He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him. John 14:21.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
To see with the eyes of your heart, your heart must be right with Me. “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.” Matthew 5:8. The word you see translated as “pure” is the Greek word katharos (καθαρός) which means clean in the sense of purged and purified. Katharos means clean in that sense that it is without admixture; what is separated (purged), hence “clean” (pure) because unmixed (without undesirable elements). To Me it means you are purged of the contaminating (soiling) influences of sin, i.e., the devil has no part in you. It is the same word My Son used when He said at the Passover meal the night He was betrayed, “You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you.” John 15:3.
My Word cleans you of the contaminating influences of sin. “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.” Ephesians 5:25-27. The word used there in Greek that is translated “cleansed” is the verb taken from the adjective katharos, that is, katharizó (καθαρίζω) to cleanse in the sense of removing any admixture.
The words of the world, the flesh, and the devil cannot cleanse you. In fact, have you ever noticed since you took Jesus as your Lord and were born again, that worldly idle conversations with friends, co-workers, or family that used to not bother you at all, some people look forward to a session of gossip or fault finding, complaining and venting, now make you walk away from them feeling unclean and disturbed? That is My Spirit within you trying to bring you back into the spirit realm where it is light and out of walking in the flesh where it is dark. For the mind set on the things of the Spirit is life and peace, but the mind set on the things of the flesh is death and anxiety. Just as words can cleanse, words can defile as well. Have you ever felt clean and energized after exchanging angry, bitter words with another person? Of course not, for you have just let in a host of unclean spirits and obeyed them.
First of all you must know that My Words, My commands, only have one purpose—to prosper you and give you days of Heaven on the earth and to impart that to others associated with you as well. That is how it was with the first man until now. I do not change. My Word is established forever in Heaven. And I have put My Words in your mouth to establish them upon the earth. Isaiah 51:16. So why would you, when you have the instructions so near you that would make your life prosperous, healthy and successful, despise My commands and My teachings to walk in words contrary to Mine that will destroy you and others? “Beloved, I desire that above all and in all respects that you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2. And how does your soul prosper? I answer that, “I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth.” 3 John 1:4. By walking in the truth, that is, My Word is truth, so be walking in My Word. And that is obedience with a purpose. If you desire long healthy, prosperous life, obedience to My Word is the key. Jesus prayed to Me for you on the night when He was betrayed, “I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth. John 17:15-17. I sanctify you, that is, make you holy, by My Word. The more time you spend in My Word, and that does not have to be hours alone, you can meditate on My Word day and night like Joshua did and he was very busy governing over two million people that he led into the Promised Land in organized battle array. He had to hear from Me to succeed and he did not budge off My Word to enlighten him with the strategies to succeed. And I showed him explicitly the tactics for each battle. And the enemies feared him.
“Thus says the LORD: This is what I commanded My people: Listen to My voice; then I will be your God and you shall be My people. Walk in all the ways that I command you, so that you may prosper. But they obeyed not, nor did they pay heed. They walked in the hardness of their evil hearts and turned their backs, not their faces, to Me. From the day that your fathers left the land of Egypt even to this day, I have sent you untiringly all My servants the prophets. Yet they have not obeyed Me nor paid heed; they have stiffened their necks and done worse than their fathers. When you speak all these words to them, they will not listen to you either; when you call to them, they will not answer you. Say to them: This is the nation that does not listen to the voice of the LORD, its God, or take correction. Truth and faithfulness disappeared; the Word itself is banished from their speech.” Jeremiah 7:23-28. I gave you My Word and My Spirit so you could be in Covenant with Me and be My special treasure to reign with Me on earth and in Heaven. Why do you want to make My Word politically incorrect? For Joshua My Word was his way of doing government, politics, war, and peace. Joshua heard Moses declare to the people and he took it to heart, “Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I am teaching you to perform, so that you may live and go in and take possession of the land which the LORD, the God of your fathers, is giving you. You shall not add to the Word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.” Deuteronomy 4:1-2. And Moses continued, “See, I have taught you statutes and judgments just as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do thus in the land where you are entering to possess it. So keep and do them, for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’ For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the LORD our God whenever we call on Him? Or what great nation is there that has statutes and judgments as righteous as this whole law which I am setting before you today?” Deuteronomy 4:5-8. I am there with you whenever you call to Me, and I am present as your helper. Why would you not call? And yet I stretch out My hands calling to you and you will not come to Me to have life so you may live the life that is life indeed.
Obedience to your Word has great reward. “Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.” Psalm 19:11.
I gave My people wonderful and wise commands, and I still do, and asked them to listen to them and obey them (shama), but they would not. “Behold, you are trusting in deceptive words to no avail. Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery and swear falsely, and offer sacrifices to Baal and walk after other gods that you have not known, then come and stand before Me in this house, which is called by My name, and say, ‘We are delivered!’—that you may do all these abominations? Has this house, which is called by My name, become a den of robbers in your sight? Behold, I, even I, have seen it,” declares the LORD.” Jeremiah 7:8-11. And today you see so many trusting in deceptive words and banishing My Word from schools, government, offices, and books. Why? “The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4. Why? Jesus is My Word and the devil tries to steal My Word from you because if he can do that, he can hold you under his authority, as he did Adam and Eve, and take you captive to do his will, which is to steal, kill, and destroy. And that is what you see in the world today. They steal My Word and My authority away from people so they never hear the beauty of My Words nor enjoy My magnificent promises and instead substitute their own words and even shut Me out as creator and give manmade philosophies of creation and evolution instead. They kill infants in the womb and call it “choice” and freedom of authority over your body, while all the time instead of freedom from restraint they are being dominated by the devil who has sought to kill infants and destroy generations since ancient Egypt to this day. And they say they are giving the elderly “death with dignity,” which means snuff out their life before it is finished, and they destroy the younger generation from rising up as a people of greatness to a drug addicted, sexually immoral, gender confused, depressed mess.
But if you turn to Me, I can cleanse you, heal you, and set your feet on the path of prosperity in every area of your life. My plan of shalom and not evil, to give you a future and a hope, and hope does not disappoint because I have poured My love into your heart by the gift of My Holy Spirit in you and on you forever. What a wonderful counselor, comforter, teacher and guide! Jesus died and cleansed you of your sins so I could give you the gift of My Spirit. And if you are willing and obey you will have the good of the land. But if you refuse and rebel the sword will destroy you. And that is the sword of the words of your mouth. By them you are acquitted and by your words you are condemned. Your call. Who will you obey? Me or the devil? There is no neutral position.
But how can I set you free if you will not come to Me to have that precious gift of My Spirit? “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” Acts 2:38-39.
How can I help you if you turn your back to Me and not your face? How can I help you if you walk in disobedience to My Word? I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions, Psalm 107:20, but if you will not love and obey that Word you have left the shield of My protection and I cannot do anything for you. Why? Your door is closed by a heart hard towards My Word and My blessings are all piled up outside your door. If you scoff and mock My Word, My Word cannot heal you. Though I would love to do so. I desire above all that you prosper and be in good health in every aspect of your life for now and forever.
If you would only turn to Me, then I can heal you. If you know and obey My Word, you would be free of the curse.
What am I telling you? Obedience to My Word makes you act just like Me and when you show up the devil does not hear your voice, He hears Mine. And I tell you many times that My voice is like the sound of thunder and trumpet blasts. “Those who contend with the LORD will be shattered; against them He will thunder in the heavens, The LORD will judge the ends of the earth; and He will give strength to His king, and will exalt the horn of His anointed.” 1 Samuel 2:10. “The voice of the LORD is upon the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD is over many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful, the voice of the LORD is majestic. The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars.” Psalm 29:3-5. “After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things.” Revelation 4:1.
Listen to My voice, hearken to My Word, be mindful of Me in all your ways, and I will direct your path, and it will be a path of prosperity. “Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to My commandments! Then your well-being (shalom) would have been like a river, and your righteousness like the waves of the sea.” Isaiah 48:17-18. It all has to do with receiving instructions. Proud people cannot take instruction easily.
I gave Joshua the formula to prosper and succeed, and it was all about obedience to My Word, “This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:8-9.
And it worked. He later would declare, after conquering, that every one of My promises had come to pass. Can you say that?
Seeing with the heart has to do with having a heart filled with My Word, which will constantly cure and deliver you. No darkness, no admixture of the lusts and sins of the worldly, fleshly minded. Never think as obedience as a negative word.
“How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your Word. With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your commandments. Your Word I have treasured in my heart, that I may not sin against You.” Psalm 119:9-11.
The revelation of My Word gives light and understanding to the simple. To will see with your heart when you enlighten the eyes of your heart with My Word. My Word will enlighten, prosper, cleanse, and instruct you to profit and the way you should go. And I have given you the one by whom I breathed the Word to you as your own teacher, counselor, comforter, leader, and guide, the great Holy Spirit. He puts you in direct contact with Me, My power (the dynamo within) and leads you to all truth and tells you of the things to come. Why would you want to live any other way?
Willing obedience to My Word makes you like Me and disobedience makes you just like the devil. And you ultimately go with the one you are like.
I love you. I have given you a treasure in your earthen vessel and now you are each My dwelling place. Jesus explained, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me.” John 14:23-24. And obedience brings revelation, “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” John 14:21.
