“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the massive rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the massive rock.” Matthew 7:24-25.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Solid rock foundation or shifting sand, you choose which one you build your life on. And any wise master builder knows the foundation makes all the difference of whether the house will stand. A sinking, crumbling, cracked, or shallow foundation will cause the building to sag and, if not repaired, fall into ruin.

The next teaching in the Sermon on the Mount concludes the sermon. So it is the conclusion and wrap up of the entire sermon. And it requires projecting a physical truth into a spiritual reality with the eyes of your heart.

“Therefore everyone who hears these Words of Mine and does them, will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.” Matthew 7:24-27.

When Jesus had finished these words, the sermon was completed and the crowds were amazed at His teaching; for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes. Matthew 7:28-29. Why did Jesus speak with such authority? He knew My Word and had no doubts about it, for He knew Me who had spoken it. The Son alone knows Me in all My fullness, for He comes forth from My bosom as My fullness manifesting among you. And knowing Me makes you bold, confident and very courageous. It did for Joshua and it will for you. Joshua 1:7-9.

This last part of the sermon, starts with the word “therefore.” Which means it is a conclusion reached from what came before it. Right before this was the teaching that not everyone who says, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does My Will. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’

That was about those who were not doing My Will and live a wasted life that is headed for perdition no matter what their accomplishments are. Like Judas Iscariot.

Now, Jesus likens a house and its foundation to the structure of your life, to how you are framing your world and building the edifice of your life. And your foundation determines how you will weather the storms and trials of life.

If your foundation is solid rock, you won’t budge for any storm. If it is shifting sand, even a small disturbance will move you around. A rock is unbending while sand conforms to your body. That is why many choose the sand. It indulges each person to accommodate their life style. The rock will not.

Jesus is your cornerstone, He must be the foundation of your life and He is My Word. “And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is chosen and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” 1 Peter 2:4-5.

This passage of the Sermon on the Mount is about whether the attacks of Satan will shake you or not. For he is trying to shake you down and sift you like wheat. What is the solution? Build your life on the rock that is higher than you and higher than the snake can crawl and there things just don’t move you to panic. You are an overcomer when you take your stand on the solid rock foundation of My Word.

Sing with David, “From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.” Psalm 61:2. And don’t stop there, “My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and my glory rest; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.” Psalm 62:5-7. Do not be quick to speak words of fear or complaint wait to hear from Me, rest on the rock of your salvation.

A shaking is coming upon the world. This shaking will remove those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Things built on sand—godless philosophies and the lawlessness that is in the world, will be removed, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Hebrews 12:27-28.

Make the foundation of your life one that cannot be shaken, the Rock of Salvation. For you who are on the foundation of My Word cannot be shaken. My Word is established forever in Heaven. You have received a kingdom which cannot be shaken. Show gratitude for that by not being tossed about by every wind of adversity or evil. Stand upon the rock and when the dust goes down you will still be standing.

Great peace have those who love My Word and treasure My promises and Covenant Names. Those who have their minds stayed on Me, I keep in perfect peace (shalom, shalom). How? Because they trust in Me for their now and their forever, for in Me you have an everlasting Rock.

Do not let adverse circumstances or storms put you in a miry pit. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from your pits. Stay on the foundation of My Word, the everlasting rock and refuse to go waiver.

“I waited, waited, on the LORD and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.” Psalm 40:1-3.

My Son tells you that when you hear and do My Words, you are like the wise man who built on the foundation of a massive rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. This are heavy onslaughts by Satan but you will not fall if you have established your heart in My Word and are doing it.

Heavy onslaughts of the devil will be hard to stand against at first, for you have to decide that he will not take away your victory and your promise from My Word. But you have to take control of your mind if you want to win and not keep thinking of the dreaded result but instead speak the desired outcome promised in My Word. And just focus your attention on that alone and rejoice in it.

Sometimes you just need to fly up to Me, to My rock of refuge with eagle’s wings and there rest in the Son and be renewed. Come to Me all who are burdened and heavy laden and I will give you rest ad restoration. I will teach you how to fight and win the good fight of faith.

If you could see as I do, you would know what is true and you would have joy, you will have peace, and your fruitful life will never cease, but continue to increase. Come to Me, your everlasting rock.

Everything has to be grounded in My Word or it has no stability. It will shake down. If you live in accordance with My Word without sin you will never be shaken. Psalm 15:5. With Me at your right hand, you shall not be shaken. Psalm 16:8; /acts 2:25.

Through knowing My lovingkindnes you will not be shaken. Psalm 21:7. Cast your burdens upon Me and I will sustain you. I will never allow the righteous to be shaken. Psalm 55:22. Whey you are established in righteousness you are far from oppression and no weapon formed against you will prosper.

I love you. All of the sermon on the Mount is about is living by My Word by hearing it, having it in your heart, and doing it. And when you are doing that everything else follows, you become more than a conqueror.
