This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Joshua 1:8.
But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does. James 1:25.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:
Above all, it is My desire that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers. 3 John 1:2. And how does your soul prosper? When you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear of My children walking in the truth. 1 John 3:4. And what is the truth? My Word is truth. John 17:17. Take My Words to heart, for My Words are not idle words, they are your very life. Deuteronomy 32:46-47. My Words will prolong your days and fill them with prosperity and peace. My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. And My Word will prosper you. Psalm 1:1-3. But it depends on the diligence with which you pursue My Word.
Today I continue giving you instructions on how to prosper and increase with Life Lesson No. 3: “Walking in the Truth.” You could also call it “Hearing and Doing the Word.” In Hebrew there is one word for this: “Shama” (שָׁמַע) and it means both to hear and to obey. In other words, it means you hear My Word, take it into your heart, and do what it says. And I tell you that you are blessed if you do that. Why? When you walk in My Word, you are walking with Me, for I am My Word. John 1:1. And when you are with Me, all things are possible and lack multiplies into abundance. My Son explained this, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.” John 1:23.
I told My people in the desert as I led them to the land of abundance I had promised Abraham’s descendants, if they set themselves to diligently hear and obey (I used a double “shama,” shama shama, faith comes by hearing and hearing My Word) My voice, being careful to do all My commandments I would set them high above all the nations of the earth. And the blessings of abundant prosperity, health, protection, and deliverance would come upon them and overtake them if they would shama Me. Deuteronomy 28:1-2. And then I went on to describe for them the wonderful blessings that would fill their lives to overflowing if they just walked with Me as hearers and doers of My Word. Deuteronomy 28:1-14, And My Word is not burdensome, it is filled with promises of mercy, healing, prosperity, comfort, protection, and deliverance. Filled with covenant benefits and victory. Making you the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, the lender and not the borrower. Deuteronomy 28:13.
From the beginning I have given you this way to abundance and prosperity, and it is really very simple: Hear and do My Words. It means you are willing to receive instruction and direction from Me and to follow it as desirable for your good, which is much simpler for you now than it was in the beginning for you have My Words written down by the inspiration of My Spirit and you who are in Christ have My Spirit dwelling in you to guide you to all truth and remind you of all I have said (which implies you are reading it and hearing it so that He can bring it to your remembrance right when needed). The first man and woman had very simple instructions: to be fruitful and increase by My blessing upon them and the abundance I had given them freely, take dominion over the earth and replenish it, cultivate and guard the Garden, eat from any of the trees except one, and do not eat from that one or you will die the death (the second death). These were not restrictions, they were life-giving instructions, but they chose to violate them and you are still suffering the effects of going against what is for your good, for your shalom and not evil, for your prosperity and increase, to give you a beautiful life and future filled with hope. Hope that does not disappoint. But they walked in a lie instead of in the truth that would have set them free and were trapped by the father of lies, who was a murderer from the beginning, into the slavery of sin and death. He came to steal My Word by making them doubt it by substituting an attractive lie that appealed to them so that he could kill and destroy their lives of beauty and prosperity. He comes to undo all I have done, but Jesus came to undo all that the devil has done. And who is Jesus? My Word. And so am I. The most intelligent decision you can make for your own good, prosperity, and success is to hear and do My Word, to abide in My Word, and to let My Word direct your steps. If you are willing and obey you will eat the best of the land. You will prosper.
There is something you must settle in your heart to walk in prosperity and health, if you obey and use My Word it will go to work for you. My Word is living and working, sharper than a two-edged sword, more effective than a concentrated laser beam flashing at the pico second mark, it is your LIFE. Many of your words that you say each day are idle—non-working, non-operative, and fall to the ground useless—but I revealed Myself to Samuel from a young age by My Word, and he grew in My Word, and I tell you that I was with him and let NONE of his words fall to the ground. 1 Samuel 3:19-21. Look at Samuel’s life and you will find that he did not speak idle words, he walked with Me and revealed what I told him to reveal to individuals and the nation. And his life was powerful. And yours should be even more so for My Spirit is in you and not just on you as it was with Samuel and you have a whole book of My Words.
When Joshua needed to have success and to prosper in all he did in taking the conquest of the land I had promised to give Abraham’s descendants, I gave him the same instructions I give you. I told him to not let My Words depart from his mouth, to meditate on the Book of the law day and night, so that he would be careful to do according to all that is written in My Word; for then he would make his way prosperous, and then he would have success. Joshua 1:8. Do you see? He would be putting My imperishable Word to work for him so that he made his way prosperous and successful. It was up to him to use it diligently and exclusively to have the life he was born to live. And he fought the good fight of faith and saw all My good promises work out in his life.
My Word is your friend, not your enemy that you should rebel against it and go another way. My Word tells you what I am about. Jesus called you friends because He revealed My Word to you so that you would know Me and the purpose for your life and walk it out with Me by putting My Word to work. To partner with Me you must speak My Word into the earth to bring in the Kingdom of Heaven. I told Moses that I would be with his mouth and teach him what he was to do. Exodus 4:14-15. And My Covenant is My Spirit upon you and My Words which I have put in YOUR mouth. Isaiah 59:21. I will teach you what to speak and where to go. And whatever Word I speak will be performed. Ezekiel 12:28.
Now, I want you to consider this: For what reason do you want to prosper and increase? And this is the dividing line. My Son told you a parable about a man who prospered greatly, beyond what he had before. And what did he intend to do with the prosperity I had given him? He attributed it to his own labors, had no thought for Me, and decided to tear down his barns and build larger ones and there store his grain and goods. And then he said to himself, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.” Luke 12:19. All for himself to feed his flesh. But My response to him was “You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?” So is the man who stores up treasure for himself and is not rich toward Me. Luke 12:20. Beware and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions. Luke 12:15.
I told Abraham I was blessing him to be a blessing. This is key here. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:34. If you sow into the Kingdom sparingly, you will also reap sparingly, and if you sow bountifully, you will also reap bountifully. And this also has to do with planting My Word in your heart and cultivating it without drawing back from speaking in faith in agreement with My Word and doing it, this, as My Son told you in His first parable will produce a harvest of thirty, sixty or a hundredfold. It has to do with hearing and doing My Word. Isaac, Abraham’s son, in his own reasoning wanted to go down to Egypt in a famine, but I told him to stay where he was and plant seed. He obeyed and the seed yielded a hundred fold return in the same year even though other’s seed was not producing due to the drought. Why? He was in covenant with Me and listened to and obeyed My Word. And I gave him underground wells. You too have a well of living water in you to tap into by faith, and faith speaks. In the wilderness once when My people had no water, I told them to sing to bring up water from a well. And so they did. Learn David’s secret of praise and thanksgiving in song to take down the enemy and prosper. Jehoshaphat did and they collected the spoils of their vanquished enemies for three days.
Each one of you must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for I love a cheerful giver. Why? It shows your trust is in Me to supply all you need according to My riches in glory when you are generous towards Me. Honor Me from your wealth and from the first of all your produce; so your barns will be filled with plenty and your vats will overflow with new wine. Proverbs 3:9-10. And when you give into the household of faith, I am able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. 2 Corinthians 9:8. And that is the true definition of prosperity. All sufficiency for you and an overflow for every good deed.
And I am the one that supplies seed to the sower and bread for food and I will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through you produces thanksgiving to Me, which multiplies what you have given and what was received. 2 Corinthians 9:10-11. It is all about sowing and reaping, giving and receiving, but it all starts from the seed of My Word planted in and cultivated in your heart.
Speak only My Words and you will grow thereby. But watch your mouth to stop angry malicious words, these are idle and selfish. Therefore, putting aside all filthiness and all that remains of wickedness, in humility receive the Word implanted, which is able to save your souls. But prove yourselves doers of the Word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the Word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was. But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does. If anyone thinks himself to be religious, and yet does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this man’s religion is worthless. James 1:21-26.
My Word refines you, sanctifies and purifies you. Jacob’s son Joseph was determined to keep himself according to My Word and from the time he was betrayed by his brothers, through his slavery, and imprisonment, you will find he never deviated from being a pure man without bitterness and a cheerful giver. It is very clear from his conversation and his purity during those years. But he never let go of the dream I showed him in his youth until the time that his word came to pass. But till then My Word refined him, like a goldsmith refines gold. And when he was solid gold, Pharaoh sent and released him, and set him free. But more than that, Pharaoh made him lord of his house and ruler over all his possessions. Psalm 105:19-21. He was ready to handle kingdom prosperity. And he used it for feeding a famine-stricken world. He was prosperous toward Me, but it started in his heart long before he had material wealth. To Me, he was a prosperous man. And that is what I call him from the beginning while he was still a slave in Potiphar’s house. And I describe him that way both as a slave and as a prisoner. Genesis 39:2;23. Why? Because the I was with him; and whatever he did, I made to prosper.
If you are walking in the truth of My Word you will have joy. Why? Because you will not be looking so hard at yourself and your limitations or feelings or what YOU have to do. Instead, by abiding in My Word, you will look intently into the Law of Liberty and think about what I am going to do! And what do I do? Forgive all your sins, heal all your diseases, pull you out of the pit, surround you with love and compassion, fill your days with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions. Use it.
If you want Kingdom results you have to use Kingdom Words.
I love you and that is why I put My Words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of My hand to plant Heaven and establish it in the earth. My Word works. Grow rich towards Me.
