God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. Hebrews 1:1-3.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God () says:
Jesus. He is the most important Person in your life. He is the way, the truth, and the life. There is no other way to Me than Jesus. Jesus fits My divinity into humanity and fits humanity into My divinity, reconciling and uniting God and Man in one seamless life as Son of God and Son of Man. I so loved the world that I gave Him to you to purify you of sin so that you who believe in Him shall not perish but shall have eternal life. John 14:6; Hebrews 1:3; John 3:16.
Today we begin a new series on the unfathomable riches of Christ so that you may know My love, grace, and glory in the Person of Jesus Christ your Lord and My Son. The series is “Jesus, God with Us,” and today is Life Lesson No. 1: “The Innermost Expression of who God is.”
As it is written by My Spirit, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.” John 1:1-4.
My Word is the innermost expression of who I am. Generating from within Me, the Word came forth, begotten by My Spirit, the expression of My very essence, the exact representation of My nature and the radiance of My goodness, My power, and My presence. And the Word became a tangible expression of Me, the Father, as My Son, the only begotten God.
My beloved John wrote by My Spirit: “What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life— and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us— what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ.” 1 John 1:1-3.
And by the Person of the Word of Life that generated from within Me I spoke and made everything that is made and I made all things with Him and through Him and for Him. I formed everything by My Word.
Who is Jesus? He is My image, My essence, My radiance, My exact representation, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him I created all things, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it is My good pleasure for all My fullness to dwell in Him, and in Him to reconcile all things to Myself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven. Colossians 1:15-20. In all wisdom and insight, I have made known to you the mystery of My will of redemption, according to My kind intention which I purposed in Jesus with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. Ephesians 1:8-10.
Man pulled out from Me and went into another “god,” the devil, who empowered man to live as he did, that is, proud, foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending his life in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. And you also receive the reward of your master as his servant, and the wages of sin are sickness, death and destruction, and ultimately the second death of hell. Your shepherd became death. A culture of death. But then I sent Jesus out from My bosom, deep within Me, to seek you out, take your sins and pains and bear your judgment, cleanse you, purify you, fill you with My Spirit, and then pull you back with Him into Me, into My grace, into My divine life in you, and into My reward. In Him, it has pleased Me to give YOU the Kingdom. Your Shepherd has become the One in whom there is eternal life. A culture of abundant life to the fullest. I sent My Word to heal you and to deliver you from your destruction. Psalm 107:20.
Jesus, My Word, generated from within, begotten in truth, is the way I expressed Myself to you.
I spoke long ago to the patriarchs and their descendants in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days I have spoken to you in My Son, whom I appointed heir of all things and through whom I made the world. And He is My Word so He speaks My Word and He is the exact expression of My nature so He only does My Works, but there is more. And confessedly great is the mystery of godliness: He appeared in the flesh, was revealed by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed among the nations, was believed in throughout the world, was taken up in glory. 1 Timothy 3:16.
I am speaking here of the hidden wisdom which I predestined before the ages to your glory; all that I have prepared for those who love Me. Only My Spirit knows what is in My innermost depths, the thoughts in My heart. I reveal them to you by My Spirit, who searches all things.
The Spirit testifies to Jesus. He descended upon Jesus and remained. Jesus was filled with the Spirit. My Words are Spirit and Life. Jesus spoke Spirit and Life. All was breathed forth from within Me. My Spirit proceeds from Me and also from My Son, we are of one Spirit who is also a Person, He is breathed forth from deep within as the power in My Word. He discloses My thoughts to you. Jesus explained, “I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.” John 16:12-15. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Revelation 3:22. The Spirit speaks to the Body of Christ.
Jesus is My gift to you of GOD WITH YOU. In seeing Him, you see Me. In hearing Him, you hear Me. My Word became flesh and dwelt among you and you saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. At that time no one had seen Me; the only begotten God who is in My bosom, He has disclosed (revealed, explained) Me. I was in Christ reconciling you to Myself and freely bestowing My goodness, presence, and power upon all who would come to Him in faith.
And now that Jesus has returned to Me in glory and is seated at the right hand of My majesty on High, He did not leave you without GOD WITH YOU. He promised you the night when He was betrayed, “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Paraclete (God with you), that He may be with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.” John 14:16-17. He will be in you! Again My Word, as breathed by My Spirit, would dwell on earth in your flesh as a sanctuary to walk among you so that you would also do My works and say My Words as Jesus had done!
And Jesus told you more, “These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Paraclete (One at your side, with you to counsel, comfort, guide you), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” John 14:25. And there is more, “When the Paraclete (God with you) comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me and you will testify also.” John 15:26. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Revelation 19:10.
It is all about My desire to be with you in the expression of My innermost being, to share My thoughts, life, goodness, power and presence with you.
Jesus is My Word, generated from within, begotten in truth, and He is the way I revealed Myself to you. And now He reveals and expresses Himself to you by the Spirit, Christ in you, your hope of glory. God with you and in you and upon you.
But there is more.
Jesus is the true Light who enlightens every person coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, but, though His goings forth are from eternity, the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as do receive Him, to them He gives the authority to become My children, even to those who believe in His name, who are begotten, not of bloods of men nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of Me. John 1:9-13. Consider this carefully in the light of My Word. Jesus is the first born of many brethren, Him and the children I have given Him, Hebrews 2:13, for I was pleased to crush Him, putting Him to grief and weakness; because He rendered Himself as a guilt offering, He will see seed and prolong days and My good pleasure will prosper in His hand. Isaiah 53:10. Do you see? In Jesus, by the imperishable seed of My Word, you are generated into an expression of who I am—a new creation in Christ generated, that is begotten in Me, into the innermost expression of who I am. And I am love. My love is manifested in you just as it was in Jesus. I think now you will understand this passage of My Word, “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:15-19.
You too, like Jesus, can be filled with all My fullness. Of His fullness you have all received, grace on top of grace. He shares My life with you so that you too become partakers of My divine nature. 2 Peter 1:4. I give the Spirit without measure to those who keep My Word.
When Jesus told Nicodemus that he had to be born again from above to enter or even see My Kingdom, Nicodemus was puzzled and asked, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” John 3:4. And the answer is, “No he cannot go back in his mother’s womb, but Jesus can take him back into the bosom, the very womb of God from which He came forth, to be generated (begotten) anew as an expression of My nature, that is, as My child begotten in My image and likeness.” And that is what it means to be a new creation in Christ, to be born again by the imperishable seed of My Word. And that is the seed that Jesus sees forever before Him because of rendering Himself as the sin offering, the peace offering, and the guilt offering for you. For the joy that lay before Him, He endured the cross, despising the shame.
I love you. We have barely touched who Jesus is, but now you may understand what My servant Paul was praying for you in the Spirit, “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom the whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:14-21.
