My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2.
Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I have supplied for ALL your needs according to My riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. I look ahead, I know the end from the beginning. I AM the LORD who sees thee need even before you do. I sent Jesus to fill all your needs. I sent Him to take your sins on Himself and take them away from you and accept the wages of sin in your place so that you might be free of all that hindered you and kept you from your eternal inheritance. But once He had made propitiation for your sins, I raised Him from the dead to be your advocate. For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted. Hebrews 2:18,
And that is today’s Life Lesson on the unfathomable riches I have put in Christ, “Jesus Christ your Advocate.”
An advocate is a person who pleads the cause of another. As a legal term, it is the one who pleads the cause of another before a tribunal or judicial court, referred to as a counselor, lawyer or attorney. An intercessor is one who pleads in favor of a person and defends the person by argument, before a tribunal or the public; to support, vindicate, or recommend publicly The advocate has the legal argument that cannot be refuted in civil court and the intercessor argues for mercy and favor based on justifying attributes in a court of equity. And I have given you both in My Son. And I had to do this Myself for you. For I looked at all men from Adam on and it was displeasing in My sight that there was no justice and none righteous, all were entangled in sin. I saw that there was no man, and was astonished that there was no one, to intercede. So I had to do it for you Myself but it had to be through one that was a man, a kinsman redeemer. So My own arm brought salvation, My Word became flesh and that is how I reached down to make satisfaction for you, and My own righteousness He gave you. Isaiah 59:15-16.
For who has believed the message? And to whom has My arm been revealed? My Son was despised and forsaken of men, but surely your sicknesses He Himself bore, and your pains He carried. Yet people esteemed Him stricken, smitten of Me, and afflicted. But He was pierced through for your transgressions, He was crushed for your iniquities; the chastening for your well-being (shalom) fell upon Him, and by His scourging you are healed. All of you like sheep have gone astray, each of you has turned to his own way; but I caused the iniquity of you all to fall on Him. Isaiah 53:1-6. Jesus, My Servant, will justify the many, He bore your iniquities. He poured out Himself to death and was numbered with the transgressors; yet He Himself bore the sin of many and interceded for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:11-12. The sin offering and the Advocate justifying and clearing your debt with His own blood. Ephesians 1:7.
Although Jesus died once for ALL and paid in full for every sin that had been or ever would be committed by mankind, individually and collectively, I knew that in each life, though cleansed by Jesus’ blood and by My Word of which you are born again and regenerated by the Holy Spirit into a new creation in Christ, there would be trials and temptations in this world until Jesus returns and the end comes when I create new heavens and a new earth where the curse is no more. But now, because you are still clothed in the flesh, and in a curse filled world, though your spirit is born again, you may fall into sin. Jesus told you to pray that you not be put to the test for your spirit is willing but your flesh is weak, and you should take this seriously. Understand that sin has no power over you since you are now under grace and have the One who has overcome the world in you, but if you should sin, do not feel you have lost all. You have not. You have an advocate.
And He is My gift to you, not just as your redeemer, Savior and Lord for when you first received Him as Lord, but also as your advocate that ever lives to make intercession for you before Me. Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather whom I raised, who is at My right hand having made purification for sins, who also intercedes for you. Romans 8:34, Hebrews 1:3. But I demonstrate My own love toward you, in that while you were yet sinners, Christ died for you, so be assured then that MUCH MORE, having now been justified by His blood, you shall be saved from the wrath through Him. Romans 5:8-9.
He is My gift to you, freely given, who will always intercede and advocate for you with His blood speaking forgiveness, propitiation and atonement, speaking louder than the blood of Abel. He puts Me in remembrance of what He has done by His blood. What I mean is that He has made ample payment by His eternal blood, for the life is in the blood, for every sin for all time. When Satan, and his name means accuser or prosecutor, condemns you, Jesus shows you the Satisfaction and Release filed in the court of Heaven, before Me, the just judge, that all your sins were paid for in advance upon the cross of Christ, PAID IN FULL, nailed to the cross. When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, I made you alive together with Him, having forgiven you ALL your transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against you, which was hostile to you; and I have taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When Jesus had disarmed the rulers and authorities, Jesus made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through the cross. Colossians 2:13-15. You debt is paid in full already, you just need to receive the Satisfaction and Release and show to Satan and in the court of Heaven.
Walk in the Light as I Myself am in the Light. There is no darkness or evil in Me, I can always step in the light and you will see nothing but purity and holiness. And if you stay in the fellowship of Light with Me, willing to open all you are to Me, the blood of Jesus cleanses you continually from all sin. His blood is on the mercy seat in Heaven forever. If you sin do not hide from Me and try to blame others or cover it up, as Adam and Eve did through unfounded fear and pride. If, as they did, you say that you have no sin, you are deceiving yourself and the truth is not in you. If, however, you confess your sins, I AM faithful and righteous to forgive you your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Why? Because they have already been paid for in full by the blood of the Lamb who takes away the sins of the world. You overcome the accuser of the brethren, Satan, that ancient serpent, the devil, who has deceived the whole world, by the BLOOD OF THE LAMB and THE WORD OF YOUR TESTIMONY. You have the Satisfaction and Release for all your sins for all time filed before Me, the Chief Judge of the Supreme Court of the Universe. You can testify with the High Priest of your confession that you are acquitted. The Claim has been dismissed and cannot be filed before Me again. And no sins can be prosecuted for double jeopardy applies, judgment and condemnation to death was already passed for all your sins upon Jesus who took them all from you and bore them before the court of divine justice and the Just Judge of all. My just wrath for your sins fell on Him, no further satisfaction need be done. He has freed you from the wrath to come for those who have not come under the protection of the blood of Jesus. If you do not believe that He is My Son and your Lord, you will die in your own sins. You must receive and acknowledge the payment to have it. If you say that you have not sinned, you make Me a liar and My Word is not in you. 1 John 1:10. And it is My Word that heals and saves you. Psalm 107:20.
When Jesus the Messiah appeared as a high priest of the good things to come, He entered through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation; and I am speaking of the model I gave Moses for the earthly tabernacle here, and not through the blood of goats and calves, but through His own blood, He entered the holy place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if in the Old Covenant I made with the people and Moses, the blood of goats, rams, and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled sanctify for the cleansing of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to Me, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve Me, the living God? Hebrews 9:11-14.
For it was fitting for you to have such a wonderful advocate as your great high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners and exalted above the heavens; who does not need daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for His own sins and then for the sins of the people, because this He did once for all when He offered up Himself. For the Law appoints men as high priests who are weak, but the word of the oath, which came after the Law, appoints a Son, made perfect forever. Hebrews 7:26-28.
It all has to do with the Blood of Jesus, just as at the first Passover it all had to do with the blood of the unblemished lamb. But now the fulfillment—the substance of the shadow—has come and Christ your Passover has been sacrificed. He is the sacrificial offering, the High Priest, and the Advocate ever at your side. And He did not leave you orphans, He sent another Advocate to be in you and with you always, the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, whom the world does not accept because unbelievers neither see Him nor know Him, but with you it is different for you do know Him, for He is in you and with you forever, testifying to your spirit that your sins and offenses I remember NO MORE. Hebrews 10:15.
In Jesus, I have fulfilled the promises of Psalm 16, “You will make known to me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; in Your right hand there are pleasures forever.” Psalm 16:11. He is the Way that I show you. If you know Him you will obey His commandments and follow Him as your great good Shepherd. He is your teacher and the High Priest of your confession (homologia- which means you are to speak in agreement with what He speaks, which, of course, is My Word). In Him, I teach you to profit and the way you should go. In Him are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. He is My beloved Son, listen to Him!
And if you follow Him and receive His Words you will share His joy and your joy will be complete. John 15:11. He ushers you into My presence, directly to the throne of grace to receive mercy and find grace to help just when you need it. And in My presence there is FULLNESS of joy! And that is your strength. I anoint you with the same anointing with which I anointed Jesus and that is the anointing with the oil of joy! If you continue in His Word you are truly My disciples and then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free. And whom the Son sets free is free indeed.
And in My right hand are treasures and pleasures forever. When you follow Jesus as your good Shepherd He has you in His hand and in His hand you are forever in Mine. And My hand feeds you, sustains you, and helps you. My hands formed you and will restore you. Nothing is too hard for Me. Nothing is too wonderful for Me. You will never fall headlong if you have hold of My hand.
And how does Psalm 16 start? “Preserve me, O God, for I take refuge in You. I said to the LORD (YHWH), You are my Lord (Adonai); I have no good besides You.” Psalm 16:1-2. Yes, your good is in Jesus (Adonai), your redeemer, savior, justifier, and advocate who ever lives to intercede for you and save you to the uttermost. Never seek another. Stay close to your Advocate. “I have set the LORD continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 16:8. I have seated you at My right hand with Jesus, believe that and act accordingly.
And the conclusion? “The LORD is the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You support my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places. Indeed, my inheritance is beautiful to me.” Psalm 16:5. In Jesus, I have made you My child, My heir, and a joint heir with Christ. And that is legal adoption forever. You have a new bloodline. A royal priesthood.
I love you. Never despair if you should succumb to sin through weakness if you are in Christ. You have an Advocate and He has the eternal blood shed for you. And if Satan tries to attack you with pain or sickness, remember you have an Advocate and Intercessor. But best of all, keep your eyes on Jesus, remain in My Word, store My Words in your heart and speak only those things that are in agreement with My Words (homologia) and you will never sin. Guaranteed. And why not join with Jesus and be an advocate and intercessor for all I send to you? My Spirit will guide you for He is also an advocate. Paraklétos (Paraclete) is the word that you see translated as “advocate.” And it means “one called to your aid,” that is, an advocate, intercessor, a consoler, comforter, and helper. I sent you two, first Jesus, and then, once cleansed and born again, He sent you the Holy Spirit to be in you and with you always. I have you well covered. I supply for all your needs according to My riches in glory in Christ Jesus your Lord
