For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
There is eternal life and there is eternal death. Adam had eternal life but when he sinned and broke off from his relationship with Me, he received a sentence of eternal death. Apart from your source you are like a fish out of water, you cannot survive. I am your source. I am the source of all life but I created you in My image and according to My likeness. You were born out of Me. You came forth from Me. When I created the plants I spoke to the dirt,
Then God said, “Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them”; and it was so. The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit with seed in them, after their kind; and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:11-12.
When I created the fish, I spoke to the sea.
Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.” God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:20-21.
When I made the cattle and creatures I again spoke to the dirt.
Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind”; and it was so. God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:24-25.
But when I had everything in place for your home and all the systems working, I created you in an entirely different manner, I spoke to Myself. You came forth from Me to rule over the works of My hands.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:26-28.
You came from deep within My heart, planned from everlasting to everlasting. You were made to be one with Me.
You must be attached, pulled in, brought back into your source again to live. John 14:3. But once you are dead to Me by cutting yourself off from your source, how do you live again and not perish forever? I have answered that question.
As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” John 3:14-17.
Jesus answered and said to him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again from above he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I said to you, ‘You must be born again from above. The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:3-8.
In Adam you left the heavenly realm where you had been birthed by My imperishable Word of truth and entered into the fleshly realm devoid of spirit born again of the perishable seed of the lies of the devil. You must be born again from above by the truth, which is My imperishable Word believed in your heart. You must be created anew in truth, you must be grafted back into the vine. We must be reconciled. And to reconcile there must be repentance on the side of the one who departed and forgiveness on the side of the one rejected. But it is even better when not only is there repentance combined with forgiveness but when there is also a total roll back of the offense as if it never occurred. If that is the case, there is no remembrance of it, only the joy of a new life together forever. Behold! I make all things new. Especially the born again you.
And once you have the imperishable seed of My Word planted and growing in your soul and spirit you have eternal life in you. Your spirit is again alive to Me and dead to sin and My Spirit can join with yours in witnessing that you are My children and joint heirs with Christ to all that is Mine. And My Spirit is in testifies to you that your sins and offenses I remember NO MORE.
But there is much more once you are in Christ Jesus. You are called to My eternal glory and to My Kingdom now and forever. You have the opportunity for greatness, for I have stooped (taken flesh in Jesus) to make you great. Jesus joins humanity and divinity as one. He fits humanity into divinity and divinity into humanity—Christ in you, your hope of glory!
And JESUS IS THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. You have resurrection power in you. When you believed in the good news of your salvation, I sealed you in Him by the Holy Spirit as a pledge of eternal redemption—spirit, soul, and body. I gave you to Him and commanded Him to lose nothing of what I gave Him but to raise you up on the last day. You are secure with Me in Him.
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die.” John 11:25-26.
In Jesus, you are justified, sanctified, and glorified by being reconciled to Me though the removal of your sins and satisfaction of the judgment against you. Jesus paid all you owed Me by His precious blood. Do you understand this? Let Me explain or you will not understand how Jesus released you from your sins by His blood.
When Adam pulled out of Me and was born again from a lie and made the devil his new master and father, he lost eternal life. Eternal life is in Me and he was no longer joined with Me but with the one condemned to hell for his treachery, that is, Satan. And Satan put Adam in fear. Fear of what? Punishment and death. But not from Me. From Adam’s own rejection of Me. He could have repented and returned but he did not.
Adam thus murdered eternal life in himself and for all his descendants for all would come from his corrupted, perishable seed. But the only way to satisfy divine justice for a life lost is to give a life in return. A life for a life and the life is in the blood. To be alive in this world as I have made you, you must have blood coursing through your bodies transporting nutrition, oxygen, and many other important duties and substances. Your life is in your blood. You want good, healthy, pure, noncontaminated blood.
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood by reason of the life that makes atonement. Leviticus 17:11.
But after Adam brought death into the world by sin it spread to all his descendants for his seed determined the blood. So there was no man with an eternal life to give for the eternal life Adam murdered and lost. It was a hopeless situation without Me in the world.
But I rescued you by coming down Myself, My own arm clothed in your flesh, to reach down, save you and pull you back into Myself. Jesus, the second and last Adam, true God and true Man born from above by My imperishable Word of truth in the virgin’s womb with no taint of the blood from Adam’s seed just as I had foretold in the Garden of Eden, the Lamb slain since the foundation of the world, the chief cornerstone of the earth and all that is therein.
For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything. For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven. And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach. Colossians 1:13-22.
He is the only way your sins can be removed and you can be born again from above. No one comes to Me except through Him. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the resurrection and the life. In Him you are drawn back into your source, that is, into Me. And to be drawn in you must be sin free. And by His blood you are and by His life you live.
After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also. John 14:19.
BECAUSE HE LIVES, YOU LIVE. He took all your sins on Himself, like the unblemished lamb of old, and He gave His purity and righteousness to you. And then He took your punishment for sin and died the death. He went to the dust of death. And if He had stayed in that realm of darkness, you would still be in your sins. But when I raised Him up without a sin on Him any longer you too were set free. The Resurrection means you are justified with judgment satisfied and paid in full.
The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given concerning His Son. And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life. 1 John 5:10-13.
But there is another requirement for eternal life. Let Jesus tell you. It is Covenant, the new and everlasting Covenant of love that has no limits.
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. 54 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. 55 For My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever.” John 6:53-58.
Three things are required for eternal life rather than eternal death since Adam abdicated his throne to the devil:
- Believe in that Jesus is My Son. When you do believe that He is Lord and that I raised Him from the dead with all your sins gone, you are released from your sins by His blood.
And He was saying to them, “You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.” John 8:23-24.
But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:8-13.
- Be born again from above as My child by the imperishable seed of My Word.
For you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God. For, “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls off, but the word of the LORD endures forever.” And this is the word which was preached to you. 1 Peter 1:23-25.
For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ. Romans 8:15-17.
- Eat the Body and drink the Blood of Jesus in Holy Communion.
So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in yourselves. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. John 6:53-54.
For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26.
And this was not a new concept, Melchizedek came to Abraham bringing bread and wine and Abraham tithed to him. I taught Abraham the Gospel ahead of time. The bread and wine of the covenant meal proclaims the death of Jesus until He comes, made new to you each time you receive as if happening then, for it is an eternal sacrifice for every generation. And the result is tithing by which I open the windows of Heaven to you and rebuke the devourer. The communion declares His death and the tithing declares He lives. Jesus is the High Priest who receives your tithes and offerings.
The Passover Lamb was eaten with unleavened bread and cups of wine.
The lamb of the burnt offering every morning and every evening in the Tabernacle of Moses and later in the Temple of Solomon and the second temple as well, was offered with unleavened bread and a hin of wine.
I speak often of the grain, the wine, and the oil to denote prosperity, blessing, and favor. The bread and the wine that changes into the heavenly substance of My Son’s body and blood, and the anointing of the Spirit, the oil of joy.
There is much more to say but that is enough for this Life Lesson.
I love you. You who have Jesus, have eternal life for He is the resurrection and the life and He is in you, your hope of glory. I will raise you up to be with Me forever. In Me and of Me, in My image and according to My likeness.
See how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we would be called children of God; and such we are. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. And everyone who has this hope fixed on Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. 1 John 3:1-3.
