Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Romans 8:1-2.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. Romans 8:2. What is the “law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus”? I should think you would like to know since it sets you free from the law of sin and of death.
First, you see it is a law. A law is something that works the same for everyone. Laws of nature, such as the law of gravity, work the same for everyone. And there are serious consequences if you ignore such laws. Not because they don’t like you but because they are set up to work in certain ways. I made and sustain an orderly universe. But once you know how these laws work, you can make them work for you in wonderful ways, such as the laws of electrical conduction.
My Word is Spirit breathed. My Spirit shares My thoughts with you in My Words. And My Word is truth. And My Holy Spirit, Jesus calls “the Spirit of truth.” Receive My implanted Word, it has the power to save your souls. And My Word is referred to often as law. My Word works the same for everyone who will do it. And it works in wonderful ways for you if you learn how it works and do that. “But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does. If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless.” James 1:25-26.
It is the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. You see that you find it in Christ Jesus, the Messiah, the anointed One. So you must be in Christ and under His anointing to have it. And what do you have in Christ that explains this? Much, but let Jesus Himself tell you. “Now on the last day, the great day of the feast of Tabernacles, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’ But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.” John 7:37-39. Rivers of living water flowing from your innermost being. If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed, and where the Spirit of the LORD is there is liberty. Eternal life is in Jesus and the Spirit in you regenerates and raises you to that life.
Jesus baptizes you in the Holy Spirit and fire. You find all in Him.
So the Law of the Spirit of life is first and foremost in Jesus. So your first step to freedom from the law of sin and death is to confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart I raised Him from the dead. Why do you have to believe that to live? By His death, Jesus frees you from sin. “Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” Romans 6:8-11. Christ died for your sins but was raised by the Spirit of Life with your sins and all penalty due them gone. By His death and resurrection He set you free from the law of sin and death. For the wages of sin is death, but My free gift to you in Christ Jesus is eternal life. Romans 6:23. And eternal life is in Him by the resurrection, which is your justification. He was delivered over because of your transgressions, and was raised because of your justification. Romans 4:25.
Sin caused the death of Jesus, but the Spirit of life in Him raised Him up to new life as the first born again man freed from all the penalty of sin. He paid it all for you and then the Spirit of life raised Him. And that same power is raising you to the freedom of newness of life. That is what My servant Paul prayed for you to know: “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.” Ephesians 1:18-23.
And you find the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. If you but knew My gift you would ask Him for a drink and He will give you living water. The water of life. If you are thirsty for the life that is life indeed—the abundant life until it overflows—then you are to come to Him and drink. If you believe in Him, rivers of living water will flow from your innermost being, and this He spoke of the Spirit. John 7:37-39. And the Spirit came when Jesus was glorified. Glorify Jesus in your life and be filled with the Spirit until He so permeates your being that you have no room for or desire to sin. It is no longer in your nature when you are so filled with My Spirit that you become a partaker of My nature. So that you become filled to all My fullness. Then you are free indeed. I never sin and I have no inclination to do so, filled with My Spirit it will be the same for you.
My Word is the perfect law of liberty. If you abide in and do My Word it is a perfect law that will work for you for all My magnificent promises therein to come to pass. If you are willing and obey, it is then you have the good things of the land. If you continue, remain, and abide in My Words, then you become My disciple indeed, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. Where My Spirit is there is liberty.
Jesus came to set you free. “Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives.” Hebrews 2:14-15. Jesus loves you and released you from your sins by His blood— and He has made you to be a kingdom, priests unto Me, your God and Father. Revelation 1:5-6. He has put you into a royal line.
I anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and power to proclaim release to the captives and to set fee those who were oppressed of the devil. And that was all of you, but now your are light in Him who is the Light of the World. The water and the fire.
I love you. Let My Spirit so fill you that there is room for nothing else but all My fullness. You could go much deeper than you have. Why live in the outer court when you can spend all days with Me in the Holy of Holies? Be free and be the you I made you to be.
