I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:

The anointing takes you to the finish line with joy. The race I anoint you to run can only be completed with joy. The anointing takes you across on the heights, with eagle’s wings and hind’s feet.

Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:30-31.

Others will plod along weary and defeated, and some never make it to the finish line before they depart this life for eternity. Why? They let their lamps burn out by not counting their precious life and race as all joy.

“Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and a glad heart, for the abundance of all things; therefore you shall serve your enemies whom the LORD will send against you, in hunger, in thirst, in nakedness, and in the lack of all things; and he (the destroyer) will put an iron yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you.” Deuteronomy 28:47-48.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? I AM the Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth. I do not ever become weary or tired. I neither slumber or sleep. I am always ready to help you, to carry you through any trouble, to rescue you and satisfy you with a long life of good days.

I give strength to the weary, I give Jesus to you so you can live your life through Him and you can do all things in Him who strengthens you. And to him who lacks might I increase power. The anointing takes down the mountains and raises up the valleys, until you have level ground to run your race upon.

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. Let Your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For the sake of Your name, O LORD, revive me. In Your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble. Psalm 143:10-11.

John the Baptist came to announce the coming of the anointed One and the anointing, to prepare the people to receive so great a salvation. And what did he say about himself, well, actually, what had My Spirit foretold about him through the prophet Isaiah?

A voice of one calling out in the wilderness, “Clear the way for the LORD; make smooth in the desert a highway for our God. Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; and let the rough ground become a plain, and the rugged terrain a broad valley; then the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together.” Isaiah 40:3-5.

The anointing gives you a royal highway in the middle of the wilderness where most are wandering, and along that path the desert blooms, rivers run, the weary are refreshed, the blind see, the deaf hear, the lame leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sings for joy! Isaiah 35:1- 7. It is the path out of darkness into light, the way of righteousness where your good Shepherd, the anointed One who anoints your head with oil, the oil of joy, till your cup overflows, is leading you. And that Way is called the Highway of Holiness, and it is a joyful journey to the finish line, which is the heavenly Zion, the mountain of grace, the church of the firstborn.

A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and fools will not wander on it. No lion will be there, nor will any vicious beast go up on it; these will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there, and the ransomed of the LORD will return and come with joyful singing and shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 35:8-10.

And I have just described how the course of your life, your race, should be for you. A joyful highway of holiness taking you higher and higher above your adversary the devil until he cannot even come on your roadway, he cannot even get a toehold on it. It is a way of ascent. I always take you on higher paths, the devil tries to pull you down onto lower ones. Take the high road with Me and let the devil wallow in the dirt. Do not join him.

And it is a smooth road of the flow of the Spirit in you and upon you. Mountains will rise up in your way that try to stop you going forward, making it look impossible to cross, and valleys will sink down to keep you in the pit of despair, but the anointing takes down mountains and raises up the valleys to clear the way for the Salvation. Learn from what I taught Zerubbabel when it looked like the surrounding enemy nations would keep My house from being rebuilt.

“This is the Word of the Lord to Zerubbabel saying, ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the LORD of hosts. ‘What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become a plain; and he will bring forth the chief corner stone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’ Zechariah 4:6-7.

Grace and the anointing are intertwined, you cannot have one without the other. Grace and the anointing both have to do with My Spirit, My very life, power, skill, ability, nature, and attributes, being in you and on you. The anointing is My love in your heart, poured in by the gift of My Spirit, and grace is attaching to the vine of Jesus and letting My life flow into you by the Spirit and produce fruit in your life.

And after taking down the mountain in the way of his race, I had another Word for Zerubbabel, it was sandwiched in between two lessons on the flow of the anointing.

Also the Word of the LORD came to me, saying, “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, and his hands will finish it. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. For who has despised the day of small things? But these seven will be glad when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel—these are the eyes of the LORD which range to and fro throughout the earth.” Zechariah 4:8-10.

I am watching you with love and cheering you on with your whole family of believers, the church, in Heaven and on earth. Run so as to win, and if you finish your race, you will win because no one else has the exact same race. Stay in your lane, not someone else’s, you will only soar with eagle’s wings in your own lane.

I love you. Run the good race, keep the faith, and cast all your cares on Me. But remember, you will only successfully make it all the way to the finish line with joy, the oil of joy. And the anointing is your strength. Enjoy your journey for if you walk in the truth it will be a prosperous one.
