Pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Prayer is the lifeline by which we connect. It is the way I pour My life into you. It is the only way that we have a relationship where we know each other. When you cut off communication with someone you cut off connection with them. You are no longer inputting into each other’s lives.

If you are not letting My life flow into you, which is resurrection life, you will not have renewal of youth. And when you put up a hindrance to that flow you do not receive the fullness of redemption. And hindrances to the prayer flow are unforgiveness, bitter roots, self-condemnation, anger, jealousy, depression, hate, not knowing who you are in Christ, and a spirit of fear, which can be expressed as worry and anxiety.

Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions. Mark 11:26.

But more about these at another time. For now let us just address prayer without ceasing. For if you are in a relationship with Me through true prayer, the hindrances will be cleared out in the flow as you let them go when you see them in My light. Prayer is fellowship but it is also receiving instruction, correction, direction, protection, and perfection in that fellowship that lifts you higher and higher to become transformed (metamorphosis) in the renewing of your mind.

You cannot live with and spend your time with someone without being pulled into their flow. So be careful who you are living with and conversing with, from evil influence distance yourself and do not communicate more than absolutely necessary. Never let yourself get trapped in a negative, fearful, unbelieving, angry, worldly, judgmental, or evil flow. These move in the flesh and not in the spirit.

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:15-17.

Prayer is combined with knowing My written Word for to be sure you are hearing from My Spirit requires knowledge of Me from My Word. Not every thought that enters your head is from Me. You must learn to recognize My voice and discern how it comes up from within you so that you are able to discern the voice of unclean spirits which come into you from without.

To read My Word as literature but to have no connection with the Word as speaking to you personally will not benefit you. You have to know My Word as a living Word communicating My life and doing a work in you.

When you walk about, they will guide you; when you sleep, they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will talk to you. For the commandment is a lamp and the teaching is light. Proverbs 6:22-23.

I tell you to pray without ceasing. This is not a suggestion; I tell you it is My Will for you in Christ Jesus. So for those who are saying My Will is mysterious and hard to know, this is very concrete.

But you may be wondering how you can pray without ceasing if you have a very busy day in the world with many responsibilities and assignments.

Prayer without ceasing means a continuous flow of input giving direction, fellowship, and correction from Me to you as you walk through your busy day with the eyes and ears of your heart attentive to Me. It means you are mindful of Me in all your ways for you have found Me always mindful of you. When you call on Me, I answer you and tell you things you could not know on your own by your flesh alone.

PRAYER WITHOUT CEASING MEANS YOU NEVER WALK ALONE.

In constant conversing in the secret place of your heart while you are in the world but not of the world means you never go anywhere or do anything without Me there with you.

Jacob’s son Joseph was sold to a group of Ishmaelites who took him and sold him as a slave in Egypt but Joseph even though it looked like it in the natural, Joseph did not go there alone. And once there he was never alone. From slavery, to prison , to the palace ruling Egypt as second in command to Pharaoh, Joseph never walked alone. And it made his life prosper wherever he was.

Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt; and Potiphar, an Egyptian officer of Pharaoh, the captain of the bodyguard, bought him from the Ishmaelites, who had taken him down there. The LORD was with Joseph, so he became a prosperous and successful man. Genesis 39:1-2.

And that he kept in constant communion with Me showed in his life and made people favor him, from Potiphar:

Now his master saw that the LORD was with him and how the LORD caused all that he did to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight and became his personal servant; and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he owned he put in his charge. Genesis 39:3-4.

To the chief jailer when Joseph was unjustly put in prison:

But the LORD was with Joseph and extended kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the chief jailer. The chief jailer committed to Joseph’s charge all the prisoners who were in the jail; so that whatever was done there, he was responsible for it. The chief jailer did not supervise anything under Joseph’s charge because the LORD was with him; and whatever he did, the LORD made to prosper. Genesis 39:21-23.

To Pharaoh himself:

Then Pharaoh said to his servants, “Can we find a man like this, in whom is a divine spirit?” So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has informed you of all this, there is no one so discerning and wise as you are. You shall be over my house, and according to your command all my people shall do homage; only in the throne I will be greater than you.” Pharaoh said to Joseph, “See, I have set you over all the land of Egypt.” Genesis 41:38-41.

And Joseph was always conscious of My presence. When Potiphar’s wife tried to make him sin with her, Joseph replied he could not do that sin before Me.

David also was a man of unceasing prayer. He explained, “I have set the LORD continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 16:8.

David said I was always present as his helper and so I was.

Then David put garrisons among the Arameans of Damascus, and the Arameans became servants to David, bringing tribute. And the LORD helped David wherever he went. 2 Samuel 8:6.

David never went into battle without consulting Me first of whether he should battle, whether he would win, and what the strategy was. And if you will note, when you consult Me, I respond, and David followed My directives and never lost a battle. And he was never injured in a battle either.

And I am with you in an even closer and more intimate way than I was with Joseph and David, for you have Christ in you, your hope of glory, and you have the Holy Spirit in you. David had the Holy Spirit on him but not in him and Christ had not died yet when David lived upon the earth.

You can access Me all the time right in your heart.

We meet in conversation. Let your conversation be in Heaven.

Jesus gave you a good description of how you can approach prayer:

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

When you draw close to Me, I draw close to you. Come with confidence to find rest, restoration, and rejuvenation. In prayer is where renewal of youth flows into you.

Psalm 23 is a good description of unceasing prayer and keeping your eyes on Jesus as He leads you to green pastures and healing waters of peace, and then is with you through the dark valley of the shadow of death, giving you perfect protection, and then on to a banquet of plenty and your receiving the anointing and an overflowing cup as He leads you into My house and the delights therein forever. And such is prayer.

Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2.

I love you . Be devoted to prayer. Romans 12:12. It will constantly revive you, renew you, restore you, and bring you through every dark valley to the joys of My house forever. Unceasing prayer is a most wonderful way to live and it will bring you safely to eternity, fruitful, joyful, and fully satisfied with a long life well lived.

Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
