“Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3-4.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
The disciples of Jesus were reward conscious. They would inquire of Jesus who was the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven, who was the greatest among them, and even demand to sit one on My right side and one on My left in My Kingdom. They wanted to be great in My sight. I answered in various ways but really it all boils down to one word that alone makes you great, it was what made Jesus so great and highly exalted by Me as well: humility.
Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others. Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:3-11.
Humility comes before riches, honor, and all the good things of the Kingdom.
The reward of humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, honor and life. Proverbs 22:4.
To the humble I give good things.
What does it mean to be humble? You do not need to wonder or wander about in this. I am very clear what it means to be living a Kingdom life upon the earth. Humility does not mean you are not out front with Me doing great exploits for the Kingdom upon the earth . I tell you that Moses was the most humble man on earth at his time and yet he took down the most powerful earthly kingdom by great miracles and wonders and led over two million people in an orderly manner out of slavery into the glorious freedom of My Children. And Jesus told you Himself that He is meek and humble of heart and He was the greatest man ever to walk the earth and breath the air. But as He is so are you in this world and He is My gift to you so you can live your life through Him.
I liken those who are fruitful and in My presence, giving Me joy and causing My Will to prosper in their hands (My Will is to save and bless everyone), in three ways: as little children, as sheep in a flock with a good shepherd, and as fruitful branches on a vine. These all show facets of the blessings of humility.
Little children are totally dependent on their parents, upon a loving, good father, for meeting all their needs. But this does not bother them but keeps them from all fear and worry so long as they are close to their father and are aware of his presence close by them. They do not worry about what they will eat or drink or use for clothing, they know their father supplies that, and not only that but extra treats and outings to beautiful places as well. They cast their cares on the one who cares for them and are confident to receive.
You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:5-6.
Casting your cares on Me is humility. You are not thinking you are the one who must take care of the worries and fears and provisions of this life but, knowing and believing in the love I have for you and the way I provide for you, giving you the Kingdom even now, you enter into My rest and find that what is impossible for man is easy with Me all you need is faith to receive what I have already freely given you in Christ.
Little children look forward not back with hearts full of love they do not fear lack and out of their mouths I have perfected praise, and upon My face their angels do gaze.
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth, who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens! From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established strength because of Your adversaries, to make the enemy and the revengeful cease. Psalm 8:1-2.
I also speak of a little flock of sheep following a good and gracious shepherd who lays down his life to save His sheep. Sheep never fear so long as their shepherd is near. They know His voice and follow Him. He rescues them and feeds them.
My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. I and the Father are one.” John 10:27-30.
Sheep are loyal to their shepherd and they are humble. You can lead sheep. A good shepherd calls them each by name and they follow Him out and in.
I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. I have other sheep, which are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will hear My voice; and they will become one flock with one shepherd. John 10:14-16.
Jesus also spoke of Himself as the vine and you who believe as the branches. Just as a branch does not bear fruit without been attached to the vine, so you can bear no fruit without being attached to Jesus, which is being attached to My Word, for He is My Word made flesh dwelling among you. And attached to My Word you are attached to Me for I am My Word.
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:4-5.
Just as the life of the vine flows into the branches making them bud, blossom, and bear fruit, so it will be with each of you. Jesus pours the Holy Spirit into the heart of every believer and the fruit of the Spirit is produced in you, which is love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (a sound mind). And if you abide in My Word and it abides in you, then I come to dwell in you and all that you ask I will grant.
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. John 15:7-11.
So what does humility look like? Joy unspeakable filled with glory because all your needs are met, your care is assured, and your future secure for when I, the Most High, am with you who can be against you? No one and nothing.
Fall in love with Me. I am loving you every moment, come live in the light of My love. Let me set you O so free!
“I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled!” Luke 12:49.
And I want you to go forth as the Body of Christ upon the earth and enkindle in every heart the fire of My love leaping up and out to set every heart ablaze. And how do you do that? By showing Jesus in the Scriptures just as He did for the two disciples on the road to Emmaus. He lit up two cold hearts by revealing Himself in the Word.
I love you. Go forth and prophesy—speaking the truth in love as you exhort, edify and encourage. That is why you are here on earth though you are seated in Heaven with Jesus in your spirit.
