Be dressed in readiness, and keep your lamps lit. Be like men who are waiting for their master when he returns from the wedding feast, so that they may immediately open the door to him when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master will find on the alert when he comes; truly I say to you, that he will gird himself to serve, and have them recline at the table, and will come up and wait on them. Luke 12:35-37.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The narrow way is a way of preparation that richly provides your entrance into the eternal Kingdom when your time in mortal flesh is ended. Do not let the day or hour catch you off guard, what I say to you, I say to all, be prepared. You do not know the day or the hour your life will be required of you.
“For what is the hope of the godless when he is cut off, when God requires his life?” Job 27:8.
If I came for you right now, would you be prepared to run out to meet Me in the light showing Me all the beauties of your day? Or would you be like the rich man in the parable My Son told that had not grown rich toward Me but toward his flesh?
Then He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.” And He told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man was very productive. And he began reasoning to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’ Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.”’ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’ So is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” Luke 12:15-21.
What is the first thing I look for in your life? You should know that answer if you know My Word for I tell you that it is IMPOSSIBLE to please Me without it.
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6.
And what did My Son tell you He would be looking for when He returns to catch you up to My Kingdom?
However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find the faith on the earth?” Luke 18:8.
I am looking for faith in your heart, but not just any faith, THE faith.
To those who have received a faith of the same kind (isotimos (ἰσότιμος):equivalent and equal value) as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ: Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord; seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:1-3.
The word of God kept on spreading; and the number of the disciples continued to increase greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were becoming obedient to the faith. Acts 6:7.
Eternal life is to know Me, the One true God, and the One I sent, Jesus Christ your Lord. It is to seek first My Kingdom and My way of righteousness. Not by works to obtain your own righteousness, which sinful flesh cannot do, but righteousness by faith in Jesus. And once I have accounted all your sins to Jesus and released you from them by His blood, paying divine justice in full on your behalf, you are made righteous with My own righteousness in Christ. It is at that point that your good deeds are works flowing from your righteousness in Christ that are worthy of reward. And this is the faith I am speaking of, the gospel of your salvation.
In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13-14.
Jesus had not yet died and released you from your sins at the time of Abraham, but I credited his faith in My promises as righteousness ahead of time, which I did for all those born before Jesus who had faith in My Word and the blood of the lamb as righteousness. But I preached the Gospel to Abraham ahead of time and he saw the day of Jesus and rejoiced over so great a salvation
All these died in faith, without receiving the promises, but having seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and having confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own. And indeed if they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had opportunity to return. But as it is, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for He has prepared a city for them. Hebrews 11:13-16.
The gate to My Kingdom is open wide to the righteous and in Christ that is who you are. But it gets even better for those who have believed the gospel of Salvation, that is, in the forgiveness of their sins in Jesus, for He is the gate. John 10:9.
This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous will enter through it. I shall give thanks to You, for You have answered me, and You have become my salvation. The stone which the builders rejected
Has become the chief corner stone. This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. This is the day which the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:20-24.
So Jesus said to them again, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly. John 10:7-10.
So the first thing in preparation for eternity is to have the faith, which is faith in Jesus as your salvation from the wrath to come and to have confessed Him as your Lord. In Jesus ministry faith in Him was key to every healing that took place. He would ask, “Do you believe that I can do this?” and once the answer was in the affirmative, the miracle manifested. No faith, no miracle. Remember His home town of Nazareth? Their lack of faith made it impossible for any miracles to take place there. No connection, no protection. Why? No authorization for Me to act.
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. Romans 10:8-10.
Next, I am looking at your faith in My goodness.
O taste and see that the LORD is good; how blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! O fear the LORD, you His saints; for to those who fear Him there is no want. The young lions do lack and suffer hunger; but they who seek the LORD shall not be in want of any good thing. Psalm 34:8-10.
Remember it is impossible to please Me without faith, but a certain kind of faith, faith that I reward those who seek Me. To always receive from Me you must have faith in My goodness and that I will never reject you or harm you or allow you who have faith in Me to remain in a harmful, painful or abusive situation. In Jesus, I always provide you a way out. Even if I have to part the Red Sea for you to be delivered. And what kind of faith is that? That is FAITH IN MY LOVE FOR YOU. Faith works by love.
We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us. 1 John 4:16-19.
Then I look at what you have been busy about. Blessed are you if I find you busy about My business. That is good preparation for My coming.
Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time? Blessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. Matthew 24:45-47.
What is My business? Look at Jesus because He always did what pleased Me.
So Jesus said, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM, and I do nothing on My own initiative, but I speak these things as the Father taught Me. And He who sent Me is with Me; He has not left Me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to Him.” John 8:28-29.
He came to do My Will. And My Will was and is His delight.
Then I said, “Behold, I come; in the scroll of the book it is written of Me. I delight to do Your will, O My God; Your Law is within My heart.” Psalm 40:7-8.
There was much written about Jesus in the scrolls of the Bible, the Spirit of prophecy is the testimony of Jesus, but when Jesus opened the scroll of the book of Isaiah at the beginning of His public ministry on earth as one like you, He read the passage that defined being busy about My business in the world.
And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the scroll and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the LORD.” And He closed the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” Luke 4:17-21.
He came to proclaim glad tidings of great joy for all the people, to tell the good news of salvation and redemption from the curse of the law to the poor, to proclaim release to captives (those captive to others, to themselves, to addictions, to bitterness, to hatred, to torment, to the devil), recovery of sight to the blind (spiritual, physical, and emotional), to open your eyes to the light of the truth, to set the oppressed free (free from sickness, poverty, fear, and eternal death), to heal the broken hearted. And what else did He tell you He came to do? He came to cast fire on the earth, the fire of My love poured into your hearts by My Spirit. He came to call sinners to repentance. He came to serve you and Me. He kept My commandments. He came to seek out and save the lost. He came to undo the works of the devil. He came to give you the gift of the Holy Spirit in you and with you always.
He preached and taught the good news of the Kingdom, He healed the sick, He raised the dead, He cleansed the leper, He forgave sins, He healed the lame, He cast out demons. He multiplied supplies to feed vast numbers of people. And He told you that you would do the works He did and greater. How? In His Name, that is, using His authority that He won back for you as Son of Man.
It is time you seriously looked at your life. What are you doing with most of your time? Are you growing rich towards Me or only towards yourself?
For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Galatians 6:8.
People today do not like things to take time. They do not like preparation, they want everything immediately. What are you preparing for? It is faith and patience that win the prize.
I love you. This is enough for you to chew on today, tomorrow we will continue with the way of preparation with the list of preparation for entrance into the eternal Kingdom that My apostle Peter has given you from the Holy Spirit.
