I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. Ephesians 1:18-19.

After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” Revelation 4:1-2.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

There are different levels you can live on but I desire that you all come to the highest level, like I told John on the Island of Patmos where it looked barren and hopeless, come up here! And I showed him the Kingdom of Heaven and things that came to be and are coming to be but were not yet.

How did he see it? With his heart.

What does it mean to see with your heart? I am talking about seeing in the spirit. The inner person of the heart. That is where I speak to you. In your heart. And by that I mean in your spirit. I am Spirit and you are also and that is where I share My innermost thoughts with you.

But to see in the spirit you cannot stay at a surface level. When Daniel saw things in the spirit he had to keep looking and inquiring in a close relationship with Me. And you only reach that level by prayer and knowing My Word. That is worship in spirit and in truth.

It is a deep place but it is wide and vast. “He sent from on high, He took me;He drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me. They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my stay. He brought me forth also into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me.” Psalm 18:16-18.

It is drawing up revelation from the springs of Salvation. From within and being in Jesus. It always has to do with Jesus, who is My Word and My Messenger. When Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-nego were thrown in the fiery furnace for refusing to bow to an idol and entrusting themselves to Me, they walked about and sang praises and suddenly there was a fourth man in that fire that looked like the Son of Man. And they were unharmed by the fire. “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine! When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, nor will the flame burn you.” Isaiah 43:1-2.

I come to you through Jesus and you come to Me through Him. It was always that way. From shadow to substance.

I see you and know you from before you are born. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.” Jeremiah 1:5. “Even as he chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him.” Ephesians 1:4. “Your eyes have seen my embryo; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them.” Psalm 139:16.

I see the end from the beginning, but how do I see it since it is not yet? How did I see you before you were born? Before you were formed in your mother’s womb? I also see with the heart. And what I see, I call into being. Romans 4:17.

And I also show you things in your heart, our secret place where My Spirit speaks with your spirit, and then it gets to your mind by being transferred from your spirit to your soul, the inner witness.

I see with the heart and I see into your heart. I communicate with you heart to heart, that is, Spirit to spirit. That is why you must walk in the spirit to hear from Me and not merely in the flesh. My Spirit witnesses with and testifies to your spirit. It happens together. Whoever joins with Christ becomes one spirit with Him.

And it is not just hearing words, I actually let you see things with your heart. That is why when Jesus appeared to Paul on the road, only Paul saw Jesus. The same is true with the angels who bring My messages to people, no one else sees them though they are there. That is why Elisha could discern the angelic host on the hillside around his abode but the servant could not until Elisha prayed that I open his eyes to see. It was another level of seeing. Seeing with the heart and not the physical eyes. And that is the way you see spiritual realities even now. “For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words. But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:10-16.

That is why My apostle Paul prayed that the eyes of your heart would be enlightened to see into the things freely yours in Christ. “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.” Ephesians 1:18-19.

When John was in exile on the Island of Patmos for preaching the good news of Jesus, he tells you that all the amazing things I showed him he saw because, “I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like the sound of a trumpet, saying, “Write in a book what you see, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.” Revelation 1:10-11. And after those revelations of Jesus, when I asked him to come up to the Kingdom, he explains, “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and One sitting on the throne. And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance.” Revelation 4:1-3. And so began a most amazing series of visions of the end times in the realm of the Spirit.

Life with Me is a matter of the heart. Your heart open to My heart. My heart is open to you but there is not much I can do for you if your heart is closed to Me. I am able to honor those who honor Me, otherwise I cannot. It was like the Israelites I redeemed out of Egypt. I tried to take them to a higher level with the Word I gave them and the wonders I worked for them. I wanted them to be My royal priesthood, My special treasure, a people that would be a light to the nations, a beacon of how beautiful life could be in a nation of a people who followed My Word walking prosperous, strong and free without a poor one among them. But they would not. They constantly fought against Me and rebelled against My Word. They would not enter and take the Promised Land. They said I had deceived them and would rather die in the desert. So though it was not My Will for them or the good life I wanted to give them I had to give them what they chose. And they did not like their choice and still blamed Me for their own rebellion and decision, just as Adam had done. I set before you life and death, blessing and curse, light and darkness—choose life that you and your descendants may live! They could have lived in a wondrous place but they never entered the land I had planned for them since the creation of the world, a land flowing with milk and honey. And it never flowed with milk and honey for others to this day. It is a land for them. And it is beginning to blossom again. The fig tree is blooming. Be aware of the signs of the times so you know the right thing to do. Like the sons of Issachar who followed My Word that David was to be the king and so they put their allegiance with him.

Daniel honored Me in the midst of a pagan nation by whom he had been taken captive as a prisoner of war. But I showed him favor, as I had done with Joseph earlier in Egypt, and wherever he went I was with him because he was always walking with Me. When you stay close to Me, I can stay close with you. Not that I am far from anyone, in Me you live and move and have your being, but if you do not turn your heart to Me you will not be able to hear or see with your heart, only with your physical eyes and mind. People imagine things and make plans in their intellect, like the tower of Babel, but when it is not from Me it will not succeed more than a brief period of time measured by the vast scheme of things. Empires have risen and fallen that were purely worldly and often cruel and ruthless, which is what happens when I am not involved in your life, that seemed unconquerable and amassed a lot of territory. But those who fear My Name will continue. Daniel served under five kings: Nebuchadnezzar, Evil-merodach, Belshazzar, Darius, and Cyrus. Empires rose and fell but Daniel remained. His wisdom and interpretation of dreams and visions could not escape notice. He was a man of an excellent spirit. And that was consistently what all the kings he served under knew about him, “There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy god. In the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom like the wisdom of the god were found in him, and King Nebuchadnezzar, your father—your father the king—made him chief of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers, because an excellent spirit, knowledge, and understanding to interpret dreams, explain riddles, and solve problems were found in this Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.” Daniel 5:7-12. And Daniel did.

And Daniel was grateful, overflowing with gratitude for Me, “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; He removes kings and sets up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. To You. O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, for You have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we asked of You, for You have made known to us the king’s matter.” Daniel 2:20-23.

My Name is mercy and love. Never forget that. I am there and you can trust that. I will never reject the heart that turns to Me. My eyes roam to and fro across the world looking for those whose hearts are towards Me to show Myself strong on their behalf. A heart turned to Me gets full attention. David was a man after My own heart. And I showed Myself strong for him.

Do you recall what Jacob said at the end of his sojourn on earth? “He blessed Joseph, and said, “The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has been my shepherd all my life to this day, the angel who has redeemed me from all evil.” Genesis 48:15-16. He was the first one to call me his Shepherd. Do you see your life as one filled with My provision, redemption, and faithfulness? Jacob did and his heart was always seeking Me, seeking My blessing, and seeking to have Me as his LORD. When I gave him a vision of how to prosper and rescued him from Laban with Leah and Rachel and his flocks and children, he prayed, “I am unworthy of all the lovingkindness and of all the faithfulness which You have shown to Your servant; for with my staff only I crossed this Jordan, and now I have become two companies.” Genesis 32:10. And I changed his name to Israel and his sons became the twelve tribes of Israel.

And I am your Shepherd and I have fulfilled that covenant Name in Jesus, your great good Shepherd who laid down His life for you and leads you home to Me. There is no snatching out of His hand and He gives you eternal life. I raised Him from the dead by the blood of the eternal covenant as your great Good Shepherd and your great High Priest and He will be there for you forever. “They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 7:13-14.

“Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God,” Jesus told you. And this is not just for Heaven, but for now, you see Me with the eyes of your heart.

I look at hearts. Pure hearts see into the spirit. What makes a man unclean? An impure heart. “That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles the man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile the man.” Mark 7:20-23.

It all has to do with what you let into your heart. “I the LORD search the heart, I test the mind, even to give each man according to his ways, according to the result of his deeds.” Jeremiah 14:10. “Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the LORD. For he will be like a bush in the desert and will not see when prosperity comes, but will live in stony wastes in the wilderness, a land of salt without inhabitant.” Jeremiah 17:5-6. And what did I say before the great flood came upon the earth, “Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.” Genesis 6:5-6. But what was the solution? “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever . . . I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. . . so you will be My people, and I will be your God.” Genesis 6:3; Ezekiel 36:26-27. My promise that Jesus came to give you. I foretold a new covenant, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them. But this is the covenant which I will make after those days sealed in the eternal blood of My Son, I will put My law within you and on your heart I will write it; and I will be your God, and you shall be My people. And you will all know Me, from the least to the greatest for I will forgive your iniquity by imputing it all to Jesus and punishing your sins upon Him and your sins and offenses I will remember no more. Jeremiah 31:31-34; Hebrews 10:15-17; Hebrews 8.

These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:11. And a joyful heart is a good medicine.

I love you. May the eyes of your heart be enlightened to see what I am showing you in the spirit. It is wonderful things I show you, things you could not know. But once you see them with your heart, you never forget them.

Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed;
Save me and I will be saved,
For You are my praise.
Jeremiah 17:14.
