Thus says the LORD, who makes a way through the sea and a path through the mighty waters. Isaiah 43:16.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
There is a lie of the devil that many surrender to and live as captives their entire lives on earth and it is this: “You are trapped in a hopeless situation and there is no way out.” But Jesus came to set the captives free and to be your hope. He is the Way.
If you only look at the flesh, that is, what you and others can do by your own power and intelligence, and at the circumstances you will easily believe that you have no way out. If you only have the temporal as your mindset there really is no hope in what looks impossible in the natural. But the good news is that with Me there are no limitations, all things are possible, and if you believe that I can deliver you out of anything and everything.
My servant Paul was often in impossible situations but I delivered him out of them all.
Now you followed my teaching, conduct, purpose, faith, patience, love, perseverance, persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium and at Lystra; what persecutions I endured, and out of them all the Lord rescued me! 2 Timothy 3:10-11.
The Israelites were trapped in cruel slavery, and Pharoah even ordered all the baby boys be murdered on birth so they could never have a strong army to rise up and rebel, and any way out of this oppressed situation seemed impossible. The Israelites had no weapons, no army, no money, and no freedom. They were trapped in labor and pain that had no gain or increase for them.
And you may feel like that at this moment as well.
But they remembered Me and cried out for deliverance from the injustice they were trapped in and I responded immediately. Down I came, got Moses on board, and the supernatural deliverance began.
I gave Pharoah the chance to repent and let My people go but he had hardened his heart to My invitation and preferred to take a stand of superiority and defiance against My search for justice for My people. So, through Moses and his staff and the Passover lamb, I took a whole nation down what was a great empire in the world’s eyes. In the natural, this great empire never should have been brought to its knees by one man with no weapons but a shepherd’s staff and the blood of an unblemished lamb, but in the supernatural all things are possible.
When you invite Me into the situation and join up with Me by faith then the impossible becomes possible—water turns into wine, blind eyes see, angels open prison gates, a shout of praise takes down massive city walls, enemy armies are taken down by praise songs, the lame walk, the deaf hear, the mute sing, bread multiplies, one jar with a little oil can fill a multitude of jars full and pay off your creditors, leprosy is cleansed, and the dead are raised to new life, just to name a few things that have all happened for I could tell you many more. As the apostle John wrote, if everything done by Jesus was written down there would not be enough books in the world to hold them. My ways are not your ways and My thoughts are higher than your thoughts, BUT by My Spirit I share them with you so that you can imitate Me as My dear children and think and talk just like Me. By Covenant, I have put My Words in your mouth and given you My Spirit.
And I took out My people from the slavery of Egypt rich and healed and it looked like a great deliverance, and it was, but the people soon stopped rejoicing and started saying I and Moses had failed them and the deliverance had not been successful.
Why? Because Pharoah repented of letting them go and got his charioteers to pursue them to take the Israelites back into the captivity of slavery. And I will tell you this. This is always the follow-up of Satan. When I bring about a miraculous delivery in your life, Satan will immediately respond by trying to pull you back into the same captivity again. Every healed person has to be prepared for this, at one point all the symptoms will try to attack again and take down your guard by fear. Just smile and call Me in to drown that one with you as well. I am referring to what I did with the delivered Israelites when the enemy returned.
As the Egyptians came in hot pursuit to capture My people into slavery a second time, I already had a plan in place since the foundation of the world.
They had no weapons with which to battle on land so I directed Moses to turn direction from the land route he was on and go the way of the Red Sea. Following Me he took the massive group of My people through a canyon to the shore of the deepest part of the Red Sea. I had a reason for this that was a military strategy.
The Israelites, just redeemed from an impossible situation, now found themselves in another. Behind them they now saw Pharoah’s great host of charioteers and before them they saw the Red Sea at a point it was impossible to cross. They went into panic and started their negative talk of death and impossibility and were actually blaming Me for bringing them out of the secure life of a slave to certain death.
But I told them to keep quiet and do what I told them through Moses. Moses did not know what I was doing at the moment, it did not look good, but he trusted Me after all the wonders I had performed through him with his staff in hand in Egypt. So I directed him to raise his staff and I would part the sea.
This was impossible in human terms. It had never happened before and it has never happened again. Your deliverance is tailored to your situation.
So Moses raised his staff and the molecules in the water moved close together and the water congealed until heaps of water rose and I cleaved a path through them right at the place where there was a large plateau under the waters upon which the Israelites could walk and bring their wagons of supplies. And My Spirit blew upon the face of the earth and they walked over on dry land. But they had to take the courage to trust Me and walk through with no water suddenly spilling over.
In the natural it had looked like there was no way out, but I saw the way I had prepared for them since the foundation of the world was formed. In Christ Jesus, I have prepared a way for you and a life of good deeds has already been put in place with all the provision already built into the plan. Do not fear, I see you, know the plans I have for you, and I am with you.
So My people crossed on dry land to the other side. This was a miracle for them but the Egyptians tried to use their miracle for their evil purposes and that can never be. My miracles are not for those who wish to destroy others or use them for their personal gain and others’ harm. The frame of time for My people expired when the last one crossed and I told Moses to close the way. He lifted his staff and the molecules unpacked to a liquid form and down went the walls and heaps of the water. And that entire Egyptian army the Israelites never saw again, just as I had told them when they were right behind them in hot pursuit.
Now flash ahead to a believing Shunamite woman to whom Elijah prophesied a desired child to be born to her and her husband, and he was. But as he was growing up the little boy died, you see Satan returns to steal your miracle, but the Shunamite refused to accept this for her son, and took off to get My prophet. He came and I worked the impossible and her little boy lived. There looked like no way out but not even death ends the story. All are alive for Me.
And flash ahead again, this time to when My people left Me for other gods and even filled My house with idols, and Babylon came in and burned My house and the holy city of Jerusalem to the ground. And they carried away My people captive to Babylon, leaving only a remnant of the poor behind. It all looked over and gone.
But in their captivity in a foreign land their hearts turned back to Me and their temple where I dwelt among them. I saw their hearts. And when seventy years of lost jubilees and shabbat years were fulfilled according to what I told My prophet Jeremiah, then the captives Daniel, Nehemiah, Ezra and others prayed for the impossible to happen and the impossible became possible.
They had no army, no funds equal the task, and no possibility of returning and rebuilding Jerusalem, let alone rebuilding the magnificent temple, but I saw a way that I had shared years before with My prophet Isaiah. A new king arose in Persia named Cyrus and I spoke to his heart and unlike Pharoah, he listened and obeyed.
He freed My people to return to Jerusalem and rebuild the temple. And he made a decree that his treasuries and people would fund the project. The impossible was possible.
And when I spoke to the heart of Nehemiah and he spoke in turn to My heart, and then the impossible happened and he obtained permission from a new king to return and rebuild the burned down walls of Jerusalem. And he and the people who went up with him and who were already there from the first wave of returning Judahites did rebuild them right in the face of many enemies. The impossible was possible.
And fast forward to the night a baby was born in a manger in Bethlehem who came to grow up and walk among you in order to crush the head of Satan and set you free from the slavery to sin and death and lead you to the promised land of My Kingdom. Yes, your Messiah and Lord, My Son Jesus, Yeshuah. Salvation. My gift to you to do the impossible that no other could do. And I was in Him to reconcile you to Myself.
And look ahead and you will see people with illnesses and disabilities, lepers, blind, possessed, crippled, bleeding internally, and many other oppressed by the devil lying helpless and weak and then Jesus came by and preached My Word, and they heard, and they were healed. They had found the way out where there seemed no way out.
And you will find a man lying thirty-eight years sick and disabled by the pool of Bethesda to whom it seemed impossible to ever walk and be healthy again. And in walked Jesus and the impossible became possible.
And a man named Jairus, the synagogue leader in Capernaum, who had faith in Jesus, had a dying daughter of twelve years old, who died while Jesus was on the way to his home, but he did not give up and he refused to fear and only believed and the impossible became possible and Jesus took her by the hand and she was made alive and whole.
And there was a woman by a well who was trapped in a life where she searched for love and acceptance and had already had five husbands and was living with a man at that time to whom she was not married, and to it seemed there was no way out, no permanent relationship, but Jesus came by and gave her a taste of living water and she ran and brought the whole town to drink of that water so they too would find love and never thirst again.
And the impossible became possible to all who came to Jesus to be healed and not one who came was turned away without a miracle.
And when Jesus died a painful death upon the cross to the disciples all seemed lost and over. The circumstances made them give up hope in what Jesus told them would happen three days later.
After seeing Him die and placed in the tomb and also the fear of their imprisonment for following Him made all look impossible. But suddenly Jesus walked through the locked doors and stood before them radiant and beautiful saying “shalom.” And all was well. The impossible was possible.
And it did not and has not stopped there. Peter and John outside the beautiful gate of the temple looked at a beggar lying there who had never walked being crippled from birth and there seemed no way out for him. But Peter and John saw the way and it was a Person they knew who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and He had given them the authority to use His Name and His faith and they used it and the impossible became possible. The man leapt up and jumping and dancing went into the temple to thank Me.
And when Peter was thrown in prison and sentenced to death with soldiers and guards all about him and chains holding him down it looked like there was no way out. But there was. The church prayed and I sent My angel and off fell the chains, the gates flung open before him and out came Peter. I had made a way where there was no way. And I have not changed.
And it did not stop there. It just got bigger and bigger as more followers learned from My Word shared by My followers and they too began to cast out demons in My Name, heal the sick, and raise the dead and turn what looked impossible to possible.
How about you? What seems impossible in your life right now? You may be in a situation now where you are trapped and captive now with what you see as beyond your control. It could be a “terminal” disease and you have been given only a matter of months to live. You may feel trapped in a life where others have put you into service for them without you really wanting to be there. This could be an aged parent, a spouse, or a family member or even a child. Or it could be a job that you took, though it is not your calling, because you feel you have to have the money or think your life in your older years is dependent on the retirement benefits and you have not vested in them yet.
It could be a mountain of debt and you are on the verge of losing all. It could be a relationship, an addiction, a grief over a loved one who has died or is ill, it could be depression.
There are many ways the devil can oppress you and make it look hopeless to ever come out from under what you are in, whether you dug the pit or someone else did.
But I have good news for you. You do have a Way to green pastures and restful waters and the life you were born to live. It is time you saw the Way that you have not seen before.
When in the wilderness Moses cried out to Me that the burden of caring for and governing over two million strife-filled individuals was more than he could bear, asking Me to just end his life, I gave him helpers, responsible men, heads of tribes to sit as judges and teachers over smaller numbers of the people so that all needs were taken care of.
And I told the new generation of Israelites after their forty years in the desert that they had dwelt at the same mountain long enough and it was time to turn and set their journey to go in and take possession of the land I had sworn to give them since the time of Abraham.
Maybe it is time for you to quit going around the same mountain that you have never moved and turn to go another way to journey to take possession of the life I have prepared for you.
And you who feel you cannot move that mountain or change your direction out of your captivity, I have a word for you:
No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape (ekbasis:the successful way out to a better destination) also, so that you will have the power (dunamai, verb form of dunamis) to endure (hupopheró: to carry under, to endure because carried safely away from danger) it. 1 Corinthians 10:13.
Know that I will never allow you to be tempted beyond what you have the power to withstand. I fill your days with good things if you expect and watch for them and I will provide a successful way out to you. And I only take you out to take you into somewhere better and more in keeping with your gifts. And how do you find that way of escape? Not in whining, grumbling, complaining, begging, and blaming and certainly not in fear and despair. Job explained that what he feared came upon him, so be careful about what you are drawing in.
“For what I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me. I am not at ease, nor am I quiet, and I am not at rest, but turmoil comes.” Job 3:25-26.
And Job gave himself a very rough time until Elihu and I showed up and instructed him in how to find the way out.
He opens their ear to instruction, and commands that they return from evil. If they hear and serve Him, they will end their days in prosperity and their years in pleasures. But if they do not hear, they shall perish by the sword and they will die without knowledge. Job 36:10-11.
And now I will share with you the fastest and best way to make the impossible possible and to escape out of the darkest of trials. It is the voice of thanksgiving. The PRAISE cure. It opens a way where there is no way.
In the darkness of the cave where he hid from Saul, David seemed to be trapped in a hopeless situation, “They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down; they dug a pit before me.” Psalm 57:6. So what did he do? Give up? Oh no! He put in the key of David that opens a door no man can shut, “My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises! Awake, my glory! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to You among the nations.” Psalm 57:7-9.
And you know the result. I made a way out, I took care of Saul and all his line, and cleared out every enemy of David. And David soon was reigning over all Israel and Judah. And he did not ever stop singing and praising, even going so far as to establish 24/7 worship songs before Me with 288 Levites taking turns, one group for every hour to sing My songs in My house.
And a descendant of David’s who sat upon the throne many years later named Jehoshaphat had the key as well. When three enemy armies joined together and advanced against Judah and Jerusalem, it looked like there were trapped with no way out. He feared at first but he did not surrender. He called all the people to come to My temple and cast the care on Me. He did not know what to do but he put his eyes on Me. And when a prophet from the tribe of Levi, a descendant of the singer Asaph rose up and gave them My Word that I would fight for them they just had to go out to face the enemy. They did not doubt that the impossible would happen, Jehoshaphat and all the people threw themselves face down on the ground and with LOUD voices praised Me and shouted for joy and then they rose up and with the singers sang My praises. And the next day they rose early and decided to march out to the enemy singing My praises, “Give thanks to the LORD for He is good, His love is everlasting, His love is everlasting.” And the moment they began singing, I went to work and the enemy armies turned upon one another and killed on another and by the time the people of Judah got to the look out, they saw every one in the enemy armies was lying dead upon the ground. It was like a nuclear bomb of praise against the enemy.
And anyone can do this, even a baby. “Out of the mouths of infants and babies, I have perfected praise as strength to make the enemy and the revengeful cease.” Psalm 8:2. And I not only took the enemy down, I also gave all the treasures they had brought with them that were in their tents to My people and it took them three days to gather up all the spoils of victory. And they never stopped singing and praising. And before that valley had been named the valley of Achor (trouble) but they changed its name to the valley of Beracah (Blessing). You can turn your valley of trouble into a valley of blessing if you will just sing praise and thanksgiving there when all looks hopeless and lost. In the valley of trouble it will open the door of hope, and from there I will lead you to prosperity and a whole new level of walking in intimacy with Me. Hosea 2:15.
And Paul and Silas knew the way out of a hopeless situation where they seemed to be imprisoned and captive. In the inner prison cell in Philippi where they had been thrown for their preaching and casting out devils, chained and in pain, they put in the Key of David. Yes, at the darkest hour, at midnight, they were singing hymns and praise songs to Me and the prisoners were all listening. They were singing loud. And suddenly the earth quaked, the chains fell off every prisoner, and the prison gates swung open. The jailer thought he had lost all and would be put to death and there looked like no way out, but Paul called out to him that all the prisoners were still there. No one left they wanted to keep singing praises. So the jailer joined in the awakening too and he and all his household members got saved and celebrated. And so the church of Philippi was born in praise and all had a great deliverance. Praise set the captives free.
And what did Paul then advise you by the inspiration of My Spirit?
“Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to yourself and one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord; always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father.” Ephesians 5:15-20.
And I could share many more such incidents in My Word where praise and thanksgiving turned a hopeless situation into a amazing miracle of grace.
My prophet Habakkuk shared with you what to do when you are trapped with what seems like no way out:
Though the fig tree should not blossom and there be no fruit on the vines, though the yield of the olive should fail and the fields produce no food, though the flock should be cut off from the fold and there be no cattle in the stalls, yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord (Adonai) LORD (Yahweh) is my strength, and He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, and makes me walk on my high places. For the choir director, on my stringed instruments. Habakkuk 3:17-19.
I love you. I make a way where there is no way, because actually I had the way all prepared in advance, you just could not see it until you ran upon your high places with hinds’ feet with the voice of thanksgiving and praise. The voice of thanksgiving brings wonders. Call upon Me in praise and you are saved from your enemies. Psalm 18:3.
