And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:11-12.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God says:

Patience. You inherit My promises through faith and patience. What is patience? It has an element of being slow to anger and being calm in adversities and storms, but those are evidence of the underlying patience in which you are standing.

Patience is a relentless determination to enforce the promises in My Word no matter how long it takes and no matter what obstacles get in your way.

Today we continue our life lessons on living a fruitful life with Life Lesson No. 5: Patience. By your patient endurance you will gain your souls. Luke 21:19.

Patience is in the list of the fruit of the Spirit, so you know it is My nature and character to be patient. I am patient for it is not My desire that anyone perish but that all come to repentance and be saved. I am slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness and truth. I am faithful to you and I am patient with you. Patience results in kindness, being calm and without anger or malice. Patience focuses you on the goal and keeps you on course. I have never given up on mankind no matter how much you refuse My invitations to come to Me and walk with Me in love. I do not give up on you and I have sworn, since the death of Jesus who took all your sins on Himself and bore the divine wrath for them, never to be angry with you again. Isaiah 54:9.

It is easy to be patient when everything is going your way. It is not when you run up against difficult and rebellious people, persecution, and a result is not happening as quickly as you would like, such as healing, finances, growth of your ministry, projects or dreams.

Patience is not passive. It is aggressive. You can hasten what you are looking for by faith and patience. 2 Peter 3:11-13. Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done My will, you may receive what was promised. For yet in a very little while, Jesus who is coming will come, and will not delay. But My righteous one shall live by faith; and if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him. Do not be of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. Hebrews 10:35-39. It takes patience to have victory. Patience won’t quit.

Jesus told you that when the Holy Spirit comes upon you that you are clothed in power from on high. To be patient takes strength for in it is the power to stand against the enemy. And with My Spirit in and on you it is not by human power or strength, but by My Spirit, the greater one in you. So be strong in Me and in the strength of My might, draw up strength like the branch from the vine. That is why I tell you that if you are weak you must say “I am strong.” And also to gain strength in adversity is to repeat the first line of Psalm 18, “I love you, O LORD, my strength.” And put your roots in that and draw up My strength into your soul. And you can use other such Scriptures. My Words give you life and health. Put them to work

And be sure to understand My armor that I give you and put it on in the spirit so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For your struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. And if you give in to them they will take you down. Therefore, take up My full armor that I give you so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to STAND firm. Patience is standing firm in the face of the schemes of the devil. So how do you stand firm? Use My Word not just when you are attacked but be girded in it and ready at all times. When Nehemiah was supervising the rebuilding of the ruined walls and gates of Jerusalem; because they were not sure when the enemies would sneak in and attack, they kept their working clothes on day and night, and worked with one hand while they carried a sword in the other, and they carried a sword even when they went to drink water, and they set up a guard day and night. Nehemiah 4:9;17-23.

So to be ready to stand firm at all times, you must keep girding your loins with truth (My Word is truth so be reading, meditating on, speaking, hearing and doing My Word every day), and continually put on the breastplate of righteousness (know who you are and what you have in Christ so you can be established in righteousness and far from oppression and fear), and make sure you are wearing shoes of peace, that is, not of anger and dissension but of the gospel of peace, which you should be sharing everywhere your feet tread; and above all, taking up the shield of faith at every moment (never let that down) with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. You can only counter he devil’s lying words with My Words, as Jesus showed you when the devil came after Him in the wilderness to tempt Him to doubt His true identity. And you should keep your mind covered at all times with the helmet of salvation, for there are doctrines of demons all about you that would try to convince you there are many paths to salvation, but there is only ONE Way, and carry (keep in your heart and mouth) the sword of the Spirit, which is My Word, at all times. My Word should be your only vocabulary from which you draw your words. Jesus told you that He only spoke My Words and His life was strong and filled with good works. He set people free. So should you. To do the works He did and greater you must stay in the armor I have given you as He did.

And with all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the believers. Your prayers will protect the weak ones. Never let down your guard for you know not the day or the hour that your visitation will come and you want to be ready! Fully dressed and ready for every good word and work. Fruitful. You will have many good days if you stand in the evil day.

Faith and patience will always prevail. Never quit. Never give up. And NEVER give in to the world, the flesh, or the devil. If you do, you will be miserable. If you don’t, you will be forever blessed.

Therefore, having been justified by faith, you have peace with Me through your Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also you have obtained your introduction by faith into this grace in which you stand; so exult in hope of My glory manifesting in you and through you. And not only this, but you also will exult in your tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because My love has been poured out within your hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to you. Romans 5:1-5.

You acquire patience by girding yourself in the truth of My Word, which will set you free from fear, and putting on My full armor by diligently pursuing My Word, love, and the gifts of the Spirit, but above all, it is a fruit that your spirit produces only by being attached to Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit, which is like the sap in the vine (full of sap and very green, Psalm 92:14). And this nourishment from the vine produces the fruit in the branch, and the more the branch receives from the vine, the better the quality and the greater the quantity produced. Feed on My Word but also make sure that you are being constantly filled with the Holy Spirit. Do not let the devil’s schemes deflate you by causing you to deviate from joy and thanksgiving. There is only one way to get filled and stay filled with the Holy Spirit, you must be speaking to yourself in songs, hymns, and spiritual songs, making melody to Me in your heart, as you pray within yourself in the Holy Spirit—tongues. And you can keep this up, even on your busiest day out in the hustle and bustle of the world and its many activities.

I love you. Let patience have its perfect work in you. Remember, patience is a relentless determination to enforce the promises in My Word. And the good news is you already have them all as “yes” to in Christ Jesus, so all you need to do is stand and not let the enemy rob you of what you already possess. Patience says “amen” to every promise you find in My Word and never retracts.
