And Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on the name of the LORD, the everlasting God (El Olam). Genesis 21:33.
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. Isaiah 40:28.
Now to Him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which has been kept secret for long ages past, but now is manifested, and by the Scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all the nations, leading to obedience of faith; to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, be the glory forever. Amen. Romans 16:25-27.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I AM El (אֵל) Olam (עוֹלָם). This name means “eternal God,” “forever God,” or “everlasting God.” I was first called that by Abraham after I had revealed to Him that I was God the Most High and El Shaddai, or the God of enough, enough to meet every need and make him rich. I became his source for everything good. He told the king of Sodom after the battle of the kings, which Abraham won, that he would receive NOTHING from the king of Sodom lest he say that he had made Abraham rich. Abraham knew it was Me that made him rich and his allegiance was to Me alone.
Abraham had many divine encounters and visions whereby I showed him great promises for his seed after him and made covenant with him. He saw Me as eternal, from everlasting to everlasting, miraculously revealing Myself to him in time and intervening in and changing his life. He heard My voice and that was enough for him. And when he saw what faith obtained, he was fully persuaded that what I promised I was more than able to perform.
I spoke to him of the future, about the four hundred years his descendants would be slaves in Egypt and then come back to the land I promised him to give them laden with riches in the fourth generation. Genesis 15:14-16. Which came to pass hundreds of years later just as I had told him. But even a thousand years in My sight are like yesterday when it passes by, or as a watch in the night. Psalm 90:4.
I taught the Gospel to Abraham ahead of time, Galatians 3:8, and he saw the day of Jesus and rejoiced. John 8:56. He knew that I Myself would provide the lamb that would take away the sins of the world. Genesis 22:8. And I chose his line to be the one to which I would entrust the seed of My Word– the written Word, the spoken Word, and the revealed Word who became flesh and dwelt among you. Yes, I blessed everyone on earth by the faith of faithful Abraham, which as I Am, became everlasting in an everlasting covenant.
And after Sarah conceived and bore a son to Abraham in his old age as I had promised, Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him, whom Sarah bore to him, Isaac. And later, Abraham planted a grove in Beersheba, and called there on Me as the everlasting God. Genesis 21:33. This Name brings out one of the most exalted and awe-inspiring attributes of Mine – the fact that I AM eternal. It is My Name YHWH, i.e., I AM, I was, and I am to come, put merely in one word: Everlasting. My prophet Moses wrote, “LORD, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.” Psalm 90:1-2.
I am from eternity to eternity, from everlasting to everlasting, I AM your God. We continue our instructions on knowing Me by knowing My Name with Life Lesson No. 22: El Olam (The Everlasting God).
I have been your dwelling place in all generations. In Me you live and move and have your being. It is I who make and sustain you. It is I who planned you before the foundation of the world. It is I who prepared a life of good deeds for you in advance that spans eternity.
Before the mountains were brought forth, before I formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting, I AM God. You are the clay and I am the potter, you are all the work of My hands. And I love all I have made.
I AM. I have been in existence from eternity past, beyond antiquity, and will continue to exist right into eternity future, into futurity. There is no beginning and no end to Me. I AM the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the God who was, who is and who is to come. Revelation 1:4,8; 4:8. I have always been there. There was never a time where I was not there. YHWH Shammah. The promise of My eternal presence. No matter where you go, I am there. And I am love and that love will never end and it was before all else was. My all encompassing love always was and always will be, you can rest in it and be fully assured of the great love I have for you. I come to you from eternity past, saying, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.” Jeremiah 31:3. I have always known you, even before one of your days came into being in the physical realm, in My book were all written the days that were ordained for you when as yet there was not one of them. Psalm 139:16. Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you. Jeremiah 1:5. I have called you by name, you are Mine, and you are precious to Me and My thoughts are precious to you, the sum of them is vaster in number than the sand of the seashore and the stars of the sky. Why? They continue for eternity, that means they have no end. For I have promised you eternal life, and that promise is realized for you in My Son. When you lie down in death in this world you shall awake and still be with Me. Psalm 139:17-18. I bring back your soul from the pit, that you may be enlightened with the Light of life. Job 33:30.
The Name El Olam assures you that I will always be there with you and you with Me. I will not change. I will never leave you or forsake you. I cannot die. I AM the living God and all are alive for Me. David saw that and sang, “My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; when shall I come and appear before God?” Psalm 42:2. With Me is the fountain of life and in My light you see light. And that light is life, the light for the life of men. No follower of My Son will ever walk in darkness, no never, but will have the Light of life. John 8:12.
I stand apart from the flow of time. In fact I am the author of time. I can speak the end from the beginning. You are currently, in this world, bound by time. I do not have to wait to know the outcome of the process of time. I am not bound to time, nor am I limited by it. To you even a thousand years is a long time. Well, even waiting for something ten years seems long to you, but to Me, a thousand years are no different from a day, and one day, the eternal Day, it will be like that for you also. Then you shall be like Me, unbound by time. You will know the full freedom of My children, ruling and reigning with Me in the eternal Kingdom of glory forever. Revelation 22:5. There is no night there. There are no boundaries to your existence. You do not age or die. Your body is glorified immortal. The perishable is over, like a night watch in the past, and only the eternal remains. 1 Corinthians 15:50-54.
Therefore, My precious children, do not lose heart, because you have not yet put on the imperishable, your outer man is aging, yet your inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for you an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while you look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal. They do not change. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18.
For I AM eternal, unchangeable and immutable. I AM the same yesterday, today and forever. I AM always the same forever and ever. This truth is revealed in My Name, El Olam, The Everlasting God. I never grow old with the passing of time, though I AM the Ancient of Days. I AM the same, and My years shall have no end. And I will pull you into that same eternal existence. This is the inheritance of those who believe in and love Me.
I have been your dwelling place in all generations. In every generation those who trust in Me have never failed to find their dwelling place in Me. I AM the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and on down the generations. Although you live in different times and in different circumstances, I AM the same God, and in Me you will always find the same faithfulness, the same love, the same power to save and deliver you.
Hundreds and thousands of years have passed by; and multitudes of changes have taken place in this world, but I have not changed. I remain and will ever remain the same: ready to demonstrate the same love, faithfulness and grace to those who will seek after Me and abide in Me. No one who comes will I ever reject. When you seek Me with your heart, you will find Me right there with you.
And because I always remain the same, I am absolutely dependable and reliable. I am eternal and unchangeable; I AM El Olam to you. You can trust in My Word and the promises I give you because I will never change them. My gifts and My call are irrevocable. You can have full assurance of salvation in Jesus. You can have full assurance that your sins are forgiven in His suffering, death and resurrection. I do not change My mind or revoke the benefits I have lavished upon you.
My unchangeable nature is not static but dynamic. I AM at work even till now and Jesus is as well. Jesus was always with Me but in time He took flesh and underwent the suffering and death of the cross, and now He lives as your great High Priest and great good Shepherd, highly exalted with the Name above every other name. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He told the amazed Jews, “Before Abraham came to be, I AM.” His goings forth are from eternity to eternity though He took flesh, was born, and died in time, it is an eternal redemption done once for all.
I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, “My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure.” Isaiah 46,9,10. My eternal nature transcends all time.
I always do all things in a manner that is consistent with My own unchanging character. And My purpose is always consistent with all that I AM – your loving, eternal and unchangeable Heavenly Father, the One who is called El Olam. You can lean on Me. I am your firm foundation, utterly reliable and dependable. I will never change one of My Names, I AM just as much the LORD your healer now as I was when I first gave Moses and the Israelites that Name. And the same with all My other Names that I have revealed to you. In fact, My Names and promises are now confirmed to you in Jesus so that they are all YES to you in Him. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.’ (Hebrews 13:8). The Lord Jesus is now your mainstay in life, providing all the constancy and stability that you need to cope with the changing world.
When you feel downcast because people who are close to you have changed, please remember this: I never change. I love you with an unchanging, undying, everlasting love. My love and goodness never fade. I have espoused you to Me forever in faithfulness and love. And for Me, it never loses the freshness of first love. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down to you from Me, the Father of lights, and in Me there no variableness, neither shadow of turning.’
I love you. I AM El Olam. I AM your forever Father. I will ALWAYS be here for you.
