“I know that you are Abraham’s descendants; yet you seek to kill Me, because My Word has no place in you.” John 8:37.

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Do you really agree with Me? If you are still crying over past sins and continually feeling not worthy and condemned, you are not agreeing with Me. If you are still bringing up things or just dwelling on them in your mind that were done to you that hurt you by others in the past you are not agreeing with Me. If you are depressed and hopeless, you are not agreeing with Me. If you are anxious and worried, you are not agreeing with Me. If you get angry and upset and stay that way during the day, you are not agreeing with Me. If you hate certain people, you are not agreeing with Me. If you are unforgiving you are not agreeing with Me. And I could go on. If there is anything in My Word that you are acting in contradiction to, you are not in agreement with Me.

And how can two walk together in partnership unless they agree? If they are not in agreement there will be division and discord.

Jesus told the Pharisees they were trying to kill Him because they did not agree with His Words. “I know that you are Abraham’s descendants; yet you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you.” John 8:37. Jesus was in such total agreement with Me that He only spoke My Words. “I speak the things which I have seen with My Father; therefore you also do the things which you heard from your father.” John 8:38. You agree with the one you have taken as your father, that is, the authority under which you reside. When you do not agree with Me, there is only one other choice of who you are agreeing with. Yes, the devil. The father of lies. And you should not be agreeing with Me and also agreeing with the devil. You cannot serve two masters. You have to make a choice as to whether you will speak words that give life in agreement with Me or words that bring death in agreement with the devil.

And what you are in agreement with is what will happen in your life. You can be delivered or ensnared by the words of your mouth. And today is the final life lesson for now in our series “Watch Your Words! And it is Life Lesson No. 9: Total Agreement Brings the BLESSING.

Do you remember Elisha and the twenty-four hour miracle? Let Me remind you and give you a new perspective. Ben-hadad king of Aram gathered all his army and went up and besieged Samaria until a great famine was in Samaria. The famine was great and it looked as if all was lost unless they surrendered. The king of Israel was angry with Elisha because Elisha had not permitted the king to kill the army of Aram when the king of Aram sent them to kill Elisha, but sent them back to their land. And now they were back again causing great havoc to the nation. 2 Kings 6:8-33. But when the king went down to take Elisha’s life, Elisha said, “Listen to the word of the LORD; thus says the LORD, ‘Tomorrow about this time a measure of fine flour will be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.’” In other words, there would be plenty by the next day. The royal officer on whose hand the king was leaning did not agree with this, he questioned it as impossible. He scoffed that even if I opened the windows of heaven, he doubted it could be. And Elijah simply replied, “Behold, you will see it with your own eyes, but you will not eat of it.” 2 Kings 7:1-2. And it happened just as Elisha prophesied. That very night, I caused the army of the Arameans to hear a sound of chariots and a sound of horses, even the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, “Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.” Therefore they arose and fled in the twilight and left their tents and their horses and their donkeys, even the camp just as it was, and fled for their lives. 2 Kings 7:6-7. And they left behind a great abundance of supplies—food, silver, gold, clothes, and other valuables. So the people of Samaria went out and plundered the camp of the Arameans. Then a measure of fine flour was sold for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel, just as I had told Elisha. The king of Samaria appointed the royal officer on whose hand he leaned to have charge of the gate; but the people trampled on him at the gate, and he died. He saw it but he did not partake of it. 2 Kings 7:16-29. What you speak against you will not partake. Death and life are in the power of your tongue.

I call you all by name, but you must come. When you draw close to Me, I draw close to you. When you seek Me with all your heart, you will find Me right there with you. But if you do not come to Me, I cannot walk with you in the manner I desire to. I walked in the Garden in total fellowship and partnership with the first man and woman, but there came a day when they were no longer in agreement with My Words and when I came to them, they hid from Me. “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God.” John 3:19-21. “This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:5-7.

Take care what spirit you are listening to, for to whatever you are giving your attention, that will become your words if you listen enough. When Jesus told of His soon coming death, Peter spoke vehemently against it. My Son rebuked anything contrary to My Words to Him, but you will notice He did NOT rebuke Peter, He rebuked the spirit to whom Peter was listening. “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but man’s.” Matthew 16:23. He did not get mixed up, He was not calling Peter “Satan,” He was talking directly to Satan. And that too is what you must do. Do not get angry at and say insulting things to people who do not agree with you, see the spirit they are listening to, that evil spirit is your provoker, the person is trapped to do his will but you can release them. Discern where it is coming from.

Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. When you just shoot off your mouth in anger at someone, and I said “shoot” on purpose, for your words are like arrows and once they embed in the person you shot them at they are hard to pull out, no matter how much you apologize. And, even worse, if you feel self-righteous about giving them a “piece of your mind” and don’t pull it out, it will lodge in them and fester for years, perhaps ruining their life. This can happen to children who are shamed or demeaned by their parents.

Jeremiah was denounced, resisted, and attempts were made to kill him, and it finally made him feel like he had an incurable wound in his heart that made him want to quit the assignment I had given him to be My prophet to My people. But I heal the broken hearted and I told him how to be healed. “If you repent (change what you are thinking on), I will restore you that you may serve Me; if you utter precious, not worthless, vile, words, you will be My mouth. Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them. I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to save you and deliver you,” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 15:19-20. He had to change his mind from resenting the people to seeing the spirit behind them and removing the vile from his mind, holding only on to the precious. Like My servant Paul who met with so much opposition and injustice from the ones who had once been his good friends and colleagues, he had to see beyond their abuse to the spirit that had blinded their minds to the glorious Gospel he preached and to keep on doing all he could to bring them the light of the truth as My Son had told him to do.

So how did he keep from getting bitter and discouraged? He tells you, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:4-7. And then he sets forth the way to keeping yourself in peace and purpose, “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:8-9. And today he is in the cloud of witnesses cheering you on to fight the good fight of faith. He separated the precious from the vile and was thus qualified to be My mouth to his generation and all the generations to come by his anointed letters.

No matter what has been said to you or you have said, those wounds can be cleansed and cured by My Word. My Words cleanse you and the blood of My Son washes away all stain of sin. Walking in the light of the truth, which is the light of life, the blood of Jesus continually cleanses you. I told Abraham to walk before Me and be blameless. Before Me My face shines upon you and lights up your life to make you blameless.

We have been through nine life lessons on watching your words. Go back and read them again and again. But to sum it all up in three words it is simple: AGREE WITH ME. Say what I say and do what I do and refuse to call in any other result and you will have a long happy life of many good days filled with good deeds prepared in advance and the sweet joys of fellowship with Me and likeminded believers.

For you at this time: the past it is history, the future a mystery, but you know who it is has hold of your hand! I will lead you from darkest alleys into the pleasant valleys filled with the fragrance and the sunshine of My love. I know what I am doing, and if you will walk with Me and listen, so will you.

I love you. Let us walk together until the day you walk home with Me forever.
