“I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. With Your counsel You will guide me, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Jeremiah prayed to Me, “Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for You are my praise.” Jeremiah 17:14. Do you see? I am your healer and I am your savior. I forgive all your sins and I heal all your diseases. Psalm 103:3. Jesus asked, “Which is easier to say, “Your sins are forgiven,” or “Be healed, pick up your mat and walk”?” Showing they are one in the same and that they are both easy for you to have. Why? In His body, Jesus bore your sickness and pains and He bore all your sins and iniquities as your sacrificial substitute. The work is done, all you have to do is receive by faith. And that is the third part of the prayer, “You are my praise.” Praise is from faith. You believe you receive when you pray according to My promises and you give thanks by praise for the granting of your healing and salvation. I am there for you and I do not change. I am always your savior and your healer. It is always there for you to receive just when you need it.
Your times are in My hands. Jesus commended His Spirit into My hands as He died upon the cross. And I took care of it and raised Him up from hell and the grave and gave Him a glorified body, the firstborn of many brethren. Put your life in My hands for there is no snatching out of My hands and when you are in My hands, the evil one cannot touch you. “His radiance is like the sunlight; He has rays flashing from His hand, and there is the hiding of His power.” Habakkuk 3:4.
I am the Ancient of Days. I am the great I AM. And I am here with you now and you are in My hands. Your flesh is of clay and I am the potter, you are the work of My hands. Let me form you and make you into the you that I made you to be. A vessel of honor. My Son gave His body to you, do you remember? The night He was betrayed, He took bread, blessed it and He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” 1 Corinthians 11:23-24. “Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, well-pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” Romans 12:1. He gave His body for you and when you give your body to Him, He makes you a member of His body, the church. A new and living sacrifice that opens the way beyond the veil to the very holy of holies, My throne of grace, generating for all eternity the power of the great I AM, I WAS, and I ALWAYS WILL BE. From age to age I am your refuge.
You who dwell in My secret place, who abide in the shadow of My hand, say to Me, “My refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2. Put your life in My hands and everything will be all right. All will be right with you and in you. I am with you. I am your portion. The psalmist sang of this, “I am continually with You; You have taken hold of my right hand. With Your counsel You will guide me, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? And besides You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:26. I am your portion and your inheritance. Psalm 16:5, Numbers 18:20. I am your shield and your great reward. Genesis 15:1.
People of the world who focus only on the things of this world and what they see and feel, their portion is this life. Psalm 17:14. But for you who know My Name, I am your portion.
Refuge and portion go together. When you take Jesus as Lord, I become your portion and your inheritance. As David sang, “My inheritance is beautiful to me.” Psalm 16:5. I become your Father and you My child. You become My heir and a joint heir with Christ. He becomes your brother and you are part of a family, a holy family, a royal priesthood, a people called by My Name. And just as under the Old Covenant, I was the portion and inheritance of the priests and Levites, so I am today to you whom Jesus has made priests and kings by His blood. I took care of the priests and Levites and they took care of My business. They represented the people before Me and represented Me before the people. They taught My Word to the people, offered sacrifice and interceded for the people, sang praise songs and psalms with musical instruments before Me continuously, and took care of the holy things and the Temple. They took care of My house and I took care of theirs.
When you make Me your portion you can expect refuge, security, healing, fullness of joy, being safe in My hand, provision, and a beautiful inheritance with the saints in light. And since you are a joint heir with Jesus who is the firstborn, you receive the double portion.
“But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.” Galatians 4:4-7. I do not call you slaves; I call you sons. And in Christ Jesus so you are. And a son has a place in the house forever.
You are Mine and I am yours. David sang of Me as his portion, “Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You. I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good besides You.” As for the saints who are in the earth, they are the majestic ones in whom is all my delight. The sorrows of those who have bartered for another god will be multiplied; I shall not pour out their drink offerings of blood, nor will I take their names upon my lips. The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me. I will bless the Lord who has counseled me; indeed, my mind instructs me in the night. I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will dwell securely. For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol; nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay. You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever.” Psalm 16:1-11.
What does it mean that I am your portion? It means My all is yours. It means you are with Me always and all I have is yours. It means that you look no where else for compensation. I am your great reward. “For My people have committed two evils: they have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, To hew for themselves cisterns, Broken cisterns That can hold no water.” Jeremiah 2:13.
I love you. Remember Me. I am your portion.
