And they sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, “Great and marvelous are Your works, O Lord God, the Almighty; righteous and true are Your ways, King of the nations! Revelation 15:3.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Why did the people I redeemed from the slavery of Egypt by such great signs and wonders never have the faith to enter into My rest? Why did they never believe that I was on their side and they could trust Me to work wonders for them such as no one had ever seen because they were in Covenant with Me? Why did they question My goodness?
It is because they saw My works but they never learned My ways.
Today, if you would hear His voice, do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness, “When your fathers tested Me, they tried Me, though they had seen My work. For forty years I was grieved with that generation, and said they are a people who err in their heart, and they do not know My ways. Therefore I swore in My anger, truly they shall not enter into My rest.” Psalm 95:7-11.
This is serious, they lost all the wonderful and precious things I had set aside just for them because they did not know My ways.
The one who only looks to Me for works is an observer and is not sure whether I will do them consistently or not. The one who gets close to Me and learns and understands My ways is a disciple.
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” John 8:31-32.
A disciple abides and trusts because he has learned My ways and knows who I AM. An observer remains aloof and demands proof because he does not trust one he does not know. And may I add, has no intention of getting to know Me either. Like the Pharisees with Jesus. And like the people I redeemed from slavery when I invited them all to participate in knowing Me, the LORD, when I descended before them on Mt. Sinai to make covenant with them. Instead they opted out to go pursue their own lusts while they left Moses to talk with Me and to relay what I had told him to them.
They saw My marvelous deeds to rescue them from slavery and take them to the freedom and abundance of the land I promised to give to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, but they refused to enter and take what I had already freely given them. Why? Doubt and unbelief and the only cure for doubt and unbelief about anyone or anything is to know the way they work.
It is time you learned My ways and worked with Me instead of against Me. Before you can go forward and walk in step with them you have to know and trust their ways.
Make me know Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I wait all the day. Psalm 25:4-5.
Works are outer but ways are inner, of the heart. They are the designs of My heart, and the designs of My heart are forever. If you know someone’s ways you will know how they work and just what they will do.
But the plan of the LORD stands forever, the designs of his heart through all generations. Psalm 33:11.
I am the same yesterday, today and forever. I AM. I AM the One who is, who was, and who is to come. My plans and My Ways never change. And I tell you many times what My ways are: lovingkindness and truth. Chesed ve emet in the Hebrew language in which the Old Testament was written. Chesed means unconditional love that would put itself in danger of death to save the other person and emet means both truth and faithfulness. I am faithful. Each morning My mercies are new and I never leave you or forsake you.
Know that I am with you always. And that is one of My ways, make it your way too. Be with Me always, night and day, letting Me take care of the order of your day and showing you how to do everything you desire with Me.
When the Jewish leaders had a problem trusting in Jesus as their promised Messiah, He told them to at least believe because of the great works He did. What did He do? He went about doing good and healing all those oppressed of the devil.
Your works reveal your ways. People can figure out another’s ways if they live around them long enough. And that is what the devil does about you, he watches and waits seeing how you operate as he waits to make a move and take all the pieces of your life.
You know people by their fruit, just as you do a tree or a vine. Well, any seed you plant, if you did not recognize it before, you will know the plans and ways that are in that seed’s cells by what it produces.
You cannot speak and do good when you are filled with evil. Your ways are in your heart and your works come from the abundance of what is in your heart.
I am love so My works are done in and produce love. I am light so My works are done in and produce light.
You really cannot do the works I do with Me unless you spend time with Me in My Word to know My ways, then I can send you out to share who I am with others and signs, wonders and miracles follow My Word as you preach, teach, share, and witness to others.
And He appointed twelve, so that they would be with Him and that He could send them out to preach. Mark 3:14.
When you know who I am, you know what I will do. You can trust love never to harm you and you can trust light to lead you and guide you to all that is love and light.
It is one thing to see what someone or something does, it is another thing to know how it is produced. When you know that, then you know how you can do it too. For example, think of electricity. You see what it does, such as turning on a light in your house in the dark of the night, or cooking something on your electric stove top or oven, but if you do not know how it works you cannot produce it. An electrical engineer or electrician knows how to set it up and produce the power though it is not from the power of the engineer or electrician but they know how it works. You have to know the tricks of the trade so to speak.
The best worker is the one that knows how what they are doing works. A farmer knows the ways of seeds and has to work in accordance with those ways, otherwise he will not have a harvest.
The best agent acting under a power of attorney for the principal is one that knows the ways of the principal, one that will do exactly as his principal would do in any given situation.
If you want the results that I get, such as healing, joy, prosperity, and shalom peace, you will have to know My ways and walk in them with Me. And I am very willing to teach you to profit and the way you should go. And it is all in My Word. I teach you and lead you and guide you and bless you by My Word. My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. My Word is a light to your path and a lamp to your feet.
If you know Me and My ways you will never sin, worry, go astray, or wander in confusion. Why? You will enter My rest of perfect trust and knowing of one another. You trust Me and I trust you and together with Me, your life becomes a joy of knowing rest that all things you need you can just ask Me and receive the answer. When you understand and operate with Me in My ways doubt is driven out. There is no room for it when you know the one you are living with.
Jesus told those who followed Him that if they wanted the results He got they must do as He had done.
In the life of My prophet Zechariah there is an incident I would like you to note.
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. The Lord said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and standing before the angel. He spoke and said to those who were standing before him, saying, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” Again he said to him, “See, I have taken your iniquity away from you and clothe you with festal robes.” Then I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of the LORD was standing by. And the angel of the LORD admonished Joshua, saying, “Thus says the LORD of hosts, ‘If you will walk in My ways and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you free access among these who are standing here. Zechariah 3:1-6.
Please take note of three keys here, first, you are surrounded by My angel to serve you as a believer, even when Satan comes to accuse you before Me. Next, that I am the one that rebukes Satan but when you are clothed in My righteousness and are equipped with My armor you become My agent, My ambassador, on earth and you can fight with and like Me and you can rebuke him by My authority to which you have access in My Name and by the power in My Word in your mouth. Jesus told you to cast out demons in His Name. And that should help you to understand what I mean and why it works when I tell you to submit to Me, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. So you see that is standing strong in Me and the POWER OF MY MIGHT. And that is the third key here to My power in you, you are doing it as My agent knowing what your principal told you to do and what He Himself would do since you know His ways..
It is like if you were an electrician, even though you are not the source of the power you know how to install it so it works, how to hook up with it that it becomes your own in your home.
So what are My ways that show in your works? Let Me tell you, for Moses inquired to know the same:
The LORD descended in the cloud and stood there with him as Moses called upon the name of the LORD. Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth (faithfulness). Exodus 34:5-6.
My ways are lovingkindness (chesed which is unconditional love) and truth (emet – which also means faithfulness).
When you have a power of attorney for a powerful and wealthy man, you can sign as the agent for that that person and bind them by their name and give yourself access to what you otherwise would not have access to. My power and magnificent promises are found in My Covenant Names which I have given you. When you are the agent under the Name of the LORD your healer that healing power is released in the power of that Name by you signing as agent, just as when Peter and John told the beggar at the beautiful gate that they had nothing of worldly goods that would cure him but they had something that would, and they took the Name of Jesus, and as agent for that Name, i.e., Jesus told you who follow Him that whatever you ask in His Name, He will do. So as agent for Him you are authorized to access His power and use it in a manner that He would do.
Look at some of My Names and see the possibilities and why Paul, inspired by My Spirit wrote that you are strong in Me and the power of My Might.
“I love You, O LORD, my strength.” The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised, aAnd I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18:1-3.
To construct (build) an airplane that works, you have to know the way it works. You have to know the physical laws of lift and thrust, of aerodynamics, that govern flight. And you must build it exactly or it will crash.
Unless the LORD builds the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain. Psalm 127:1.
Building your life according to My ways will get you the results that My Word guarantees. It will produce a structure that no storm can take down or ever shake. For My Word is My way and doing My Word is the solid rock foundation of your life. No shifting sand can hold a luxury hotel.
You may have had an upbringing devoid of My Word, but when you become My child by faith in the Name of Jesus, I will raise you, train you as one does a child, show you My ways, lead you in right paths for My Name’s sake (which I have given you to be My witness), teach you all things, discipline you in the way you should go, and grow you up in My Word.
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me. He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne. Revelation 3:19-21.
Do you see the progression? It starts with repentance, the renewing of your mind to My ways which are higher than your ways, for you are earthly, of the devil when born physically into the world, but when you are born again of My Word you become heavenly minded. And it is then you hear My voice in your heart and open your life to Me and I come in and set the banquet of My Word before you in the sight of your enemies as you learn My ways from My Words, which are living and actively working in you. And it is then, in that place of fellowship and teaching with Me and My Son, that you begin the joyful life of the overcomer, which can only happen when you know and believe in the love I have for you and that in the rest of that love beyond love that you always have the answer to everything, from how to do your job, raise your children, speak to others, and the like for every situation in life and you will also know you have the answer to take down and have a good result in every challenge, trial, symptom, hindrance, or any other evil thing that raises up its head against you.
But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the One who lifts my head. Psalm 3:3.
I love you and if you know and believe in the love I have for you and nothing can shake you from faith in love, whether it be your own sin, the sin of another, or adverse circumstances, because you know I will give you the answer and I will fix it the problem, you are already beginning to know My ways.
Seek the LORD while He may be found; call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to the LORD, and He will have compassion on him, and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there without watering the earth and making it bear and sprout, and furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire. Isaiah 55:6-11.
