My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul. Awake, harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn! Psalm 108:1-2.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:

I rejoice in steadfast hearts and steadfast hearts rejoice in Me. I rest in steadfast hearts and steadfast hearts rest in Me. I am refreshed by steadfast hearts and steadfast hearts are refreshed in Me.

What is a steadfast heart? Always look to My Word as the source of definition, explanation, and instruction. For all things I tell you to have or do are defined in My Word along with the instruction on how to do what I have commanded and how to receive what I have promised.

My psalmist David sang, “My heart is steadfast, O God; I will sing, I will sing praises, even with my soul. Awake, harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn! I will give thanks to You, O LORD, among the peoples, and I will sing praises to You among the nations.” Psalm 108:1-2.

So to begin we see a characteristic of a steadfast heart is that it sings praises, not only in the heart, but with the soul as well. The soul is your mind, your will, and your emotions. And that in the darkness you wake the dawn with your song. You bring in the light in a dark place. Joy comes in the morning. And he does not just sing thanks and praise alone in his room but among the peoples and the nations. He is witnessing to My goodness without fear. He is confident.

And now turn to Psalm 112 for further clarity on a steadfast heart. This Psalm is about the man who fears Me, that is, the one who reveres Me, which is defined as greatly delighting in My commands. In other words, doing My Will as written out in My Word is his delight and he is careful to do so even in the face of the opposition. He will never be shaken. He does not fear evil tidings (a bad report) because his heart is STEADFAST. TRUSTING IN THE LORD HIS HEART IS UPHELD, HE WILL NOT FEAR. Psalm 112:6-8.

A steadfast heart is one which is unwavering in time of trouble, temptation, or test, it has no fear of evil because it trusts in Me and I uphold that heart. There is no snatching out of My hand when you have committed your life to Me in faithful trust.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30.

My prophet Isaiah, to whom I showed the glory of Jesus, sums up the steadfast heart for you and then My Son instructs you how to have a steadfast heart that never wavers off course, for a steadfast heart is the heart of the overcomer. So I think by now you see where I am going, for everything you receive from Me is by faith. And faith, your precious faith that you share with the patriarchs, prophets, apostles, and all the saints, is what overcomes the world.

The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect (שָׁל֣וֹם) peace (שָׁל֣וֹם), because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for in God the LORD, we have an everlasting Rock. Isaiah 26:3-4.

One who is steadfast in heart, mind, soul and purpose is the one who trusts in Me forever, who has sunk his foundations, his roots, deep into Me and will not budge off the everlasting Rock of My Word. You can trust in My Word for I am My Word.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1.

I spoke in various ways and time to you in the prophets, so that putting together what they spoke over many years you have a full picture of the life of My Son, your Messiah and Lord, but now I speak directly to you through My Son, for My Word became flesh and dwelt among you and is your way, your truth, and your life. My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. But you must study them and grow in faith by reading, hearing, speaking, and doing them. For the victory that overcomes the world is your faith in Me, by My Word and by My love as manifested to you in Christ Jesus. In seeing Him, you see Me. And He went about doing good and healing ALL who were oppressed by the devil. He came to undo the works of the devil. You need not fear.

How did My Son tell you to have a steadfast heart? By building your life upon and then resting on the everlasting rock.

“Therefore everyone who HEARS these words of Mine and DOES them, is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock. Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell—and great was its fall.” Matthew 7:24-27.

Sand conforms to your body, that is to your lusts and desires, a rock does not, but sand shifts in a storm but rock does not. Sand may be comfortable at the moment but it will not hold you in a storm.

You must build your lives on the everlasting rock of My Word. I am the everlasting rock. I am the only one that will remain in a shaking. The heavens (first and second) and earth will pass away in the corrupted form you know them now, but My Word will NEVER pass away. Why? It is incorruptible for it is the truth.

Lies are perishable, the truth is imperishable. The truth is forever. Lies are but for the moment. Truth is immortal. Lies are mortal. And that is what happened to Adam when he rejected incorruptible, imperishable seed of My Word (truth) and submitted to the corruptible, perishable seed of the word of the devil (lies), he was created eternal by the Word of truth and recreated mortal by the word of a lie.

Thus, you were all born physically according to Adam’s corruptible, perishable seed. But the good news is that by faith in the Word made flesh, My Son, who was birthed from above according to humanity by the incorruptible, imperishable seed of My Word, and raised from the dead by the incorruptible Word and My Spirit, you too are born again from above by the imperishable seed of My Word and receive eternal life. The life which Adam murdered and lost for you all, Jesus has regained for you all. Adam lost it all, Jesus regained it all. He came to undo the works of the devil for each one who believes in Him. In Him you are born again from above by regeneration in the Word by My Spirit.

A steadfast heart is what My Son would call great faith. I can entrust one who has a steadfast heart with much. A steadfast heart pleases Me for it is one of faith. It is impossible to please Me without faith because to even come to Me you must believe that I AM and that I reward the ones who seek Me. In other words you believe that I am above all, that My Word is final authority, and that I am good, not only good but that I am love.

What is the faith that overcomes the world? It is the person who has come to know and believe in the love that I have for that person, the person that knows I am for them and not against them and am making all things work together for good on their behalf.

We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:16-19.

This I know that God is for me. In God, whose Word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise. Psalm 56:9-10.

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.

If you trust Me in everything and anything, the I can trust you with everything and anything. If you do not trust Me, I cannot trust you to carry out My Word. Without faith, you will never be an overcomer. You will retreat in defeat before Satan when all the time you could have put him to flight.

Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7.

You can put him under your feet where he belongs by answering his lies and unclean spirits with the truth of My Word that refutes what he is saying to you. And then, as Jesus told you, cast him out in the Name of Jesus.

Never budge off the everlasting rock.

I waited waited for the LORD; and He inclined to me and heard my cry. He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, and He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the LORD. How blessed is the man who has made the LORD his trust. Psalm 40:1-4.

And there he is out of the pit onto the rock with a new song, a song of praise to Me, in his mouth. The steadfast heart rejoices, and the expression of rejoicing is a song of praise.

Examine your heart, if you find fear, complaining, grumbling, and resentment in your heart it is not a steadfast heart. How do you fix that? Enlarge your heart. Faith comes by hearing and hearing My Word, and singing it with praise for glorious outcomes accelerates the enlarging of you heart. Grow your faith my paying careful attention to what you see and hear, that is, what you allow into your heart.

And He was saying to them, “Take care what you listen to. By your standard of measure it will be measured to you; and more will be given you besides. For whoever has, to him more shall be given; and whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.” Mark 4:24-25.

The steadfast heart is a grateful heart. What does it say before Me? “I don’t deserve anything, but you gave me everything.” Jesus did all the work, you came into His gain. Do not fear little flock, it has pleased Me to give you the Kingdom. You are with Me always and everything I have is yours. Including My Son.

A steadfast heart is a fully persuaded heart.

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Romans 4:18-21.

I so love you that I gave you My Son that you might live your life though Him. His merits are yours. Let your heart sing! I am for you. And when I am for you, who can be against you? I AM the Most High. I will never leave you or forsake you. I gave you My Son for your salvation, and I will give you all things with Him. In fact, I have already given you every spiritual blessing in Heaven in Him and seated you there in spirit at My right hand. You can trust Me, I gave you your life and I saved you for eternal life, why would I ever want anything but good for you?

O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord. 1 Corinthians 15:55-58.

My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises! Psalm 57:7.
