That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection. Philippians 3:10
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Relationships make or break your life. The people you are close to direct where you go and how you think, talk, and set your goals. They can limit you so you never rise higher or spur you on to greater heights. They can imprison you or set you free. They can make your life ugly—one of abuse and fear, or they can make your life beautiful—one of encouragement and confidence.
Confidence is the result of relationship. And when you know Me, and I mean a close relationship in which you know My ways, thoughts, dreams, healing, provision, protection, direction, and above all My great and unwavering love for you, you will have confidence in every area of your life.
Courage has to do with going ahead in danger. Confidence is going forward never even seeing danger as a factor. If you know Me and are walking with Me, you know you have nothing and no one to fear. Knowing Me is eternal life. John 17:3.
Confidence is knowing that you can tread on the enemy and that you have the victory in Christ. And that is beyond courage. If you keep your eyes on Me, you will escape the fowler’s snare and I can make straight your paths.
David sang, “Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground.” Psalm 143:10.
Fear, doubt, and a possibility of defeat were not even factors taken into consideration by David when he faced the giant Goliath. David knew Me well and had spent hours in fellowship with Me while watching his father’s sheep in the fields of Bethlehem. My covenant with the Hebrew people fascinated him and gave him great confidence. He was standing firm in that covenant.
He stepped up to Goliath and answered his threats with no uncertainty as to the outcome. And he took him down with one small stone. And for you the stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone of your life.
And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God, you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For this is contained in Scripture: “Behold, I lay in Zion a choice stone, a precious corner stone, and he who believes in Him will not be disappointed.” This precious value, then, is for you who believe; but for those who disbelieve, “The stone which the builders rejected, this became the very corner stone, and, “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense. for they stumble because they are disobedient to the word, and to this doom they were also appointed. 1 Peter 2:4-9.
Disobedient to My Word means no relationship with Me, you have not connected and learned the great power, beauty and creativity contained in My Word.
Moses, Joshua, David, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and Paul all had this tremendous desire to know Me. And that is My desire for everyone. I stretch out My hands to you all the day long, I call you by name, My Son knocks at the door of your heart waiting for you to open so he can come in and dine with you, and you with him. And My Son defined eternal life for you as knowing Me, the one true God, and the One I sent, Jesus Christ. John 17:3.
And the prayers that Paul prayed for you by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit were all about knowing Me, knowing My love, and being filled up to capacity with My fullness. He prayed for you to have a spirit of wisdom and revelation so you would know Me, know your inheritance in Me, know the hope of your calling, and know the power I had put in you by My Spirit, which is the same power I used to raise Jesus from the dead.
How do you grow in your knowledge of Me? How do you get to know Me whom you cannot see? The same way you get to know anyone, by their words. No matter how much you see their outward appearance you only know them, that is, who they really are, by their thoughts and words. And they can only share their deepest thoughts with you by their words. You will not really get to know someone if they do not share the thoughts of their heart with you.
Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to Me except through Him. And He is My Word. No one knows Me who does not love My Word. In seeing Jesus, you see Me. You see Me in My Word. And who do you see? One who heals every ill and pain, embraces you, blesses you, provides for you, dies for you, forgives you, and lives for you. You see eternal life as a Person you can know, talk to, walk with, and abide in forever.
But knowing another in a way that bonds and grows is honoring each other’s words.
By this you know that you have come to know Me, if you keep My Words. My Words are commandments that keep your life pure and filled with goodness. In them are the benefits they promise. If you keep My Words you will have great peace in your heart, for there is no darkness in My Word.
The one who says that he has come to know Me and does not keep My Words, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps My Word, in him My love has truly been perfected. By this you know that you are in Me: you walk in the same manner as I walk. 1 John 2:4-6.
And how do I walk? In love. I think in love, I talk in love, I walk in love. I am love.
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for you, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. Ephesians 5:1-2.
I am pure. Love, the highest form of love which is the word “agape” in Greek and “chesed” in Hebrew, is pure, it has nothing to hide in darkness and seeks only the good of all. Love is stronger than death and Love is fully committed to the truth. And that is the way you come to know Me for who I really am, in the pure light of My love.
Immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among believers. These things defile you and make you feel dirty and dark. They keep you away from Me and focused on other things. If you have ever received an email with these things in them or heard another person speaking of impure and vile things it takes time for you to get your focus back in the spirit and off the dark undertow that you feel under these words of the evil one.
These are influences of the devil that you do not want entering your flesh to pull you into perversion.
There must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. Protect your heart, protect yourself. Guard and cultivate the inner garden of your heart so I can come and spend time with you there and you with Me. Your knowledge of Me grows in the purity of love. In the light.
Know that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in My kingdom, and so once were some of you, but you have been cleansed from sin by the Blood of Jesus and washed with water by the Word. Put your thoughts above where you are seated with Christ in glory.
This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. You are My friends if you do what I command you. No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends. You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of Me in Jesus’ Name, I will give to you. This I command you, that you love one another. John 15:12-17.
Jesus, who is the way to Me, explained how to come to Me by this new and living way. “He who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will disclose Myself to him.” John 14:21. And He goes on, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our abode with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me. John 14:23-24.
If you are serious about knowing Me and value that relationship, you must seek Me, you must seek My face, meaning My fellowship and input into your life and your sharing and your input into My life so that we become one in purpose and agreement. A oneness of mutual love and friendship where we each have deep honor and respect for the other.
Because you have loved Me, therefore I will deliver you. I will set you securely on high, because you know My name. And that is an accelerated way to know Me well, is by learning and meditating upon My covenant Names which all reveal My nature to you and make you partakers of that nature as I supply all that is promised in My Names to you. And if you have forgotten these, go back to our lesson on Step 9 of how to have joy.
And as you grow in your knowledge of Me, learn to draw that knowledge and relationship out of Me by calling upon Me and inquiring of Me throughout your day and night. When ou call I will answer. Psalm 91:15; Jeremiah 33:3. I am the living God and I hear you whenever you call or even whisper in your heart. And I answer. And that becomes confidence that I will always answer your needs, your questions, and your desires. There is no fear when you have the answer to whatever you are facing. For I am with you in trouble. I will rescue you and honor you. With long life I satisfy you, and I show you My Yeshuah (Salvation). Psalm 91:15-16.
Those who honor Me I honor.
Our relationship, your knowledge of Me, never stops building and growing because it is building upon the unfathomable riches of Christ. Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.
There is so much I want to show you and share with you as you are attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance (confidence) of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of My mystery, that is, Christ Himself, and all I have freely given you in Him, for in Him are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
There are many things you have to build up to understand. You begin by renewing your mind in My Word, the pure milk of My Word, so you may grow thereby. And you start with what is the entry into all the other blessings and treasures I have for you and that is receiving Jesus as your Lord by believing in your heart that in Him all your sins were taken off you and accounted to Him so that when He died to sin once for all that you died to sin with Him. And that when I raised Him from the dead with all your sins gone, I raised you up with Him and seated you with Him in the Spirit with Me in Heaven.
And the more you hear, see, and learn about, of, and in My Word the more and more like Me you become and your life becomes a joy to you and Me. I have great and constant joy. In My presence is fullness of joy. I anoint you with the oil of joy. Confidence of good is joy. My people are filled to overflowing with My goodness. When you know Me and the One I sent, Jesus Christ, your life becomes a joy and delight, not a burden. All the years of fears and tears are gone if you meet Me and enter into My flow of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! And the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; and You give them to drink of the river of Your delights. For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light. Psalm 36:7-9.
And this is knowing Me and living in My house for all the days of your life. And your life will never end.
And if you really want to know Me, I am spirit and the eternal part of you is spirit as well, you must meet Me in the Spirit. I am talking about praying and singing in tongues. This opens rivers on the bare heights and inundates you with living water. This will take you to new vistas of walking with Me.
And the more you are abiding in and with Me and I in and with you, you will find delight in all the works of My hands and you will see things in a new and precious light. You will find your heart rejoicing always before Me, rejoicing in the world, My earth that I made for you and have given you a part in because I have delight in the children of men, and especially in you.
I love you. Come with confidence to Me and go everywhere with confidence through Me. If you really know Me, you will know everything.
