“The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.” John 17:22-23.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
I made you to be like Me, to walk with Me in authority, justice, beauty, splendor, and glory.
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26.
But above all I made you to have the same purpose, calling, and power, and all three of those are summed up in one word of who I am and who you are in Me: LOVE. We are one in love.
You were made for fellowship, partnership, and to live a fruitful abundant life filled with good things and perfect gifts from Me. I blessed you from the start and have never stopped.
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Bear much fruit, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:27-28.
For I am your creator but I am also your Father, your beloved, and your friend. When you join yourself to My Son you become one in spirit with Me. That is Covenant, that is a true wedding in the spirit that is forever. Spirits never die.
I made you to be reigning with Me as one with Me. I will never leave you or forsake you and I sent My Son and My Spirit to be with you always. You are never alone. I want you to understand this, since the day I formed you in your mother’s womb and released your life from within Me where I had you planned in My heart from everlasting to everlasting you are not alone. Never feel abandoned or alone in the world. You are not. I have compassed you about. As your creator, source, and Father, I made you to never be alone.
“Can a woman forget her nursing child and have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not forget you.” Isaiah 49:15.
I would like to talk with you about how I planned and formed your body because what you see in the physical will tell you about the anatomy of your soul and spirit as well. And your spirit, soul, and body all need the proper food, drink, vision, hearing, light, exercise, air, and nurturing to be functioning at the optimum that I planned for you.
No one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. Ephesians 5:29-30.
You are fearfully, wonderfully made. Your body is like a well run business enterprise made of thousands of units know as cells that form organs and systems that do all the work of your body without you even having to direct them, for they are divinely directed by the plan, i.e., the blueprint, I have put in them known as your DNA, and the ability to extract the information in each cell that I have put in the cells of your body so that you are unique. No one else’s plan is the same as the one I set up in you. And each cell, hormone, and chemical in you knows its job and the part of the plan it is to work on. And I made you to last, although I generally put the cap of 120 years for this world before you go on to the heavenly realm and on the Last Day receive your glorified and immortal body. But you will look as you do now, only perfect in age, size, shape, and ability. It will still be the same “YOU” that I made you to be only totally perfected with no faults and no flaws. Love will be all in all.
So let us get started.
For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb. I give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; wonderful are Your works, and my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the depths of the earth; Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; and in Your book were all written the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there was not one of them. How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You. Psalm 139:13-18.
As a whole person, I made you to be a three in one type being like Me. You are made up of spirit, soul, and body. 1 Thessalonians 5:23. Your spirit is the part of you that is conscious of Me (God-consciousness), the soul as the seat of your mind, will, and emotions is conscious of yourself (self‑consciousness), and the body puts you in touch with the physical world as your world‑consciousness through the five physical senses. You operate best in all the realms at once when you walk in the Spirit and receive wisdom from on High. Operating from your awareness of Me will make you healthy in all your parts, physical and spiritual. I have given you all that you need for life and godliness. The body’s structure gives a framework for your spirit and soul to express themselves through your physical life.
I have set up twelve systems in your body, which is the number of governance. There are twelve tribes and twelve apostles. These systems are the integumentary (your skin, hair, and nails), skeletal (bones, joints, cartilage, ligaments, tendons), muscular (muscles), nervous (brain, spinal cord, nerves, sense organs), endocrine (glands), cardiovascular (heart, blood vessels, and blood), lymphatic (lymph nodes, spleen, lymphatic vessels), respiratory (nose, trachea, lungs, bronchi), digestive (mouth, esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas), urinary (kidneys, bladder, ureters, urethra), reproductive (female and male reproductive organs), and immune (a dispersed network of cells, molecules, tissues, and organs—like the lymphatic system, bone marrow, and spleen—that work together across the entire body to defend against pathogens and disease). These systems work together to carry out all the functions necessary for life, from movement and defense to digestion and reproduction.
I have given you what is called your “nervous system,” which consists of your brain (command center), spinal cord, nerves, sense organs and it coordinates body activities, processes sensory information, and enables communication between parts of the body. Similarly, your spirit is where you receive and discern the things of the Spirit, that is, wisdom and revelation, which leads and guides you, directing your life to act upon the things revealed in your spirit by My Spirit. I am Spirit and am worshiped in spirit and truth.
Just as a damaged nervous system affects perception and movement, a “hardened” or “dull” inner life keeps people from truly perceiving My Word, which is spiritual blindness or deafness. Your born again spirit functions as your deepest “control and reception center” for My revelation, which then influences your soul and body.
The circulatory (cardiovascular) system consists of your heart, blood vessels, and blood. The life is in the blood for it brings life (oxygen, nutrients) to every cell as your heart pumps it through your body. Likewise, “the heart” in the spirit realm is the inner core where thoughts, motives, and commitments flow out into your words and behavior. When I promise you a “new heart” and a “new spirit,” you should picture a renewed inner source from which your whole life is supplied, much as healthy blood flow sustains the whole body. The physical heart and blood picture how inner spiritual life (or corruption) is carried throughout a person’s life, actions, and relationships. Guard your heart for from it flow the issues of life.
The digestive system, which consists of your mouth, esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, and pancreas, takes in, breaks down, and assimilates food to sustain your life, energy and health. Likewise, I speak of “receiving,” “eating,” and “feeding on” My Word so it becomes part of your inner person. You are what you eat. Spirit food, and My Words are Spirit and life, make for strong and healthy spirit that can direct your soul and body in walking in love with Me. If all you are doing is taking in the words of the world, the flesh and the devil with no mention of Me, godless idle talk, you are starving your spirit and feeding the flesh which will lead to the deeds of the flesh which are headed for death. So just as poor diet or malabsorption leads to weakness, a spirit and soul that do not regularly “feed” on truth become spiritually weak and unstable. Your inner life “metabolizes” what you continually take in—teaching, influences, and meditation—just as your body metabolizes food. Watch what you are hearing and taking in.
The immune system recognizes and resists harmful intruders, it is a complex defense network rather than a single, contained organ system; in a parallel way, the renewed spirit and a transformed mind discern truth from error and resist sin and deception. To be “cleansed” with the washing of the water of the Word and when you “put to death” sinful practices by hearing and hearing My Word, it is calling for an inner resistance to what would corrupt the soul, much like antibodies protect bodily health. My Words are life to those who find them and health (healing medicine) to all their flesh. I send My Word to heal you and deliver you from destruction.
Holiness and discernment function like spiritual immunity, guarding the soul from what would destroy spiritual vitality.
Bones and muscles give structure and movement to your physical body and, similarly, faith in and obedience to My Word are the “structure” and foundation of your life in Me. Without bones and muscles, your framework, the body collapses; without faith and obedience (hearing and doing), a person remains spiritually “weak,” even if there is real inner life. Hearing is not enough, you also must do it. Disciplines of obedience and good works are like spiritual “muscle tone,” expressing and strengthening the inner life that is already present.
Your respiratory system should put you in mind of My Spirit. The Word for spirit in both Hebrew and Greek is the same word used for breath and wind. Breathing sustains physical life; human life begins and ends with the giving and returning of breath. And it is My Spirit in you that quickens your mortal body and raises you up to new life. My Spirit in your spirit puts resurrection power into you. Jesus breathed on His apostles and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” I breathed the breath of life into the first man and so it is with everyone born. It is My breath in your lungs that keeps you breathing for your entire life. In Me you live, and move, and breathe. The ongoing dependence of breathing pictures continual dependence on the Holy Spirit, who indwells believers and is the source of spiritual vitality. Prayer, worship, and reliance on the Spirit are like continual spiritual breathing: constant, essential, and life‑sustaining.
Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, your whole person—spirit, soul, and body—is a consecrated dwelling place for My presence. As a temple has different courts and spaces yet is one sanctuary, so the spirit (innermost), soul (inner life), and body (outer expression) are distinct yet integrated in one person set apart and sanctified by Me. Think about the tabernacle of Moses, the Holy of holies (innermost), the holy place (first inner court), and the outer court.
Your body’s intricate systems working together in one whole, give you a picture of how spiritual life begins in the spirit, shapes the soul, and is expressed through the body, so that the whole person becomes an instrument and dwelling place in oneness with Me. You can glorify Me IN your body.
