In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. John 1:4-5
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I make you a promise in Jesus that no follower of His will ever walk in darkness.
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.” John 8:12.
And two or three witnesses establish a fact. And today I am confirming that promise to you again as the second witness.
Even in your law it has been written that the testimony of two men is true. I am He who testifies about Myself, and the Father who sent Me testifies about Me.” John 8:17-18.
And there is a third witness as well who testifies to Jesus as the light of eternal life.
“When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me, and you will testify also, because you have been with Me from the beginning. John 15:26-27.
And you too will testify to the Light, like bright lights in a dark world, for you have been with Me from the beginning, I planned and knew you before the foundation of the world. And what did I speak into your life, into the world, into the universe, from the beginning? As My Spirit hovered over the dark void of chaos, over the churning waters, waiting to breathe forth My Word into being, I said, “Light be!” and Light was. And once I speak it is continuous and established in Heaven forever. What I, and you as My witness, loose into the earth has already been loosed in Heaven. There is no darkness or night in Heaven. It is pure light for I am its Light and the Lamb is its Lamp.
And My Word, which is Spirit breathed testifies to you of Jesus as well, the third witness:
This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 1 John 5:6
You should not be staying in the darkness. Why? Because you have the Light of life that enlightens you who are Mine in Jesus.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it. John 1:1-5
Saints have the Light. I have rescued you out of darkness and translated you into the Kingdom of My Beloved Son. And He is the Light of the world. Though in a world of darkness, chaos, and confusion, I have called you out of darkness into My own marvelous light.
For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6.
I am still speaking light; My Words are forever and never pass away. And yet many of you are walking in darkness even now. You are groping around not knowing where to go, trapped in your darkness of painful days, and walking in the dark valley of the shadow of death. You are sad and trapped and all you want is out. You are living as one in the world whose hopes are limited to this life of flesh only, but you are no longer in the flesh, you are in the Spirit, that is, if you have taken Jesus as Lord.
Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. Ephesians 2:12.
But now you should no longer be living as those without hope. Jesus is your hope, and He, the Light of the world, is in you, your hope of glory.
But even if you are looking into darkness, you can change that. It is very simple, not complicated.
What do you do when you are physically in a dark room and cannot see where you are going? You look for the light switch and turn on the light. And when you find the switch and turn on the light the darkness is over and you can find exactly the object you want without tripping or falling or striking your toe against the furniture and without groping around all over the table. Before people had found and put to work the electricity I put in the earth they would light a lamp with a flame of fire and put it on a lampstand or carry an oil lamp or a torch.
Light is always the solution to darkness. It is not complicated. When your eyes are clear, that is, not veiled or looking into the darkness of what is hidden in the folds, Satan makes things very complicated, but if you make things simple by following My Words, then your eyes will be enlightened and your body will be filled with light as if fully illumined with a light from within.
“No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light. The eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness. Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness. If therefore your whole body is full of light, with no dark part in it, it will be wholly illumined, as when the lamp illumines you with its rays.” Luke 11:33-36.
You have a built in lamp that is always lit and never goes out to enlighten you with the Light of life.
The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, searching all the innermost parts of his being. Proverbs 20:27.
How do you light your inner lamp so that you never walk in darkness?
For You light my lamp; the LORD my God illumines my darkness. Psalm 18:28.
I light your lamp. How? By My Word and by My Spirit, the revealer of the Word, which is the anointing. Adam made your spirits dead to Me, the Light, and alive to sin, the dark, but when you are born again by My Word, the lamp of you stony, cold spirit is lit with the Light of My life, for I am Light, and you are again alive to Me and dead to sin.
Your answer is always in a Word that lights up the path.
Jesus is the Light of the world. But what does that mean? What does it mean if someone comes over when it is dark to visit you at your house for dinner, what do you do? You turn on your house lights so you do not both stumble around in the dark. Well, the world today is a dark place but you have the solution, just turn on the Light of the world and you will never walk in darkness.
Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left. Isaiah 30:21.
Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before Me, and be blameless (complete, perfect). Genesis 17:1.
The light of your living room lights your living room, and the Light of the world lights up the world.
Do all things without grumbling or disputing; so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, holding forth the Word of life. Philippians 2:14-16. My Light will lead you on. He is the good Shepherd and My Holy Spirit leads and guides you to all truth. My Word is truth.
O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me; let them bring me to Your holy mountain and to Your dwelling places. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy and gladness; and upon the lyre I shall praise You, O God, my God. Psalm 43:3-4.
In a dark place, revelation light brings joy because it ends the darkness of confusion. One Word from Me can open up your destiny and bring you into My exceeding joy.
Satan wants to keep you in the dark. He blinds the minds of unbelievers and veils your eyes. Yet Light overpowers darkness by its nature. Live then as children of the Light.
What is the Light of the world? What is the light of life? What is it that enlightens every man and woman and keeps you from even spending one moment in the dark? My Word is a light to your path and a lamp to our feet. The revelation of My Word gives light, giving understanding to the simple.
Jesus is My Word and He is the Light of the world, so My Word is the light the world. My Word is the light that everyone is searching for that comes down to enlighten every person.
We have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 2 Peter 1:19-21.
And Jesus tells you that no follower of His will ever walk in darkness but will have the light of life. And a follower is a disciple and Jesus tells you what disciples do to be set free by Him from darkness.
So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:31-32.
My Words are words of life, eternal life. They are light and life, living and working always. They are the solution to darkness. Come and sing with Me in My marvelous light!
I love you. If you have been living in the dark, it is time to light up your world with the Light of the world. When sinking down into the darkness, run for the light switch! Run to My Word and find the Word that lights up your world and drives out the darkness just at the moment you need it and rejoice in it. Wake the dawn with your song.
Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5.
