How lovely are Your dwelling places, O LORD of hosts! My soul longed and even yearned for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God. Psalm 84:1-2.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
When you are IN CHRIST you are in the most beautiful place to be. He is your promised land, He is your wealthy place, He is your refuge and your stronghold. And when you are in Christ you are beautiful too, the fairest of them all.
My heart overflows with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. You are fairer than the sons of men; grace is poured upon Your lips; therefore God has blessed You forever. Psalm 45:1-2.
My mouth is all sweetness (My promises to you in Christ are sweeter than honey dripping from the comb) and I am altogether lovely, there is no fault in Me, My way is perfect, and in Jesus I have made you perfect as well.
For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. Hebrews 10:14.
I have made you altogether lovely before Me in Christ, in Him I have recreated you to the YOU I made you to be.
For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation (Yeshuah, which is the name of Jesus). Psalm 149:4..
Holy, blameless and beyond reproach. In Jesus, I have made you as if sin had never been.
And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach. Colossians 1:21-22.
I have always loved you, from everlasting to everlasting I am your dwelling place but so few take advantage of finding their rest in Me, in the beauty of holiness. I have made you My dwelling place, for when you are in Christ, My Spirit dwells in you, and with My Holy Spirit in you, you too are made holy. There is great joy in being holy. Holy is being free of vices and the sin that so easily ensnares you. Holiness is living constantly in My glory, which is the manifestation of My goodness, My presence and My power.
One of My Covenant promise names is that I am the LORD who sanctifies you, I am the LORD who makes you holy. Holiness has to do with a pure heart, a heart like My heart. And in Christ, by My Word, I have recreated you to give you that.
Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will be careful to observe My ordinances. Ezekiel 36:25-27.
David longed to dwell in My house, to continually gaze upon My beauty and inquire of Me in My abode of all that concerned his life. I gave him his battle plans and gave him victory over all his enemies. I was with him wherever he went. I was there to help him.
You have what David longed for, for I have made you My dwelling place by My Spirit in your heart and you can enjoy that place within you all your days. You do not have to let the devil oppress you when you have so lovely a place to dwell where the evil one cannot touch you. He cannot enter holiness for there is no holiness in him, only darkness and fear. Holiness puts you in the light and puts a spotlight on you. The glory shines. And I made you clothed in glory and honor, wrapped in light as if a cloak. But when Adam and Eve sinned the glory left them and they were naked, stripped of glory by sin, and their life became oppressive and toilsome. Sin is always the wrong choice, it brings a burden that you cannot bear because you were not made to sin, it cuts your life short and works havoc on your mind and body.
Do not even touch sin, it will do nothing but defile you and rob you of your beautiful life of resting in Me prosperous, healed, and free.
I give you a psalm about My dwelling place, and since that is who are in Christ and I am yours when you are in Christ let us look at Psalm 84.
In Psalm 84, I reveal many things to you—great and mighty things which you could not know of the magnificent things I have prepared for you. I share them with you by My Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2:10-16; Jeremiah 33:3.
The Psalm begins, “How beloved is your dwelling place (mishkan, which means tabernacle, dwelling place, it is the word I used to describe the tabernacle (dwelling place) which I gave the plans to Moses to prepare in the wilderness when they came out of Egypt, Exodus 25:9) O LORD of hosts!” Psalm 84:1. You should perk up here because I have told you who have received Jesus as LORD that you are My dwelling place and a temple of the Holy Spirit. I rescued you from the realm of darkness and transferred you to the Kingdom of My beloved Son. In Him you are My beloved—a beloved abode of Mine where I dwell in all the fullness of the Kingdom.
So you should pay close attention to this Psalm for it is about you and My Kingdom, My dwelling place. When the sons of Korah composed this Psalm they were longing, yearning for what the Spirit was showing them would be yours in Christ. Until you are born again by your faith in Christ Jesus, you cannot enter My Kingdom. John 3:5. All they had at that time was the promise and the physical building of the temple where My presence and glory would outwardly manifest.
Now you have the entrance, the living Way, to access the Kingdom within. And they knew you would and explained that to you. Have you noted it? I will show you. But you must learn to discern these things in the Spirit so that you can access and receive the things I have prepared for and freely given to those who love Me. 1 Corinthians 2:9, 12. And they are beyond all you can ask or imagine. Ephesians 3:20. So you need to access them by the Spirit, who will lead you on and guide you by My Word, which is truth.
Please note verses 4 and 5. “How happy (esher, which is from ashar, meaning happy, blessed, prosperous, it is not the usual word used for “bless” which is barak) are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising you. How happy is the man whose strength You are, IN WHOSE HEART (and here the word I used is “lebab” which means inner man, inner realm of the heart (spirit), the word for heart is “lev”) IS THE HIGHWAY (mesillah: a highway, from the word “calal” which means a thoroughfare (as turnpiked), specifically a viaduct, a staircase, ladder– causeway, course, highway, path, terrace) to Zion (My Heavenly Kingdom).” Are you starting to get excited? You have in your inner man of the heart, your born-again spirit, the highway, the staircase, the ladder that Jacob dreamed of and Jesus fulfilled, and as His Body you now fulfill, that is directly into an open Heaven from which angels ascend and descend into the earth to serve the heirs of salvation through you! Have you never read: “But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the Judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood, which speaks better than the blood of Abel.” Hebrews 12:22-24.
And you have the Way there, access to the Holy Highway right into Zion. Have you never read, and it is about you, “Therefore, brethren, since we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful; and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:19-25.
The Highway of Holiness is within your inner man of the heart, the spirit man, your true self, for you have a spirit, a soul and a body. The body, your flesh, is perishable still, it will be redeemed to a glorified and heavenly body when Jesus returns, but for now it still awaits that day. Your spirit and soul, however, are eternal and are in the state now they will be for eternity if you are born-again from above in Jesus. So you have the Way in you now directly to My throne of grace and the heavenly city of Zion, the new Jerusalem (just read Revelation 21 and 22 and you will get a glimpse of what you are able to enter in the spirit realm even now. And Isaiah foretold that highway: “A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that way, and fools will not wander on it. No lion will be there, nor will any vicious beast go up on it; these will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there, and the ransomed of the Lord will return and come with joyful shouting to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away.” Isaiah 35:8-11.
I would like to share with you a few more things about the highway (staircase, ascent) in your inner man of the heart, the spirit realm you access in your heart. As I stated before the Hebrew word used that you will see translated “highway” or “path” is mesillah which is from the word calal. In Genesis 28 you will find the first mention of this ladder, staircase or highway to Heaven. “Then Jacob departed from Beersheba and went toward Haran. He came to a certain place and spent the night there, because the sun had set; and he took one of the stones of the place and put it under his head, and lay down in that place. He had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it. And behold, the Lord stood [h]above it and said, “I am the Lord, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac; the land on which you lie, I will give it to you and to your descendants. descendants will also be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east and to the north and to the south; and in you and in your shall all the families of the earth be blessed. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.” Genesis 28:10-17. The word for ladder is sullam which is from salal which is taken from calal, which means a staircase, ladder or path of ascent. Jesus later told Nathaniel, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see the heavens opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” John 1:51. An open Heaven over Jesus and now over you. Myriads upon myriads of angles are ready to serve you who are heirs of salvation. Hebrews 1:14. And you have the Way into the Kingdom and are the way that blessings come out of the Kingdom to the earth. You only have to partner with Me and we can do great and mighty things beyond all you can ask, dream or imagine. Will you dream of Me as Jacob did and let My Spirit lead you to do mighty exploits for the Kingdom together with My holy angels?
You love, seek, and dwell with Me within the inner realm of your heart. When you seek Me in our heart, you will find Me there with you.
Remember the word “lebab” I shared with you from Psalm 84. It means the inner person of your heart, who you are inside, not outside. For I look at your heart. What I see going on with the outward man is a reflection of what is going on in the inner man. For you speak from your heart’s abundance. People who have learned to access and abide in the Kingdom are generally happy, healthy, and doing well. Let Me share a few verses where I use the word “lebab,” and not just “lev” (heart). “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart (lebab) and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart (lebab).” Deuteronomy 6:5-6. And again, “Behold, to the Lord your God belong heaven and the highest heavens, the earth and all that is in it. Yet on your fathers did the Lord set His affection to love them, and He chose their descendants after them, even you above all peoples, as it is this day. So circumcise your heart (lebab), and stiffen your neck no longer. For the Lord your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe. He executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and shows His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing.” Deuteronomy 11:3. Paul understood the inner man of the heart. He wrote: “Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form, and in Him you have been made complete, and He is the head over all rule and authority; and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ; having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.” Colossians 2:6-15.
In Christ, I have qualified you for the inheritance of the saints in light. I have rescued you from the power of darkness and transferred you to the Kingdom of My Beloved Son. You too are My beloved, My dwelling place, and My dear child of Light, a citizen of the Kingdom even now. And you have within your inner self, the realm of the heart, the realm of the spirit, the highway (the path, the ascent, the ladder, the staircase) to Zion and the myriads upon myriads of My heavenly host ready to go into action to bring about My covenant promises in your life.
Don’t ever lose sight of where you are and what you have in your heart. Make full use of what I have prepared for those who love Me.
I love you. And I will circumcise your hearts with the laser light of My love. My Word.
