I have set the LORD continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken Psalm 16:8.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The sanctified life is walking with Me in a very special way. It is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. And all those three are a wonderful way to be. And all three of them are wrapped up in a Person, Jesus, your Lord and Savior. You are never alone.
I never leave you or forsake you. I am very near to everyone. I sustain all life and every life. When you turn to Me, you will find Me with you. My eyes are on you continually. My eyes are seeking those whose hearts are turned to Me, the ones who will open their hearts to let Me in to their lives to prosper and make them great, to sanctify and consecrate them as My royal priesthood.
I have been with you wherever you have gone and have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make you a great name, like the names of the great men who are on the earth. 2 Samuel 7:9.
And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you, and make your name great; and so you shall be a blessing. Genesis 12:2.
You are with Me always and everything I have is yours. If only you knew that you would run to Me and not away from Me. In Jesus I was reconciling you to Myself, not counting your sins against you, but accounting them all to Jesus, and in Him, I took care of them justly.
And those who remember Me in all things, I remember in all things as My partner and friend. When you know and participate in what I am about, I call you friends. My mouth is all sweetness, I am altogether lovely, such is your Beloved and such is your Friend. Song of Songs 5:16.
It makes a difference who you place before you and at your right hand.
I have set the LORD continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; my flesh also will dwell securely. Psalm 16:8-9. This Scripture is a good description of walking with Me.
I will make known to you the path of life, in My presence is fullness of joy, in My right hand are pleasures forever. And that is a good description of the sanctified life.
When you walk with Me, I walk with you. When you draw close to Me, I draw close to you. Joseph, the son of Jacob, kept his attention on Me. And that opened the way for Me to be with Him.
The LORD was with Joseph, so he became a successful man. Genesis 39:2.
When I am with you, who can be against you? No one and nothing. I am the Most High and I am here for you.
David became greater and greater, for the LORD God of hosts was with him. 2 Samuel 5:10.
And David told his son, Solomon, when he was about to be anointed as king to succeed him:
Keep the mandate of the LORD, your God, following his ways and observing His statutes, commands, ordinances, and decrees as they are written in the law of Moses, that you may succeed in whatever you do. 1 Kings 2:3.
David learned that if he walked with Me he had certain success and favor. He also knew that to walk with Me you had to agree with My Way—the Way, the Truth and the Life is the only Way to Me. Jesus explained that to you.
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6.
But above and beyond all others, I was with Jesus. He always did what pleased Me.
So Jesus said, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” John 8:28-29.
To do My Will was His delight, Psalm 40:8, and it prospered in His hands. Isaiah 53:10. What you delight in, you do well.
Paul told the jailer in Philippi that if he believed in Jesus as Lord, he and his whole family would be saved. Noah walked with Me and his whole family was saved. The same was true for Abraham. Jesus walked with Me and all who believe in Him become My family and are saved. He brings you into the household of faith. He walks with Me and you all benefit as His body.
But there is much more to walking with Jesus. Yesterday, we began considering your high calling in Christ as My royal priesthood. Let us look at the shadow of the substance in the ordination and consecration of the High Priest and His priest sons under the Mosaic Covenant to see how I ordain and consecrate you in Christ, your great High Priest, as the priestly sons and daughters. Remember I have preordained you in Christ.
For those whom He foreknew, He also preordained to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He preordained, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified. Romans 8:29-30.
Jesus has released you from your sins by His blood and made you into a kingdom, priests unto Me. But this will be a teaching that is very deep so we will save that for our next Life Lesson. We will go to the book of Exodus to the tabernacle of Moses.
