No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13..

Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:

If you are in a situation where you feel trapped and unable to loosen the grip of the trial you are undergoing, I want you to know you are not trapped anywhere, but you must know the way out. Jesus came to set the captives free.

And the scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And He opened the scroll and found the place where it was written, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release (aphesis (ἄφεσις): forgiveness, release, remission) to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free (aphesis (ἄφεσις): forgiveness, release, remission)those who are oppressed, to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” And He closed the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.” Luke 4:17-21.

Please note the word used in the Greek language in which Luke originally wrote this gospel, the word translated “release” and “free” is aphesis (ἄφεσις), which means forgiveness, release, remission. It is the same word Jesus uses when He stated over the cup of redemption at the Passover seder the night He as betrayed as He said, “Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness (aphesis (ἄφεσις)) of sins.” Matthew 26:27-28.

“To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” Jesus is announcing jubilee and that jubilee is Him. And the jubilee year was the year of debt cancelation, slave emancipation, and land restoration. That should sound like what you are seeking.

You will have trials that test who you are in this life but I have provided you the way out.

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33.

From Adam on mankind has sold itself into the slavery of sin and death, and there is only one way out. Whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Otherwise you are trapped in the evil of the effects of sin. It may seem like it is another person who has trapped you, and that may well be, and your thought is that if you just get away from them all will be well, but that is not necessarily the case.

Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, ‘You will become free’?”Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. I know that you are Abraham’s descendants; yet you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. John 8:31-37.

You are still in this world and you are still in the flesh, and you must deal with that wherever you are, for the evil is present, it is the mystery of lawlessness, BUT there is a higher realm to which you can go.

I find then the principle that evil is present in me, the one who wants to do good. For I joyfully concur with the law of God in the inner man, but I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will set me free from the body of this death? Romans 7:21-24.

Paul asks that question, and yet he had seen Jesus in all His glory and spoken with Him. But there was still that tendency in the flesh to evil. That is what you need to find a way out of to be free from oppression. But remember, Jesus came to set the captives free, Luke 4:18, to heal all those oppressed by the devil, Acts 10:38, and not just heal them but undo the works of the devil in your lives. 1 John 3:8.

But Paul knew the answer. Read on:

Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, on the one hand I myself with my mind am serving the law of God, but on the other, with my flesh the law of sin. Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Romans 7:25 – Romans 8:4.

The only way out of any trial, tribulation, test, or abusive situation is Jesus. Jesus offers you the way out. He brings you back to My house by a new and living way. The Son must set you free. He is the only way out of the mess you got yourself in and cannot get out of. You had sold yourself but you could not pay the ransom. ENTER THE KINSMAN REDEEMER. Jesus is My Son and all who receive Him become My sons and daughters and joint heirs with Christ.

What does it mean that you are redeemed? Redeemed in the language of Greek in which the New Testament was written is the word “apolutrosis,” which means a release effected by payment of a ransom. It is from the word “apo,” meaning “from” and “lytroo,” which is the verb meaning “to release by paying a ransom, to redeem.” And the origin of the word “lytroo” is “luo.”

Why am I telling you this? I have a very important revelation here. The word “luo” means to untie, unbind, loose, release, to dissolve, unleash, to set at naught, to break apart. It is used by John the Baptist when he says he is not worthy to untie (luo) the thong of Jesus’ sandal. Mark 1:7. It is the word Jesus used to talk about untying (luo) an animal to water it on the Sabbath day and then used it to command the healing for the bent over woman in the synagogue.

“You hypocrites, does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead him away to water him? And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been untied from this bond on the Sabbath day? Luke 13:15-16.

It is the word Jesus used when He told Martha to untie the wrappings in which Lazarus had been bound in the tomb. And it is the same word I used when I tell you that I sent Jesus to undo (untie) the works of the devil, 1 John 3:8.

It is the word Jesus used when He told His disciples to bring him the colt on the day of Palm Sunday, “When He approached Bethphage and Bethany, near the mount that is called Olivet, He sent two of the disciples, saying, “Go into the village ahead of you; there, as you enter, you will find a colt tied on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ you shall say, ‘The Lord has need of it.’” Luke 19:29-31.

And it again is the word used when I tell you that Jesus has released (luo) you from your sins by His blood and made you a kingdom and priests unto Me. Revelation 1:5-6.

And it is the word Jesus uses when He told you that whatever you loose (luo) on earth has been loosed in Heaven.

Look again at what Jesus said about the colt. “Untie it and bring it here.” And then when the owners of the colt asked why they were untying the colt when they fetched it He told the disciples to answer, “‘The Lord has need of it.’” Luke 19:29-31. Jesus then rode the colt to his destination amid glorification and adoration at his triumphal entry into Jerusalem to fulfill the prophecy of Zachariah about the Messiah coming riding on a donkey’s colt.

Untie (luo) him because the Lord has need of him.

Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. 2 Timothy 2:21.

Jesus has released (luo) you from your sins by His blood and made you a kingdom, priests to minister unto Me. You are Mine and I have need of you for My work upon the earth, to bring days of Heaven to earth. To live eternal life and draw all into the life in Me with you.

Under the Law of redemption I gave to Moses, if the means of a stranger or of a sojourner became sufficient, and a brother of yours became so poor with regard to him as to sell himself to a stranger, or to the descendants of a stranger’s family, then he shall have redemption right after he has been sold or one of his brothers may redeem him. Leviticus 25:47-48. It had to be a kinsman that would redeem you.

Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. Hebrews 2:14-15.

No descendant of Adam’s seed was able to be a kinsman redeemer for anyone to free them from the slavery of sin and death. No one born of Adam’s perishable seed could qualify to pay the price of an eternal life in the flesh for the eternal life you lost. The payment was not just too high, it was impossible to for a mortal man to make.

No man can by any means redeem his brother or give to God a ransom for him for the redemption of his soul is costly, and he should cease trying forever that he should live on eternally, that he should not undergo decay. Psalm 49:7-9.

But Jesus, born from the seed of My imperishable Word from above, qualified as the perfect Kinsman Redeemer. I was in Christ reconciling the world to Myself.

And He saw that there was no man, and was astonished that there was no one to intercede; then His own arm brought salvation to Him, and His righteousness upheld Him. Isaiah 59:16.

You had to be untied, unbound, loosed and redeemed, your debts paid in full, nailed to the Cross, and your ransom paid to Me before you can be truly delivered from situations that bind you. He is your way out to go on to holiness and walk with Me on the highway of holiness, the highway of the redeemed, the highway of those with a journey to make to Zion. No lion or unclean thing can walk there, it is only for the redeemed. It is the road of freedom from all that is oppressing you. It is the way out. It is the only true way of escape.

A highway will be there, a roadway, and it will be called the Highway of Holiness. The unclean will not travel on it, but it will be for him who walks that Way, and fools will not wander on it. No lion will be there, nor will any vicious beast go up on it; these will not be found there. But the redeemed will walk there, and the ransomed of the LORD will return and come with joyful shouting and singing to Zion, with everlasting joy upon their heads. They will find gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing will flee away. Isaiah 35:8-10.

And by walking with Me on the highway of Holiness, which is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, you can take hold of all I have for you.

Peter, Paul and the early disciples walked with Me and I walked them right out of prisons, delivered them from harm and persecution, and right through storms, shipwrecks, and snakes.

But the high priest rose up, along with all his associates (that is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy. They laid hands on the apostles and put them in a public jail. But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the gates of the prison, and taking them out he said, “Go, stand and speak to the people in the temple the whole message of this Life.” Upon hearing this, they entered into the temple about daybreak and began to teach. Acts 5:17-21.

Like Enoch, they walked each day with Me and walked right into the spirit realm.

But there is another step. Released from your sins you must now renew your mind to be spirit controlled rather than flesh controlled and be made complete in spirit, soul, and body. And you renew your mind by continuing in My Word, then you are truly My disciples and you know the truth and the truth will set you free.

Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” They answered Him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never yet been enslaved to anyone; how is it that You say, ‘You will become free’?” Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is the slave of sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son does remain forever. So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed. I know that you are Abraham’s descendants; yet you seek to kill Me, because My word has no place in you. John 8:31-37.

So this I say, and affirm together with the Lord, that you walk no longer just as the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, being darkened in their understanding, excluded from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their heart; and they, having become callous, have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness. But you did not learn Christ in this way, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth. Therefore, laying aside falsehood, speak truth each one of you with his neighbor, for we are members of one another. Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not give the devil an opportunity. Ephesians 4:17-27.

And do not worry about this, I will complete the good work I have begun in you.

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24.

You are free, My Son has unbound you, loosed you unto good works that I prepared for you in advance.

Grace to you and peace, from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood and He has made us to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. Revelation 1:4-7.

I love you. Remember that the only way out of any test, temptation, trial, or evil mess is Jesus. He is always the answer. He is the way of redemption.
