Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and delight yourself in abundance. Isaiah 55:2.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Eat up the good. Spit out the bad. That is the best lesson you ever had. And it will solve your mental, emotional, and physical problems.
Too many of you are feeding on what is not good and it is ruining your life and the lives of those upon whom you have influence. For what you are feeding to your mind becomes who you are. And you are either eating the bread from Heaven or the devil’s food.
On your belly you will go, and dust (aphar (עָפָר): dry earth, dust) you will eat all the days of your life. Genesis 3:14.
My Words come down out of Heaven, the devil’s words come up out of the dirt. Snakes die at high altitudes; their medium is crawling in the dirt.
And just as in the physical, so too in the mental and emotional arena, what you are eating shows. It cannot remain hidden. For the mouth speaks what is filling your mind.
If you have filled your mind with anger, hatred, bitterness and resentment, you can only hide it so long and then it will spill over like venom on those who are around you and close to you. You will be gossiping, judging, speaking with malice, lashing out in harsh words of anger, and talking about others behind their backs and ruining their reputations.
Pursue peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled. Hebrews 12:14-15.
My Son called this a form of murder. The one who hates his brother is a murderer in his heart.
Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. 1 John 3:15.
You cannot eat the good and the bad and live a prosperous, healthy life. I told Adam and Eve that from the beginning and you know what it did to them, and through them to all of you who are their descendants according to the flesh. It matters what you eat.
Then the LORD God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and guard it. The LORD God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die the death.” Genesis 2:15-17.
The devil tries to present his dirt to the world as “good” and the good of My Word as evil. He did that to the first man and woman and it worked on them so he has never stopped using that same tactic, I do not want you to be unaware of it. You must eat only the good and spit out the bad if you want days of Heaven upon the earth.
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20.
Why would you want to scavenge and eat off a garbage dump when you could be seated in the banquet hall of the King, eating the best fare at His table, with His banner over you of love?
In His shade I took great delight and sat down, and His fruit was sweet to my taste. He has brought me to His banquet hall, and His banner over me is love. Song of Songs 2:3-4.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Psalm 23:5.
And what is that table set with? My Word. You cannot live on physical bread alone and prosper in all of your being, for you are spirit, soul, and body. Your soul is made up of your mind, your will and your emotions and that is where the battle is taking place between your spirit and your flesh and it all depends on which takes the control of your thoughts. If you are led by your flesh, the voice of your flesh is your emotions, your feelings, and whatever input you get from your five physical senses. The flesh tends to be lazy, sluggish, fearful, doubtful, gluttonous, seeks self-glorification, and tries to grab all it can that would fill it up now because it is headed for death. It is also the place of the mental arena, by which I mean trying to analyze and make determinations with your own mind with no input from Me. If you give in to your flesh, which most people do, you will not live a good life.
You see that difference in the life of Samson compared to the life of Samuel, though they both had miraculous births and divine assignments. Samuel loved and lived by My Word and Samson loved and lived by his flesh. Samuel had a long fruitful life as a prophet, priest, and judge filled with goodness, honor, and authority. Samson had a life filled with lust, betrayal, defeat, capture by the enemy as a slave, blinded eyes, and an untimely death. It makes a difference upon what you feed your mind. Eat up the good and spit out the bad.
Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Galatians 5:19-24.
When you take Christ as Lord and are baptized into His death, you die to sin, and are raised up with Him in newness of life. Your spirit becomes alive to Me and you receive new life, My abundant life, into your spirit as I pour My love into your heart by the gift of the Holy Spirit.
You have that in you, so that you who have declared My Son as Lord can put your mind above where you are seated with Christ at My right hand and take your focus and attention off the dark things of the earth that would pull you into depression, grief, fear, remorse, shame, guilt, lust, evil intentions, jealousy, anxiety and the like. You can spit those out of your mouth as you would bad tasting food.
For the ear tests words as the palate tastes food. Job 34:3.
Taste and see My goodness, My Words are sweeter than honey dripping from the comb and more precious to you than thousands of gold and silver pieces. Why? My Words are life to those who find them and health (like medicine) to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:22. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions, from every pit you find yourself in.
My Words are Spirit and life, they are Words that contain eternal life. My Word is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path. The revelation of My Word gives light and understanding.
Why would you want to fill your mind by feeding on words of death when you can fill your mind with words of life? Words of death are words of the flesh, that is, the mind set on death, for your flesh is headed to the grave but your spirit and soul are not, they are eternal.
Then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:7.
When I speak of the flesh I do not mean just your physical body, I mean a mindset. There are people that have rejected My Word and operate only in the mental and physical arena in the sense that all is determined by man and there is no other source for the things you need or acquire. It is all on you. All man and no god. They talk about survival of the fittest and evolution, putting man on the level of an animal with no spirit, only a soul and a body and not in My image.
And yet even those they who reject or just do not have knowledge of Me, know there is something more, but they invent idols to whom they attribute behavior that is very much according to the flesh or some force in the universe that has power but still has some sort of human attributes.
But the bottom line and the final say is look at the fruit of people’s lives. You will know them by their fruit. And if you see a person glowing with a radiant face, bright eyes, and a generous heart you will know they are one of Mine. What are the marks of a believer? They have opened up the wells of eternal life within and have become a new creation that is being transformed, by the renewing of the mind, into one who walks in the flow of Heaven with My image shining in them. And I am love. What does love look like? I have told you very clearly:
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered, does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
And that shows a mind that is being fed the good and is spitting out the bad. And you will speak what is filling your mind.
Spend more time in My Word and at My banquet table and you will become more and more like Me, until, like Jesus, in seeing you people will see Me in action because our wills will be one. And that is a life of total peace and joy. For that is My kind of life. I think in love, talk in love and walk in love, everything else is foreign to Me and is rejected out of Me before it even enters. Imitate Me as My beloved children and walk in love. Like Jesus. It is the only way to live the life that I want for you. All good and no bad. The bad is around until the devil’s time is up but it does not have to be eaten up by you. Discern what you are allowing your mind to dwell upon.
By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 1 John 4:9.
You will know right away when you are feeding on something that is bad. You will be getting a taste of hell and not of Heaven. It will torment you.
After Adam and Eve partook of the devil’s lies and ate the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, the evil took hold and threw them into fear and all they saw was lack and the glory no longer clothed them. They were out of the spirit and down to the flesh and experienced and saw nothing but flesh. You will know when you have been feeding on evil thoughts. And the result is never beautiful.
But remember the One Solution? Let Me change all that and clothe you in the garments of Salvation and the robe of righteousness. I will beautify the afflicted with Salvation.
Let them praise His name with dancing; let them sing praises to Him with timbrel and lyre. For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with Salvation (Yeshuah). Psalm 149:3-4.
Come to Me, let us reason together, let Me make you beautiful by sharing with you My beautiful thoughts.
His mouth is all sweetness. He is altogether lovely. This is my Beloved and this is my Friend, O daughters of Jerusalem. Song of Songs 5:16.
You have a book full of My Words. And today the Bible is easily accessible whether it be on your phone, computer, TV, radio, hard copy or kindle. And if you would rather listen to My Word there are online audio Bibles.
“Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are as scarlet, they will be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool. If you are willing and obey, you will eat the good of the land; but if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” Truly, the mouth of the LORD has spoken. Isaiah 1:18-20.
And that is the question, are you willing to obey and control your mind so you eat up My good Words day and night and spit out the bad that does not line up with My Word? Are you willing to have no anxiety about anything but bring ALL your cares to Me in prayer and petition and know that I am taking care of them as you watch in love, speak My Words that have the result you need, and keep your mind and words on My good words and off everything that would cause you torment, doubt, and the like?
Death and life are in the hand of your tongue, and it all depends on which sword you are taking up, the sword of the Spirit, which is My Word, or the sword of rebellion which is that of the devil. One will set you free to life and peace and the other will trap you into the slavery of sin and death. You will eat the fruit of your lips, and so will those around you, make sure it is the fruit of the Spirit if you want to grow thereby to a heavenly life.
Let the godly ones exult in glory; let them sing for joy on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand. Psalm 149:5-6.
Cast all your cares on Me and rejoice in the wonders that are coming. Don’t worry in the night on your bed, instead sing for joy with high praise unto Me for the glorious outcome that is soon to be. And keep that two-edged sword in the hand of your tongue to answer any thoughts shot into your mind by the devil. And the word in Hebrew translated “two-edged” sword, and the same in Greek in the New Testament, literally is a “two-mouthed” sword. Two witnesses, My Word in your mouth. The Holy Spirit witnesses with your spirit. And He will guide you to all truth. My Word is truth. The Holy Spirit will tell you what to say and you must witness as well.
I love you. Eat up the good and spit out the bad and this is the best lesson you ever had. If only Adam and Eve had paid attention their prosperity would have been like a river that never ran out. But instead they chose to eat the dust, the dry earth, with the devil.
Your Words were found and I ate them, and Your Words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; for I have been called by Your name, O LORD God of hosts. Jeremiah 15:16.
