Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10.
Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom. Luke 12:32.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
I tell you not to fear for I am with you. I tell you to be anxious for nothing but in everything to cast your care on Me and let Me take care of you. I tell you to make melody to Me in your heart. I tell you not to worry about your livelihood but to see My Kingdom and My righteousness and all will be added to you.
Now, may I ask you a question? Is it okay for you to worry, to be in fear and distress, and to be anxious about anything in your life? If you read My Word, you already have your answer. For a believer, this kind of behavior is totally unacceptable. It cost the Israelites that I redeemed out of Egypt their destiny. “Therefore I was angry with this generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they did not know My ways’; as I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest.’” Hebrews 3:10-11; Psalm 95:10-11. And what was it they did? Despite My promises to them by My Word, they worried, fretted, feared, were anxious, worried about their livelihood, grumbled, complained, were ungrateful, assumed the worst at all times, and had no peace about anything. If this describes your life it is time for you to be transformed by the renewal of your mind. “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may approve what the will of God is, that which is good and well-pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:2.
If you love Me, you obey My Words. And that is not a selective process of obeying some and not others. It is obeying in ALL areas of your life. And it is not okay with Me if you are stressed, anxious, grieving, and fearful since I have told you in very strong terms to deny yourself in those matters by knowing the truth of My care for you and trusting in that. These emotions try to take over your heart when you are in a storm of adversity and circumstances that are contrary to My Word, but you are not to give in to these. You are to cast your cares on Me and be at peace as I walk with you through it. “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Isaiah 43:1-3. You are precious in My sight, you are honored and I love you. Isaiah 43:4. Ten thousand may fall at your side but it will not come near you, that is, if you believe and say that. And, I will tell you a secret, you will feel much better, happier, and calmer if you will do that than if you speak fear and doom. Be like David when you fall into various trials (he had many but I delivered him out of them all), “Even though I walk through the dark valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” Psalm 23:4-6. He saw Me as his good Shepherd who always looked after all his needs and directed him in righteous paths for My Name’s sake. Is that where you have set your mind? Or are you seeking a different shepherd? If you worry, grumble and complain, and speak death rather than life in a situation, think about this “This is the way of those who are foolish, and of those after them who approve their words, as sheep they are appointed for hell; death shall be their shepherd.” Psalm 49:14. Death and life are in the power of your tongue and you shall eat the fruit of your lips. Proverbs 4:21. I have told you this many times in My Word. Pay attention least you bring about your own destruction.
And it is not okay if you have no peace. The wicked have no peace, but those who keep their minds set on Me have shalom, shalom—a double portion of peace. And you only keep your mind set on Me by thinking and speaking My Words in a difficult and seemingly impossible situation, or even just in the smaller irritations you encounter every day. Or just when you feel like having a “down” day. This is not acceptable to Me when you have professed that you believe in and love Me. Jesus gave you His peace, which is a tremendous gift, but it came with a mandate—do not let your heart be troubled, do not let it be afraid. John 14:27. You would be wise to obey this and take yourself in hand in these matters. And the good news is that you can with the help of My grace if you are willing to do so and will devote time to renewing your mind in My Word to think thoughts like I think and not conform to the thoughts and fears of the world system.
Be confident that I care for you and that even if you made a mess of things in your life, I can clean things up for you. “But you will not go out in haste, nor will you go as fugitives; for the LORD will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.” Isaiah 52:12. I AM, I was, and I am to come, Yahweh. I will make your present a Garden of Eden filled with the Blessing, I will clean up your past by the blood of Jesus, and I will go before you to make the way for you to live the life of good deeds I prepared for you in advance in Christ Jesus, your Lord. And all this because you obeyed My voice. “Indeed I will greatly bless you, and I will greatly multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your seed shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.” Genesis 22:17-18. How then do you overcome the many trials that come in this world as it is now? “By loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days.” Deuteronomy 30:20.
If today you hear My voice, harden not your hearts. Be careful to listen to Me lest you fall short of entering My rest. I want you in My rest with Me, but if you will not come, I cannot force you in. Jesus called out to Jerusalem, they heard His voice, but they rejected His Words, learn from their ensuing desolation and captivity, “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling. Behold, your house is being left to you desolate! For I say to you, from now on you will not see Me until you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Matthew 23:37-39.
I honor the words of your mouth. Jesus told you that you will have what you believe in your heart and speak with your mouth. You choose life or death. Choose life that you may live, now and forever. Jesus is the High Priest of your confession (homologia, that is, saying the same thing, agreeing with My Word), consider Him, but if you will not agree, He will not perform your words but there is another spirit who will. You know of whom I am speaking, the great dragon, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world because they will listen and speak his words above Mine. Revelation 12:9. But there is a way to overcome him that never fails: “And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony.” Revelation 12:11. Watch your words and what you are storing in your heart, REFUSE TO FEAR, to grumble and to complain. I have commanded you. I make no exceptions for you. “Therefore let us be diligent to enter that rest, so that no one will fall, through following the same example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:11-12.
But you can only do this by renewing your mind in My Word. You must know and believe in who I am, what I have done for you in Christ Jesus, and why things are as they are in the world. And I tell you all this in the Bible. Learn My Covenant Names that I have given you and call on them. The LORD your healer, the LORD your provider, the LORD your righteousness, the LORD your Shepherd, the LORD your victory, the LORD your deliverer, the LORD your peace, the LORD your protector, and many more—all filled with love, provision, protection, direction, refuge, strength, beauty, and victory. And I am Love and Light. And I share all I am with you in Christ Jesus. Shalom.
