And hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:5.

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלוהים) says:

Only overcomers enter the Kingdom. This means you must never give up your hope until it comes to pass. And it will. My promises are sure, if you persevere, for it is by faith and patience that you inherit the promises.

And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end, so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. Hebrews 6:11-12.

Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the evidence (title deed) to things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. Hope is the confident expectation that all My good promises will come to pass for you. But it is not passive, it moves you forward to take by faith the hope to which I have called you. And faith works through love, that is, knowing and believing in the love I have for YOU.

Joshua and Caleb believed My promise of a land flowing with milk and honey that they would take by divine inheritance. They knew it was sure for I had promised the land to the descendants of Abraham and had sworn My promises to Abraham by oath and sealed them with an everlasting Covenant. But because of the unbelief of their peers and the refusal of the vast majority of their generation to go in and take the land, they had to wait forty years wandering in the wilderness to even begin to enter the land.

But they never lost hope and hope did not disappoint because I have poured My love in your hearts.

Then the LORD answered me and said, “Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay. Habakkuk 2-3.

When I have given you a vision, as I did to Joseph the son of Jacob, do not draw back and give up until it comes to pass. Joshua and Caleb, with ten other men had gone in to spy out the land I had promised them, and they found it to be exactly as I had described it in fruitfulness and beauty, but it was also filled with strong inhabitants that had fortified cities and weapons of war. But no matter how formidable it looked, Joshua and Caleb knew I had promised it to them and that I was bigger than the biggest obstacle. In other words, nothing is too hard for Me for I am the Most High. And by Covenant, I was with them to do good to them and not evil, to give them a future and a HOPE. The word for hope in Hebrew, the language of the Old Testament is “Tikvah,” which literally means a cord. The red cord of the blood of Jesus that is woven into every one of My magnificent promises to you.

“Only do not rebel against the LORD; and do not fear the people of the land, for they will be our bread. Their protection has been removed from them, and the LORD is with us; do not fear them.” But all the congregation said to stone them with stones. Then the glory of the LORD appeared in the tent of meeting to all the sons of Israel. Numbers 14:9-10.

And I swore that it would be done to the people just as they declared, that no one would enter the land I promised of that generation except Joshua and Caleb because they had a different spirit. Their peers had the spirit of fear, which is not from Me, but Joshua and Caleb had the spirit of faith and followed Me fully. And even though they had to wait forty years until that fearful generation died off in the wilderness as they had foretold, Joshua and Caleb led the next generation into the land I promised them and conquered it with miracles, signs, and wonders. All My good promises to them came to pass—forty years later than I had wanted it to but the vision was still there, recorded down by Moses, for those to take up who would run with it.

Most people are not as tenacious as Caleb and Joshua, they drop their vision when it does not come to pass quickly. But if you are committed to Me, then you are faithful to My Word, for I am My Word, and if you love Me, you love My Word. And you know that you shall have it if you just do not give up and turn back.

Have you found at times when you are ready to give up your dreams, that I send someone right at that moment with a word from Me that encourages you and gives you new hope and holy fire to continue on with the dream?

“Behold, God does all these oftentimes with men, to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of life.” Job 33:29-30.

And even when no one comes to encourage you, then, as David did after the raid on Ziklag, you can encourage yourself in Me by declaring My promises and your dream until it comes to pass. Rejoice in Me always, again I say rejoice! I have good things for you.

The Lord (Adonai) LORD (Ahavah) has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. Isaiah 50:4.

My Son is My Word made flesh and He always has a Word from Me to speak to your heart to revive you and raise you up with new life, like He did for the two discouraged disciples on their way to Emmaus.

They said to one another, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?” Luke 24:32.

He comes to be at your side to encourage you and give you new hope. And He does it by giving you revelation from My Word about who He is to you and who you are in Him.

These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:11.

The encouragement comes in My Word, for My Words are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh. I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from all your destructions (pits). It is My Word that revives you, for you were made by My Word and My Word sustains you through time and eternity. I will be proved true and My Word will always come to pass, but if you reject it and will not receive it, you will not be part of the victory nor share in the blessings that result.

So how do you keep yourself in hope until My Word comes to pass? In the same way I told Joshua to assure the promises were realized in his life. You keep My Word before your eyes day and night and do not turn away from it to the right or the left until you have what I have promised. You continue to rejoice in My good promise to you, the vision I gave you, until it come to pass. And you can be assured that it will if you do not draw back and give up, as the generation of Israelites I redeemed from slavery did. They missed out in the most glorious journey into prosperity and blessing all because they let go of My Word for the words of the evil one. They thought they were telling it like it was, but I called what they said an evil report. It was without faith and full of fear. It was an insult and dishonor to Me after all the miracles and mighty works they had seen when I took them out of the slavery of Egypt to the freedom of being My own special treasure. But they would not rest in Me. They fought Me every step of the way by complaining, grumbling, fault-finding, and whining.

Now let Me tell you what I revealed to Joshua. He did this and all My good promises were realized in his life.

“Only be strong and very courageous; be careful to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, so that you may have success wherever you go. This book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9.

If you want to live like the Kingdom on earth, you must think Kingdom thoughts. Those who live fearful, tormented, and defeated lives are not thinking Kingdom thoughts but carnal, devilish ones. They may not agree with that and say they are holy, as the Israelites said but thoughts contrary to Mine are not from Me. I did not give you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound self-controlled mind. A mind out of control is not the mind of a disciple, for a disciple is one who continues in My Word and knows that truth that sets him free. Free of torment, fear, anxiety, bitterness, anger, and defeat. Free of giving up and giving in to a life of sin and mediocrity. For anything done without faith is sin.

What I told Joshua to do will give you success, authority, prosperity, and freedom just as it did him. It made him more than a conqueror. My Son likened it to a branch abiding in the vine and drawing all its life and goodness from the vine so that it produced the fruit of the vine. When you abide in My Word and My Word abides in you it is My divine life flowing into you, My grace, giving you everything you need for life and godliness. My Word in you makes you become a partaker of My divine nature and plants the imperishable seed in your heart that is able to save your soul and give you eternal life.

There is so much in My instructions to Joshua that I will continue to explain it to you in the next Life Lesson.

I love you. Never give up your high calling in Christ. Never give up the vision I have given you. Never draw back from My promises. Never give up your hope. Hang the red cord in your window and keep it always before your eyes. Like Rahab. It speaks of the Salvation that is yours in Christ Jesus, your hope.

Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised. For yet in a very little while, He who is coming will come, and will not delay. But My righteous one shall live by faith; and if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him. But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul. Hebrews 10:35-39.
