He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. John 6:54.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

Jesus makes an extraordinary promise of inheritance to you that when He first spoke it was so hard for the crowd to understand that many walked away and missed their inheritance that He offered them that day. And that inheritance was threefold: living in His abiding presence, never to thirst or hunger again, and to have eternal life. And that promise of eternal life, which is now and forever, included being raised by Him personally on the Last Day to receive the redemption of your bodies to immortal glorified bodies. And it all had to do with one thing: His body and blood in the covenant communion meal.

If you have been eating the bread that is His body and drinking the cup that is His blood in a mindless way it is time for you to be mindful of what you are partaking for that is the reason, as My servant Paul told you, that many of you are sick and dying because you are not recognizing the body and what you have as an inheritance therein.

What did Jesus tell you? “Do this in remembrance of Me.” Remembering what? Him, who He is and what He did for you and what you inherit from it in His bloody scourging, broken body, pierced hands and feet, His pierced heart, and His death that took away all your sins, iniquities, illnesses, pains, offenses, shame, and guilt and made you holy, blameless, and beyond reproach before Me. He released you from your sins by His blood—you are free—and made you a kingdom, priests unto Me.

It is a matter of remembering, and never forgetting, all your benefits and actively taking possession of the inheritance that is already yours. And I even list them for you through My prophet David:

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits; He pardons all your iniquities, He heals all your diseases; He redeems your life from the pit, He surrounds and crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; He fills your days and years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle. Psalm 103:1-5.

Here you see the benefits of which I am speaking that are yours in partaking as a believer in His body and blood of the new and everlasting covenant: (1)  pardon and complete forgiveness justly given through the death of My Son taking away your sins and accounting them to Him like you never did them; (2) healing from all diseases, for Jesus bore them in His body and lifted your sickness and pains off you onto Himself (like the bronze serpent on the pole that was a shadow of the good things to be fulfilled in Jesus); (3) redemption from hell and the grave, and in Jesus, I also redeem you from the curse, which is poverty, sickness, and eternal death, so just the opposite is yours, i.e., prosperity, health, and eternal life; (4) the hedge of favor surrounding you with love and compassion, this is the promise of My comfort and intervention in trials and times of loneliness, also of My sending you good friends and companions to support, stand in the gap, and encourage you in the Body of Christ, the Church; (5) a life filled with good things and perfect gifts coming to you from the Kingdom that brighten and prosper all your days and make up for the times you see evil; and (6) the renewal of your youthful vigor so that you will be sturdy, vigorous, and bearing fruit even in old age, soaring with Me on the winds of the Spirit like a great eagle.

All these benefits you will find personally guaranteed by Jesus, My great “Amen” to all My promises to you, Revelation 3:14; 2 Corinthians 1:20, in the discourse Jesus gave the astonished crowd who searched for Him after He had fed them on the hillside with just five loaves and two fish. They came because they wanted more bread, and He told them of the true heavenly bread to eat and never die.

And it all begins with faith.

Jesus answered them and said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you, for on Him the Father, God, has set His seal.” Therefore they said to Him, “What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.” John 6:26-29.

They asked what to do so they could do works like Jesus (multiplying provision, healing the sick, raising the dead). He told them the answer, and it is the same answer to you of how you do the works of Jesus and greater works, you have faith in Jesus, the only Name by which you are saved, for He is the One I sent to save you unto eternal life.

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. John 14:12-14.

And the same is true for the work of eternal life in you to raise you up on the last day.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. John 3:16-17.

After the answer to the crowd that they had to have faith in Him to do the works He did, they countered with a question:

So they said to Him, “What then do You do for a sign, so that we may see, and believe You? What work do You perform? Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread out of heaven to eat.’” Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.” Then they said to Him, “Lord, always give us this bread.” John 6:30-34.

They asked Him to give them a sign so they could believe in Him. But He had already healed their sick, Matthew 14:14, multiplied loaves and fish, and His teachings on the hillside to them had been so amazing that they had stayed listening with nothing to eat. But they asked for another sign.

Many of you today are like that. I have given you the Kingdom and all My magnificent promises are “yes” to you in Jesus, My great “amen” to you, and yet you still test Me and doubt I will heal or provide for you every time you face a new challenge. In this life, Jesus assured you, you will face trials but cheer up and be encouraged, Jesus has overcome the world, and He has given you His authority to do so. But it is faith that will get you to My rest in the midst of a storm, for when you have the solution, you really do not have a problem.

Faith is a wonderful thing. It turns your life around. It fills your days with beauty and takes away your frown. It makes you into a prophet, telling the good news, that I am here among you, making all things new.

You cannot please Me or receive from Me without faith, it is the connection through which My power transmits to you, and faith works by love. There are many instances where I have granted your requests, and the blessing is there for you, but your bitter roots are so tightly wound around the door to your heart that I cannot get the benefit in. When you stand to pray, forgive, and watch the gate open wide, that is, the gate to your heart. My gate is open. Jesus is that gate. And He is love.

But the crowd before Jesus was still thinking of the wonderful bread He had given them, it was so abundant and good that they had wanted to crown Him king, John 6:15. They reminded Jesus of the manna that fell on the dewfall every morning with double on the day before Shabbat. They were hoping for daily bread to shower down upon them like the manna.

Jesus used that as the opportunity to instruct them on what was to come that would be theirs by faith in Him, the true Bread out of Heaven, for Jesus came down out of Heaven to give eternal life to the world. John 3:16. And He did so by giving you His own eternal body and blood to pay for the eternal life you all lost in Adam.

If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended into heaven, but He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man. As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. John 3:12-15.

And the crowd who had eaten the loaves and the fish wanted now to eat the bread of which Jesus spoke that came out of Heaven that would give them life, abundant life. And Jesus had much more to tell them of this bread of His body. Jesus is My Word made flesh, and man does not live on perishable physical bread alone but on every Word that proceeds from My mouth, My imperishable Word. For that is the true bread that comes out of Heaven. I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from your destructions. My Word is life to those who find it and health to all their flesh.

My Words are not idle words, they are your very life. My Words have many levels and ways that you receive, but they are all received with faith working by love. Grace makes them, faith takes them, and love is the power that moves all to work together for good. And Jesus affirmed to the crowd that He is My Word and He is the true Bread that comes down from Heaven to give eternal life to the world.

Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst.” John 6:35.

This is a precious and magnificent promise. When you enter into Covenant with Jesus in the communion with His body and blood you are forever sealed in Him and your heart will rest in Me in Him.

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14.

This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:36-40.

I have sealed you who believe in Christ by the Holy Spirit and given you to Jesus to keep you as your great good Shepherd and commanded Him to raise you on the last day. He is watching over you for good and not evil, to give you a future and a hope. He makes sure you are satisfied with good things. When you are satisfied within with My love the gnawing emptiness inside your heart is gone.

Some people feel empty inside because their spirit is starving and thirsting for My Word. But they do not understand they need to feed on My Word by hearing it, reading it speaking it, pondering on it, and doing it, so they run for chocolate bars, cookies, pizza, cokes, alcohol, drugs, and the like to try to fill that gnawing hole inside, but only the bread of life will fill the void. My Word, even in the beginning, filled the void and turned it into a garden of delightful abundance.

Because Jesus told the crowd, “I am the bread that came down out of heaven,” they began to argue with one another, saying, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does He now say, ‘I have come down out of heaven’?” John 6:52-53.

They thought they knew everything about Jesus because He was from close to their towns but they did not. If they had known Scriptures and My power they would not have been misled. And you will notice they are no longer showing respect, reverence and awe for My Son. A short while ago they were fighting to make Him king and now they are fighting against His Words.

Jesus had a response from Me, for He only said My Words and did My Works. Love Word and Love Works.

Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” John 14:47-51.

And here I reveal to you My heart through My Son. The eternal life you are seeking is in My Son and He is your bread of life. Your fathers ate manna in the desert and died, but when you partake of My Son, like the burnt offering of old, your sin goes on Him and His righteousness transfers to you, but there is MUCH MORE. You also receive His eternal life so that you can live your life through Him.

By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:9-10.

My Words are My love story of your life. I love you dearly and want to feed you with the bread of Heaven. Yes, Jesus told you that you would be eating the communion meal in Heaven as well.

When the hour had come, He reclined at the table, and the apostles with Him. And He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; for I say to you, I shall never again eat it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” Luke 22:15-16.

You are those who have stood by Me in My trials; and just as My Father has granted Me a kingdom, I grant you that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. Luke 22:28-30.

For you are all invited to the marriage feast of the Lamb but only those who are members of His body, the church, the bride of Christ are properly dressed to enter the great and glorious banquet hall and be caught up in the air to greet Him and join in the great marriage feast.

Let us rejoice and be glad and give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come and His bride has made herself ready.” It was given to her to clothe herself in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Then he said to me, “Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.’ Revelation 19:7-9.

But let us go back to the crowd that had been fed the loaves and fish on the hillside who had tracked Jesus down but were now getting a bit adverse about Him being the bread that came down out of Heaven for them to eat and never die.

Then the Jews began to argue with one another, saying, “How can this man give us His flesh to eat?” So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever.” John 6:52-58.

And here you see one of My most loving and mysterious promises of all. Jesus told you that the one who eats His flesh and drinks His blood has eternal life and Jesus Himself will raise you up on the last day. Remember I have commanded Him to raise all that I give Him, and I seal you in Him by the Holy Spirit when you believed in the good news of your salvation in Him.

But this really should not surprise you. Adam and Eve lost eternal life by eating and you gain eternal life by eating. When you eat His body and drink His blood you are eating from the body that hung on the tree which though a place of punishment for your sins it because the tree of life and the fruit thereof is the Body and Blood of the one who hung upon the tree of the cross and redeemed you from the curse under which Adam and Eve put the earth. All by eating that which was not My Word.

And do you notice that if you eat His body and drink His blood you abide in Him, which is abiding in the Word, and He (My Word made flesh) abides in you. My Word is living and working in you to heal you, give you life, and give you a new heart and a renewed mind transforming you into My image from glory to glory. You are what you eat.

Jesus proceeds from My bosom and lives as one with Me, one life of unity, and when you eat Him you also live in the depth of Me because of Him.

And what was the response of the crowd who had eaten the loaves and the fish?

Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this said, “This is a difficult statement; who can listen to it?” But Jesus, conscious that His disciples grumbled at this, said to them, “Does this cause you to stumble? What then if you see the Son of Man ascending to where He was before?  It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.” John 6:60-63.

The body and blood of My Son is spirit food, it looks and tastes like bread and it looks and tastes like the fruit of the vine, but a change takes place as you speak the words of remembrance as He spoke them at the fulfillment of the Passover memorial feast the night before He died and My Spirit hovers to perform My Words in power and it becomes the heavenly substance of My Word made flesh dwelling among you again and again.

As a result of this many of His disciples withdrew and were not walking with Him anymore. So Jesus said to the twelve, “You do not want to go away also, do you?” Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have words of eternal life. We have believed and have come to know that You are the Holy One of God.” John 6:66-69.

The Word of eternal life. You have it. Put it in your mouth and chew on it and speak it, love it and do it, hear it and build your faith.

Over the coming life lessons I shall show you so much more, from Melchizedek to Abraham to the Passover to the Memorial meal to the Tabernacle of Moses to the Temple of Solomon to Bethlehem (House of Bread) to the hillsides of Galilee to Jerusalem to the upper room to Calvery and to the Lamb in the center of the throne in Heaven to show you more about the Bread of Life and the Cup of eternal Salvation. And above all about the New and everlasting Covenant of Love. And it is all yours in Jesus, the Bread of Life and the Light of the World. Let Him light up your life! A beautiful story and it can be your story too. I want to make your life beautiful, the most beautiful life ever lived. Will you let Me? It is time you really partook of the supper of the Lamb. It is time to remember.
