I will listen to what God the LORD says; He promises peace to His people, His faithful servants— but let them not turn to folly. Psalm 85:8.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אֱלֹהִים) says:
Peace. Shalom. It is the Blessing. Shalom is My plan for your life, it is Love’s plan for your life.
“For I know the plans that I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans for your welfare (shalom peace, wholeness, prosperity in spirit, soul, and body) and not for evil to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11.
When I raised Jesus from the dead, His first word to His disciples was “Peace be with you.” The Shalom Blessing. How do you get it? He made peace through the blood of the Cross. Jesus won your peace and is your peace.
But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel. His goings forth are from long ago, from the days of eternity.” Therefore He will give them up until the time when she who is in labor has borne a child. Then the remainder of His brethren will return to the sons of Israel. And He will arise and shepherd His flock in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD His God. And they will remain, because He will be great to the ends of the earth. This One will be our peace. Michah 5:2-5.
Peace is a fruit of My Spirit and it comes when you act in love and live in love. There is a wonderful future for the man or woman of peace. Those who sow and cultivate peace reap a harvest of righteousness. James 3:18.
Mark the blameless man and behold the upright, for there is a happy future for the man of peace. As for transgressors, they shall be destroyed together; in the end the wicked shall be cut off. Psalm 37:37-38.
Where there is strife there is confusion and every evil work. James 3:16. How good it is where brethren dwell as one! Believers that first followed My Son were of one mind and one heart.
Peace is stability that comes from being established in Me. Great peace have those whose minds are stayed on Me! Great peace have those who love My law.
My Word has a lot to say to you about peace. I consider it vitally important. Do you remember how My Son would open conversation with the disciples when He rose from the dead? “Peace be with you.” Luke 24:36. And do you remember what He told His followers to say when they entered a house when on a journey for preaching the Kingdom? “Peace to this house.” Luke 10:5.
Try to live at peace with all men as far as concerns you. A soft answer calms wrath. It takes two to argue and fight. Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Do not let the sun go down on your anger. Pull out bitter roots by love.
Blessed are the peacemakers for they are My children. I tell you that if your brother has anything against you, go first to make peace (be reconciled) with him before you offer your gift. Once there is peace, you can offer your gift and receive My forgiveness and mercy.
My Son is the Prince of Peace. He reconciled you with Me when you were still dead in your sins and trespasses. From Adam down through the generations the choice to sin by man had created a separation between us that Jesus bridged. He bought you out of the slavery to sin and death and cleansed you of all sin. He took all My justice and wrath for the evil of men upon Himself and ransomed you from the curse of the law. He shields you from the wrath to come. He reconciled you to Me by taking all your sins on Himself and taking the condemnation for sin upon Himself. He bore it all for you. Now you are free—holy and blameless in My sight just as if you had never sinned. We are reconciled. That is why at Jesus’ birth the angels sang “Peace on earth, good will towards men!” Peace. Peace between Me and My beloved mankind. I exalted Jesus because He gave Me My greatest desire—to dwell in, among and with men again as My very dear children.
And He gave you His peace the night before He offered His life as a sacrifice to take away the separation between us. John 14:27. You have His peace which is My peace. You have peace surpassing all understanding. You have peace—deep, beautiful, powerful, restful peace that can take you through any storm unshakeable. And it is rooted and grounded in My all powerful love for you that made Me give My only Son to obtain it for you.
I have given you peace, but it is up to you to take and receive it. It is up to you not to let your heart be troubled or afraid. It is up to you to be a peacemaker. I give you peace so that you can do something with it. I give you peace so that you can live in peace and be a peacemaker. I have given you the materials to build with, but it is up to you to build a house of peace.
And the peace I give is not like the world’s peace. The world’s peace is a temporary peace that depends on outward circumstances so that it varies each day. The peace the world gives cannot bring you through a trial unshakeable and bring you to victory. The minute there is a trial the world’s peace is gone for it depends on the outward circumstances entirely. My peace is a fruit of the Spirit and it comes from within you and goes out.
And the peace I give is Shalom. It means nothing missing or broken in your life. It means you have peace in your mind, your will, and your emotions, in your relationships, in your finances, in your body, and in your home. It means you have peace with Me and with yourself. It means you are free from anxiety and fear.
Anger, which festers and grows where there is a lack of love and peace, creates a mess and confusion. It causes divisions, fighting, and factions. Peace, which grows where love is, creates order and beauty. It causes unity, cooperation, and mutual respect. Peace is a binding force. I have given you a Covenant of Peace.
My purposes I am planning for you are for your shalom peace and not disaster, a future and a hope. There is a future for the man of peace, but the hopes of the wicked are cut off. There is no peace for the wicked; they are tossed about like a tumultuous sea.
Remember how I told Moses to bless the Israelites? It was a blessing of shalom peace. “May the LORD bless you and keep you, may He let His Face shine upon you and give you shalom peace.”
My Kingdom is a Kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Peace is the flow of Heaven.
Gideon called Me “Yahweh Shalom.” The Lord is Peace. Do you remember why He called Me that? Because he heard My voice but did not die. Judges 6:22-23.
Israel had forsaken Me and turned to the worship of other gods, Gideon’s family even had an altar to Baal, but they were blaming Me for not giving them victory over the attacks of the enemy invaders from Midian who were divesting them of all their crops and goods. The Israelites had moved out from under My jurisdiction when they turned to other gods and rejected My commands. I had sent them prophets to warn them of this and call them back to Me but they would not listen. But because they had cried to Me, I came to save them through the cooperation of Gideon. Gideon was conscious of My holiness and feared that he would die for having been in My presence but he came to realize that I came to bless him and empower him to defeat Israel’s enemies. He then built an altar there to Me and called Me “the Lord is Peace.” He listened to Me and began to cooperate with Me. He tore down the altar to Baal after our encounter, although out of fear of men he did it at night when no one saw him. Judges 6:27.
Now since Jesus has reconciled us, My Spirit lives in every born-again believer and you can hear My Voice all day and all night if you so choose. And you do not die even though you have such holiness and power within you and with you. For I am your peace.
Through Gideon I brought peace and rest back to Israel. But they forsook Me again and broke that peace. They broke My Covenant. But now I have made a new Covenant with Jesus as your representative and mediator which will never be broken. And I have given to each one of you eternal, everlasting peace and rest when you join yourself in Covenant with Me through Jesus. And that peace is permanent and has no end. You can release it in your life to flow like a river, filling you until it overflows.
Without peace there is no rest. Without peace there is no wholeness. Without peace there is disease, division, and confusion. And without love there is no peace. I bring peace and I am love.
Be reconciled with Me through Jesus and you will receive My gift of peace. And there is a future for a man of peace. But it is up to you to take and receive that peace and to let it guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus by casting all your cares upon Me through prayer and petition with thanksgiving. I will show you what to do. I will lead you on pathways of peace for all My ways are faithful love.
Remember My Son gave you the gift of peace—so if you don’t have peace, it means you lost it.
Why do you lose your peace?
It is because you do not keep your mind stayed on Me. Perfect peace have those whose mind is stayed on Me. I tell you this in My Word so you know if you would do it, it will always work. My Word is the perfect law of freedom, which means it always works just as it says it will and it always sets you free.
What does it mean to keep your mind stayed on Me? It means you do not focus on your problem, the disaster, or the bad report, but on Me for the solution, for the victory. You rest in Me. You do not fear a bad report or a storm against you, you put your eyes on Me and resist it, rebuke and bind it in the Name of Jesus, and speak to your mountain (grace to it!) and tell it to be cast into the sea! Then you turn to Me and to My written Word in the Bible and My spoken Word in your spirit, and ask what you need to do to correct and change it, that is, to get the result you want. Check yourself to see if you are doing what I tell you to do to obtain it.
Let Me lead you by My Holy Spirit. Your GPS (God’s Powerful Spirit) who dwells within you and is with you always.
Now, I tell you the truth, if you do what I tell you to do in all circumstances, you will never lose your peace. My Word is a light to your path and a lamp to your feet. I send it to heal you and deliver you from the pit. My Words are spirit and life. And I tell you that My Will for you in Christ Jesus (and in Him is the realm of grace) is that you rejoice always, pray without ceasing, and give constant thanks. You may think you cannot do this, but you can or I would not tell you to do so. I know you—I made you. This is what works to have a victorious life where you never lose your peace.
Look at My servant Paul in prison singing to Me at midnight when it looked bleak indeed! He was rejoicing in Me (not in being in prison but in that I lived in Him and would give him the victory in Christ Jesus), he was praying (by singing), and giving thanks (in song). Do you recall what happened? I shook the prison and his chains fell off. The perfect law of freedom! I also healed his beaten back.
And remember Daniel in the lions’ den all night. I sent My angel to hold the hungry lions’ mouths shut. Daniel had not been moved but rejoiced in Me, prayed, and gave thanks.
I tell you, it works. When the darkness starts to take you down, come into My light by breaking out in jubilant song—just make melody in your heart and sing a new song. “Rejoice, rejoice, He’s made me His own choice!” Sing out Psalm 103!
Next time you lose your peace and begin to cry and make a scene, just ask yourself these questions: “Is my mind fixed on God? Am I rejoicing in that He provides a way out for me and that He has given me the victory in Christ Jesus? Am I talking with God and asking what to do and asking for help? Am I giving thanks that He is working on my behalf to make all things come out good and provide a way out? Am I thanking God for taking all my sins away in Jesus and for who He has made me in Jesus Christ?”
If any of those are answered in the negative, immediately make the necessary adjustment and begin doing what I tell you to do. Joy will replace your sorrow and light will drive out the darkness. Speak Jesus, the Light of the world, into your situation. Miracles will take place, some instantaneous, others taking longer depending on who and what is involved. But know I will fix it and give you what to do. But you must take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (realize I am looking at His perfectly holy and obedient thoughts and not yours) and not give in to fear. You must cast all your cares on Me, because I care for you.
My Son told you this when He gave you peace at the Last Supper. He told you that He gave you peace, but you still have a part. He told you not to let your hearts be troubled or afraid.
And how do you do that? By speaking words of faith instead of fear, which means speaking My life giving words, death and life are in the power of your tongue and you shall eat the fruit of it, rejoicing in Me always, praying without ceasing and giving constant thanks.
Do this and My peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
You who are in Christ Jesus have cause for rejoicing. He bore all your sins and diseases and now, for those who are in Christ Jesus, it is as if you never sinned, all the way back to Adam. We have been reconciled by the blood of His cross. And now I give you everything with Him. All My many beautiful and awesome promises of healing, provision, deliverance, youth renewal, forgiveness, righteousness, joy and peace are “yes” to you in Him. Take them, He obtained them for you at great cost. And My peace, that surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Remember where you are seated in Him!
I love you and My plans for you are peace. Come to Me to have that peace. When you have come to know and believe in the love I have for you and that I have made you completely righteous with My own righteousness in Christ you will have peace. Peace that surpasses all understanding.
