But I tell you that every idle, careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Matthew 12:36-37.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
You will never take the opportunity to reign in life through Jesus and rule over the works of My hands if you do not rule your own thoughts, words, and actions. In the last Life Lesson we addressed your thoughts. There is much more to say about that but let us go on today to what your thoughts produce, that is, your words.
Thoughts to Me are as words already for I know your thoughts from afar and even before a word is on your tongue I know the whole of it. Jesus knew what the Pharisees were thinking in their hearts and questioned them on their thoughts as if they had said them. Your thoughts can be so loud and so well expressed in your face and eyes that others will know what you are thinking about.
Words are very important. They release your faith into the world to do the work that is contained in the word. I created everything by speaking it into being.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being, John 1:1-3.
By faith we understand that the heavens and earth were made by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible. Hebrews 11:1.
I call things out of the spiritual realm into the physical realm by My Words.
God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. Romans 4:17.
The spirit of faith is that you believe in your heart AND speak with your mouth.
But having the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak. 2 Corinthians 4:13.
Faith comes by hearing but it is released by speaking and by acting upon the faith that is in your heart. Fear also comes by hearing and it is released by speaking and acting upon the fear that is in your heart.
Do not let your heart be troubled, do not let it be afraid, Jesus has given you His peace, His shalom (wholeness in every area of your life). In Jesus you are complete.
Your words matter. They will condemn you or they will acquit you.
But I tell you that every idle, careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. Matthew 12:36-37.
This is a matter of death and life, and the power of death and life is in your tongue. You control it with your words.
With the fruit of a man’s mouth his stomach will be satisfied; he will be satisfied with the product of his lips. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:20-21.
Every fact is established by two or three witnesses. The devil is accusing you before Me night and day, and he is looking for a witness for his accusations to establish them before Me. DO NOT WITNESS WITH THE DEVIL by saying his thoughts which are contrary and stout against Mine. Do not condemn yourself to the curse.
But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it . . . I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your seed, by loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days. Deuteronomy 30:14,19-20.
Your words rule your life so you must rule your words if you want to rule your life. An undisciplined mouth will destroy you, for you will find yourself saying the very things you do not want as being your reality if you just speak what you physically see or speak your negative emotions of the moment. My Words are words of blessing and eternal life, they are Spirit and life. I speak peace (shalom) to My people.
If you want a happy and wonderful life filled with good things and every perfect gift it comes down to what you are calling in with your words. Not so much as what I am saying about you but whether you are agreeing with Me. And if you agree with Me, you are speaking the truth. If you do not agree with Me, but instead speak stout against Me by saying the words of the world, the flesh and the devil, you are speaking lies, which is sin, and the wages of sin is death.
Jesus is My Word and I have given Him the eternal office of the High Priest of your confession. In Greek the word translated “confession” is “homologia” which means speaking the same words in total agreement, that is, that you are speaking in agreement with Jesus, your great High Priest, so I can perform the words you are speaking. You do not return My Word to Me void, it will achieve the purpose for which I sent it. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your pits and destructions. Psalm 107:20. Use it. I have put My Words in your mouth and My Spirit on you and in you. Make use of so great a salvation in every situation of your life.
There are three things I NEVER want you to speak or even mention. I do not want you to think on them either. And these three things are some of the most common things you will hear people talk about who have had any kind of experiences in life.
- Never speak of the regrets and accusations of the past.
People regret things that they have done (or not done) in their lives and are busy accusing themselves and others of causing them to miss opportunities they feel now they should have taken. This remorse leads to mourning over your past life as if your future life is gone because of past actions or inactions caused by yourself or others. I tell you that if you put your hand to the plow and keep looking back you are no good in the Kingdom to get any of the great works done I have in store for you to do. My apostle Paul had regrets for many years of his past but he told you the secret to moving on to a fruitful and amazing life of glory:
Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14.
One thing: look forward. Only one thing is necessary, as My Son told Martha, and it is fellowship with Me. And no matter what you have done or not done you can come to Me now and learn from Me and your souls will find rest for My yoke is easy and My burden light. When you burden yourself with past regrets and the bitterness of accusations against yourself and others you have no peace or rest and you cannot run your race with your eyes on Jesus.
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith. Hebrews 12:1-2.
Do not be like Job. He could not get over his unrest and fear and that was what let in just what he feared and had unrest about.
“For what I fear comes upon me, and what I dread befalls me. I am not at ease, nor am I quiet, and I am not at rest, but turmoil comes.” Job 3:25-26.
Never let yourself get to fear, dread, unrest, and being ill at ease. That is not fellowship with Me. You have not done the one thing necessary, you are concerned and anxious about many things.
Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.” But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her. Luke 10:38-42.
Peace comes from knowing Me. When you talk to Me about the sorrows and failures of your past, I tell you about your great future. Like I did with Moses at the burning bush and with Gideon as he beat out wheat in the wine press in order to save it from the Midianites. It is time you did the same.
The past is over, finished and gone, it’s time to step up and sing a new song, I am your God, I’m calling to you, come live in the light of My love. Come, come and walk with Me, beloved within My light, come, come and soar with Me on the wings of the wind we’ll take flight.
Do not accuse yourself and others, then you sound just like the accuser of the brethren. Do not testify with him. It will be your downfall and out of your own mouth.
Learn from Jacob’s son Joseph, the prince among his brothers. He was badly abused and it looked like his future was over and gone. But he never spoke any regrets or accusations. He just gloried in seeing all his dreams come to pass despite what had passed. He watched his words by watching Me.
- Never speak again of your sins which you have already confessed to Me and repented of.
When you confess your sins to Me, I am faithful and just to forgive your sins and cleanse you of all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. Jesus already took your sins and bore the punishment for them, so if you confess Him as Lord and repent of your sins, they are gone, borne by Him who knew no sin but became sin for you. I have legally and justly cancelled your sins as paid in full for Jesus has paid for them in your stead by his sacrificial substitutionary death on your behalf. You never could have paid for your sins for only He, being born of the incorruptible seed of My Word had an eternal life in the flesh to give for the one you lost in your forefather Adam. And My Holy Spirit testifies to you that your sins and lawless deeds I remember NO MORE. They are not just forgiven but gone. Paid for in full by the blood of My Son, for the life is in the blood. You are forgiven by the law of the blood. It is the law on which you plead your case before the accuser of the brethren in the court of Heaven. And by your words of your testimony, witnessing with your great High Priest Jesus and your advocate the Holy Spirit you are acquitted on the testimony of three witnesses, the Spirit, the water, and the blood.
It is time you stopped bringing up and crying about your sins to Me. They are gone. I do not want to hear about them anymore no matter how much remorse Satan is stirring up in you about them. Tell him the truth, you do not remember that sin for I do not and you imitate Me, your Father, as My dear children.
However, by your words you are acquitted and by your words you are condemned so if you keep condemning yourself you are telling Me the blood of Jesus is not enough to take away your sins and it is a spiritual law that by the standard you judge I must judge you. And if it is not enough for you than in your case it cannot forgive you and you are still in your sins. Selah.
But the blood is enough, more than enough, to take everyone’s sins away forever. Agree with Me and walk in the joyful freedom of My children—beloved, forgiven, blessed and favored.
Stop dishonoring what I did for you in My Son and honor the greatness of the blood shed for you by applying it to your sins and those of others that you have not forgiven with JOY. I honor those who honor Me, who honor the blood and the word of the testimony of My Spirit to you.
- Never speak of what people have done wrong to you.
Again, stop helping the accuser of the brethren. I do not want to hear you saying again and again the wrongs you have suffered from others. This shuts the door of your heart so hard, all intwined with bitter roots, that all the answers to your prayers and the blessings I am trying to pour into your life are stacked up outside your door, unable to get in. There is no answer to My voice nor to My knock for your hardened heart cannot hear Me. You are like the barren bush in the desert that does not see good when it comes and lets it go right by. Now is the time of your visitation. Call while I am still near.
If you love Me you obey My Word and that is the bottom line. And I have told you to forgive others as I have forgiven you. I forgive you by the blood of Jesus and besides paying Me, His blood paid you for the sins of others. Whether they have received their forgiveness by faith in Jesus is up to them, and vindication is from Me, but it is not your concern to enforce that. You are to follow Me. And if the blood is not enough for you to forgive others, I must use that same standard back on you, and you too are still in your sins before Me. Selah. That was the parable My Son told about the unforgiving servant and you know what happened to him.
You are forgiven in Jesus but you can reject that standard as not enough for you. And that is testifying to a lie. Stop witnessing with the devil. You are forgiven and made righteous, and so is everyone else, but it is up to you and each person individually whether you will receive that gift of righteousness or not. But those who do receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness will reign in life through Christ Jesus their Lord.
I love you. WATCH YOUR WORDS. You are constantly in the courtroom of Heaven but you can win every time by the blood of the Lamb and THE WORDS OF YOUR TESTIMONY. And this works in every area of your life. I forgive all your sins, heal all your ills and pains, redeem your life from the pit, surround you with love and compassion, fill your days with good things, and renew your youth like the eagle. Start agreeing and testifying with Me and not against Me.
I do not want to hear you speaking and thinking upon your regrets and accusations of the past, the sins that you have confessed and repented of, and what people have done wrong to you any longer. It is time to let that go and go forward. One thing only is necessary and you can do that all the time because My Spirit is in you. We are joined up for fellowship, make it a delight for us, not a time for tears and pain before Me. Rejoice in Me as I do in you. And let your thoughts and words join in.
