Do not be afraid of sudden fear nor of the onslaught of the wicked when it comes; for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from the snare. Proverbs 3:25-26.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
If you really believe My Word you should have great confidence in Me—confidence in the darkest storms and trials—unshakeable confidence that you will come out blessed, protected, and in better shape than when the trial began. You should fear nothing—you can rely on Me.
If you find yourself going into panic or despondency, thinking everything is over for you, you must get severe with yourself and not allow that. You are driving yourself into despair and you need to turn the steering wheel and drive yourself to higher realms where there is joy and peace. You are at the wheel so it is up to you.
And the steering wheel of your life is your tongue, which speaks from the abundance of your heart. What you fill your heart with determines the outcome of every situation in your life.
Encourage yourself with My Word when things look hopelessly lost. My Word is your hope. And hope does not disappoint. Do not grow slack in speaking it and hearing it for it brings great reward.
I gave you My peace, so you who are believers do have peace, but I tell you that you also have a part to play in receiving and maintaining that peace. Just as I gave Adam the garden but he had to cultivate and care for it. I tell you not to let your heart be troubled or afraid but to rest secure in My peace. If I tell you not to let your heart be troubled or afraid it means that you can do it. When I give you a command I give you the power to do it. My Words are Words of power. My Word sustains the universe and holds everything together. And notice I do not tell you to “try” not to be troubled or afraid, I tell you not to let yourself be.
David wrote that when he began to fear, even then he would trust. How can you do that? The same way he did. He knew Me and My ways. He knew that in every battle, danger, or challenge he had ever faced I had brought him through and delivered him, and not only delivered him but had prospered him and made him great. He knew My promises. He knew My covenant. He knew My love and mercy. He knew I cared for him. He knew I would never leave or forsake him. He knew Me as his Shepherd and as an ever present help in time of trouble.
And he did not let himself forget My benefits or hold them as cheap. He would sing “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and bless His Holy Name, bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” He did not let himself fall into the trap of complaining, anxiety, and pride. He stayed thankful and so stayed faithful.
He kept My Word in his heart and before his eyes. He set Me ever before him and with Me at his right hand he was not disturbed at all, no matter what came against him.
He believed in My goodness, My love, My mercy, and My care for him. He knew that I was his light and salvation and that he need not fear anyone or anything for nothing is impossible with Me and I am more powerful than all.
Confidence gives you peace and blessed assurance. Confidence has to do with trust in Me. And in it is your hope that gives you confidence and it is your faith that gives you hope. And there is joy in believing for it gives you confidence that everything will turn out for your good. You know that no matter what it looks like at the moment you will make it through to the finish line and you will receive the reward. And how do you know that? The same way I told Moses, the same way I told Joshua, the same way I told Gideon when they questioned Me of how they could have the victory over impossible looking odds—I simply told them that I would go with them. And that is the same thing My Son told the apostles when He told them to go into all the world and preach the good news of the Kingdom—He would be with them always until the end of the age (and then you will be forever with Me).
I am with you. I will never fail you or forsake you. Just as I was with Moses, so I am with you. In fact, I am much closer to you for you have the advantage of having My Holy Spirit within you and not only “on you.” Jesus had not yet come as one of you and died for your sins at that time, but now He has. And if you have received Him, My Holy Spirit is within your born again living spirit. You are never alone. You have an advocate within you. You have a helper at your side. You have a provider, healer, counselor, and, above all, you have a good Father who delights in doing good to you! So do not cast away your confidence, it has great reward. Do not lose your joy. The joy of the Lord is your strength. I have given you My Word and when you abide in My Word, I share My joy with you and your joy will be full. John 15:11.
When you are in a trial My Word tells you to count it as all joy! If you do not, you will go under the trial. You will drown in the sea of self-pity, fear, and doubt. I do not bring to the point of birth and then deny delivery. I who give delivery will not shut it off right when it is about to appear.
Do not lose hope even if you must wait for the results you are believing for.
Your level of faith determines your hope and your hope determines your joy and your joy determines your strength and your strength determines the outcome of your trial.
If you believe My Words, it means you are willing to lay your life on them. You build your life on them. And they are a solid foundation for they will never pass away.
Joy comes from believing and it makes you give. Joy makes you generous. Fear and doubt make you withhold.
You must never let yourself lose heart. It will rob you of your joy.
I am the God of hope and of all comfort, so lean on Me and believe that My Word will come to pass in your life—there is joy and peace in believing, so that you can abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13.
If you are weary and heavy laden with problems, whether they be financial, physical, emotional, or spiritual, Jesus told you to come to Him if you are weary and burdened and He would refresh you. And that promise is for you today. Make use of it. For My yoke is easy and My burden light. That may surprise you if you thought I was a hard taskmaster. I am not. All I ask of you is love for Me and others. My banner over you is love and if you are submitted to My jurisdiction (My Word) then you are under the banner of My love. And under that banner is favor and grace. And I give you abundant grace just when you need it. And grace comes to you through My Word made flesh. And that is Jesus. And grace is My divine life in your soul giving you the ability to will and to do great things that bless everyone. And My favor surrounds the just (those who are in Christ Jesus) like a shield. And favor gives you promotion, honor, riches, and opportunities—it opens closed doors before you. It can pull you out of any pit and seat you with princes. It can bring your talents before great men.
I am your Father. I am your friend. I am your spouse and lover. And I am your Almighty God. Nothing is too hard for Me and nothing is impossible for those who believe.
Never panic or give up. Turn the steering wheel from your crash course by prophesying My Word over your life. No matter how you feel at the moment do not feed your emotions with fear-filled words, instead speak out in a loud voice quoting from My Word, speaking of that My plans for you are peace and prosperity, not disaster and woe, that I give you a future filled with hope. That when you delight in Me, I give you your heart’s desires. That I make all things work together for good for those who love Me and are called according to My purposes. That I never allow you to be tried beyond your strength. That you are strong in Me and the power of My might. That the devil has to flee at the Name of Jesus. That I always cause you to triumph. That I heal all your ills and diseases and pardon all your sins. That if you confess your sins, I will wash them all way in the Blood of My Son and make you righteous in My sight with My very own righteousness.
Cast all your cares on Me because I care for you. I will turn any weapons formed against back on your foes. I will not let you be lost. I hold you in My hand and there is no snatching out of My hand.
When trials come, and they will for Satan is still roaming in the world until Adam’s leasehold expires, do not slip into despair and fear. Above all do not get angry at Me. Know that I am there for you and all My wonderful promises to you find their “yes” in Jesus. Cling to Him, He is your life—eternal life. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, who is My Word, as you would a lamp in a dark place until the morning star rises in your heart and perfect day dawns.
The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, it just gets brighter and brighter until it reaches perfect day. Do not let the light in your lamp go out. Keep the love light burning by feeding it with My Word, there is joy in My Word.
The answer is always the same. Have faith in Me. And that is the answer to everything from the worst problem to the greatest joy. Have faith in My power and, above all, faith in My love for you to do good to you.
I love you forever. You can count on that. And never throw aside that confidence for it brings great reward. My just man shall live by faith and if he draws back I have no pleasure in Him for then I cannot bring him through to the reward. It takes faith and patience to inherit the promises. Shalom, shalom. You have nothing to fear.
