In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
All things start with My Word. All things came into being through My Word, and apart from My Word nothing came into being that has come into being. John 1:3. And all things are sustained and continue in My Word. I uphold all things by the Word of My power. Hebrews 1:3.
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” John 1:1. I am My Word. You cannot have a relationship with Me without starting with My Word, and that is the same with any relationship you have with anyone in this life. You have no relationship with someone you have never communicated with. And you determine whether you pursue a relationship that goes deeper with another or just have a surface relationship where you simply exchange greetings now and then. But you must hear them speak their thoughts and intentions or you do not know what is in them. People’s words give them away if you stay with them long for the mouth speaks from the abundance of the heart.
Friends, spouses, siblings, do not stay close for long if they no longer communicate often. They do not grow together but apart so finally neither one really knows the other at all.
You will never have joy apart from knowing Me, that is, knowing My Word, because I made you by My Word and My Word defines who you are. You will never know who you are and where you came from, or why you are here, or where you are going without My Word.
And you will never know My joy, which is your strength, without knowing what I am saying about you, to you, and in you. I have good plans for you and I wrote them in My scroll before you were born. They are the treasure of your life, good deeds prepared in advance for you to enjoy.
Jesus told you that not only do My Words cleanse you but they also give you joy. “These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.” John 15:11. Jesus only spoke My Words for He knew they alone were eternal life, but also, He is My Word acting in the world.
My Word does not just stay in the spirit realm, it forms in My innermost being, in the bosom and center of who I am, and then as I speak it forth it manifests, it is birthed, in the physical form by the working of My Spirit. I send forth My Spirit and things are created and I renew the face of the earth.
In Hebrew, the word used for My Word is “debar” and it means both My Word that I speak and it also means something that is physically tangible, that you can see, hold or touch with your hands.
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:16.
And My Word healed you and deliver you, just as I had promised. Psalm 107:20.
For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:16-17.
No man or woman had ever seen Me before Jesus came to dwell among you, Adam’s sin had shut you out of the perfect vision of Me, there was a veil over your eyes that you could not see past and enter behind. But in Jesus the veil was removed. He was God visible covered over by flesh so that the full glory you could not behold as yet. For the Word became flesh so you could see and know who I am in all He did for you.
No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God who is in the bosom of the Father, He has disclosed Him. John 1:18.
And My Word is a living Word. It actively goes to work when you speak it, read it, hear it, meditate on it, study it, and confess it in agreement with Me by faith, to give you life and healing in your spirit, your soul, and your body. For My Word is living and working actively, and My Word is sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Hebrews 4:12. It is more powerful and discerning than laser therapy or treatment. For My Word contains life, and the life was the Light of men. John 1:4.
My Words are life to those who find them and health and healing to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:22. They operate in your spirit, your soul, and your body producing life, health, and prosperity. And these things all bring joy.
Blessed and happy are those who do not walk in the ways of the wicked or sit with the scoffers, but take delight in My Words, which are Kingdom laws that bring the benefits of My Kingdom to earth. And happy are those who meditate, that is, think about My beautiful promises, day and night rather than the worries and anxieties that come from no trust in or knowledge of My Words (and of course, that means they do not know Me or My love either). But the one who gets to know Me and My promises, laws, and Names will be like a tree firmly planted by streams and whose roots have tapped into underground springs of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaves do not wither; and in whatever he does, he prospers. Psalm 1:1-3.
There is no joy or true prosperity in any other law than that of My Word. For My Word is the perfect law of liberty that sanctifies and sets you free. Only the light of My Word can open to you the life of beauty you seek.
David prayed that he could stay in My house and contemplate My beauty. Moses asked to see My glory. Philip told Jesus if he could but see Me that would be more than enough for him. John 14:8.
And what did Jesus answer: “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in Me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works. John 14:9-10.
When you see Jesus in action, you see My Word in action, and thus you see Me.
And what did you see? Joy. Pure unadulterated joy. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed of the devil. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions. Psalm 107:20.
Jesus, My Word, came to give good news to the afflicted, sight to the blind, heal the mute, the lame, and the sick, multiply provisions, stop storms, cast out demons, defeat the devil, raise the dead, set the captives and oppressed free, and take away all your sins as if they had never been. And that is My Word. He came to declare it was the time of Jubilee. And that gives nothing but joy unspeakable full of glory.
My Word is your Jubilee! Debts paid in full, lands returned, and all you lost restored better than before, and this is on spiritual, soul, and physical levels. Why would anyone reject My Word? It made you, saved you, forgave you and blessed you. In fact, the very first Words that mankind heard Me speak at the moment of creation was I blessed them.
And that has never stopped being My Will for your life. Jesus redeemed you from the curse so you might get back My blessing and the promise of the Spirit, My divine life in you, on you, and with you to raise you up to new life now and forever.
Whenever the kings of Israel and Judah left My Word to worship idols and walk in the ways of the ungodly, leading the people with them, their light went out, prosperity diminished, lawlessness increased and they could not defeat the enemy armies that would despoil My temple and take away even more of the riches that had been amassed in the days My Word was obeyed and honored.
For many years My Word was set aside and lost, but then a new king, Josiah, came in and reigned for thirty-one years and he had a heart for Me like David had and he began to seek Me. He tore down the altars to idols and began repairing My temple. And in this process Hilkiah the high priest found the scrolls with My Word and brought it to Josiah. And as they read it, it set Josiah’s heart on fire. So he sent and gathered all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem and went up to My house with all the men of Judah, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the priests, the Levites and all the people, from the greatest to the least. And there he read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant which was found in My house and he and all the people entered into Covenant again with Me. 2 Chronicles 34:1-33.
And Hilkiah the high priest had a son named Jeremiah and when his father found the Book of the Law, Jeremiah began to read and study it. And what did he write in the book you know as “Jeremiah?” “Your Words were found and I ate them, and Your Words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; for I have been called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts.” Jeremiah 15:16.
I had foreseen this from all eternity. I told Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5. When you love and honor My Word, when it is your joy, I can make you a prophet to the nations. I know those who are Mine, who have hearts towards Me. I see all and know all.
My Word is your food for transformation. You do not live on bread alone, it is necessary for your body but it does not feed your spirit and soul, only My Word feeds your spirit and soul to make you victorious and reigning in this life.
Before a caterpillar can go through metamorphosis and become a free and beautiful butterfly he has to eat so much that he sheds his skin five times (the number of grace) and then he can die to himself in his cocoon and the imaginary discs go to work to form the wings, the amazing eyes and the new parts of the butterfly.
A new creation comes forth and flies off to drink the nectar of flowers. The crawling caterpillar of dim vision becomes the beautiful new creation with eyes that see and wings that fly. And that is what being born again from the imperishable seed of My Word does for you. And the more of My Word you eat the more your spirit enlarges and you finally die to your old self with Christ and I raise you up in Him as a new creation and seat you with Him in Heaven even now.
All that by keeping My Word always before your eyes, in your hears, in your mouth, and, above all, in your heart.
If you want to know Me and all the delights at My right hand then there is only one place to begin, to continue, and to finish your race on earth and that is My Word.
And My Word is established forever in Heaven. It will always be My Word that sustains you.
I know how to speak a Word to the weary that will rouse them. I am the God of all comfort.
And how do you comfort people? By your words and the actions that back up those words. You have My Word and Jesus, My Word made flesh, came and backed up all I promised. In My Word are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Isn’t it time for you to begin the greatest adventure of your life? A treasure hunt in My Word and you will obtain it all. For if you seek, you will find.
I love you. There is life in My Word. My Words are not idle words, they are your very life. I watch over My Words to perform them, even in your mouth.
“You shall therefore impress these words of mine on your heart and on your soul; and you shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall teach them to your sons, talking of them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates, so that your days and the days of your sons may be multiplied on the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, as days of Heaven upon the earth.” Deuteronomy 11:18-21.
