israel. How did he manage to handle such a great responsibility when he had no training? He drew close to Me. Like Joseph did to run the country of Egypt so many years before. I was with Joseph. David sang, “Make me know Your ways, LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day.” Psalm 25:4-5. And then he gives you insight on how to know My ways and receive My teaching, “Who is the person who fears the LORD? He will instruct him in the way he should choose. His soul will dwell in prosperity, and his seed will inherit the land. The secret of the LORD is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant. My eyes are continually toward the LORD, for He will rescue my feet from the net.” Psalm 25:12-15.
It all comes down to drawing close, hearing My Word, and communicating with Me by My Word.
If you continue in My Word, you are truly My disciples, and then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Free to be the person I made you to be. One who walks in fruitful integrity and has a continual feed from My throne. Live streaming with a continuous feed of communication, love, protection, direction, and correction.
The closer we are together, the better it is for both of us. I can have the joy of sharing all I am and have with you and you can do the same with Me. Taste and see My goodness. Happy is the man who dwells in Me. My dwelling place is lovely.
I love you. Come to Me. Life should not be a struggle but a snuggle. Let Me take you under My wings and lead you in the way you should go. It really is not difficult. Hearts on fire can build an empire.
