For You are my hope; O Lord LORD, You are my confidence from my youth. Psalm 71:5.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

If you want to keep yourself from going down under storms and worry, if you want to protect your heart and your mind from despair and tormenting thoughts that take you down under the storm, you must take hold of your mind and put your confidence in Me to deliver you, but not only deliver you, but to vindicate and honor you!

“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name. He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him and let him see My salvation.” Psalm 91:14-16.

Confidence in Me is confidence in My Word. I am My Word and it is truth, but if you do not know what I promised you, how can you have confidence in times of trouble that I will make all things work out for your good? You cannot.

“Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; and do not feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; but you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. For your husband is your Maker, whose name is the LORD of hosts; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, who is called the God of all the earth. Isaiah 54:4-5.

Keep your eyes on Jesus when the storm hits, for He is the author and perfecter of your faith. But how can you keep your eyes on Jesus today when He is no longer on the earth in physical form? You keep them on My Word, for He is My Word become flesh.

This may be easy enough when all is going well, but when the storm hits, and it will, sometimes multiple times in one day depending how you respond to it, it will not be so easy to keep your mind fixed on Me and quiet, that is, resisting the worry and refusing to take the care. But if you give in to that agitation by letting the storm into you, it will turn your life into hell. How? By tormenting your mind and thus tormenting you with fearful thoughts of certain failure, defeat, shame, and blame.

When I tell you to cast ALL your cares on Me because I care for you, I do not just mean the little things you do not feel threatened by, but the earth shaking things that make a burden too heavy for you to carry that constantly have the presence of tears behind your eyes, and if you let it, will run rampant in every area of your life.

So what do you do when the storm hits? You must first of all be ready and equipped.

“If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:31-32.

You must build your life on My Word and be firmly established in it. And you must take control of your mind, that is, of what you permit yourself to think upon.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and does them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.” Matthew 7:24-27.

When what looks like a horrible problem arises and there seems to be no way you could either give up, give in, and go under. You have to silence your mind and answer that torment with the truth of My Word. That is being a doer of My Word and not just a hearer. You can hear and hear My Words but if you do not do them, if you are not serious about this, you will go from one trauma to another, from one torment to another, you will be under the spirit of fear and trying to hide what you have done that got you in the problem from others. You will have “butterflies” in your stomach and no rest. You cannot get away from the bombarding onslaught that fills you with dread and anticipation of failure.

And this is no way for a believer to live.

Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught. Proverbs 3:25.

Read that again. DO NOT BE AFRAID OF SUDDEN FEAR. What are you afraid of? The attack of the unclean spirit of fear, a spirit which I did not give you and so you must give it no place in you. I am your confidence, having the Most High on your side gives you confidence in Me, not in yourself, but knowing I am the one fighting for you and keeping your foot from being caught in the snares of the devil.

And that is key, you must not let yourself be afraid of fear, you must repel it with your shield of faith and keep it out of your heart with the breastplate of righteousness and take up the sword of the Spirit, which is My Word, through all prayer and petition.

“In righteousness you will be established; you will be far from oppression, for you will not fear; and from terror, for it will not come near you. If anyone fiercely assails you it will not be from Me. Whoever assails you will fall because of you. Isaiah 54:14-15.

You must guard your heart and keep yourself in joy, My joy, and that is your strength against the onslaught of the wicked. When I am for you who can be against you?

“I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of man who dies and of the son of man who is made like grass, that you have forgotten the LORD your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth, that you fear continually all day long because of the fury of the oppressor, as he makes ready to destroy? But where is the fury of the oppressor? The one in chains will soon be set free, and will not die in the dungeon, nor will his bread be lacking. For I am the LORD your God, who stirs up the sea and its waves roar (the LORD of hosts is His name). I have put My words in your mouth and have covered you with the shadow of My hand, to plant the heavens, to found the earth, and to say to Zion, ‘You are My people.’” Isaiah 51:12-16.

And there you see your answer. I am greater than any oppressor, than anyone or anything that comes against you. I have made you more than a conqueror over any attack of the destroyer. How? “I have put MY Words in YOUR mouth and covered you with the shadow of My hand.” You must take down the destroyer with the testimony of you speaking My Words of power and My hand will reach out to perform them as you speak them out with faith to whatever has attacked you—whether it be your fault or another’s. I watch over My Word to perform it.

“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment YOU will condemn and prove false. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication and righteousness is from Me,” declares the LORD. Isaiah 54:17.

Condemn those thoughts that trouble you and declare the victory of everything working together for good, no matter how hopeless you think it looks.

You can put your confidence in Me performing all I have promised and in that you can rejoice. Never draw back. The righteous live by faith and if you draw back you deprive Me of the joy of performing a miracle in your life. Do not throw aside your confidence in Me, it has great reward in this life and the next.

And the work of righteousness will be peace, and the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever. Isaiah

It is time you stopped behaving like babies and unstable, double minded people. You will have to take hold of your thoughts and tune them to My Word.

And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:11-12.

Stop running and start standing. Stop retreating from the enemy and enforce the victory Christ already won for you. Stop cowering when you could be overpowering.

And it all comes down whether you choose to rejoice or to cry in remorse. The rejoicing is much more appropriate to who I have made you to be in Christ Jesus. For I have sealed you in Him and made Him to be wisdom unto you, and righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. And that is all what I have freely given you in Jesus. I have made you more than a conqueror. It is time you used all My armor with which I have equipped you and took down those worried thoughts, shame, remorse, blame, and hiding of the truth. It is time to rise from the dust and shake off the chains. I have given you the Blood of Jesus and the Word for you to use as your testimony next time the devil attacks. And he will the more you grow in the Word. But come in complete confidence to My throne of grace and find just what you need to always rejoice.

Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16.

I love you. Never give in, never give up, and never quit. I am your confidence.

In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence, and his children will have refuge. Proverbs 14:26.
