“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30..
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
Abide in Me and I in you. Live on in My love. Do you really know what I am telling you? I want you to live a life of peace and trust. I want you to be stressed out over nothing. Those who have their minds resting on Me have shalom, perfect shalom. And My plans for you are shalom and not evil, a future and a hope.
I want to bear your burdens and cares and take care of them for you. My Son came to do that for you. And He is the same yesterday, today and forever. And so am I. I do not change. I am love and I am Light. And there is no darkness in Me. There is no hate in Me. There is no evil in Me. Only good. None is good but Me alone. Totally good. I will never cease doing good to you for that is who I am.
Have you allowed yourself to rest in Me and to experience My goodness? To experience how I answer your every question and take care of you every need?
I lift your burdens from your shoulders if you will let Me have them. And then I carry you. I bear you and care for you and I will do so even into your old age and then into the glorious eternity that I have planned for you from the start. I want to come back and take you all with Me so you may see My glory and be always in My presence. Come share My joy! Jesus gave you His joy so your joy would be complete, lacking nothing.
If you are burdened and heavy laden with cares, My Son gave you an invitation to come to Him so He could refresh you and restore your soul. He will take your heavy burden and give you a well fighting yoke, and a very light burden. But you must first get comfortable with entrusting things to Me and then not worrying further and letting Me go to work on your behalf and give you direction and guidance in the matter.
If you have a complaint about another, but the other person will not listen when you try to talk to her or him about it, or if you see something sinful or wrong in another’s life but when you try to speak to them all they do is get angry and curse at you, that is the time in your compassion (and frustration) that you need to give the problem over to Me and ask Me to speak to that person’s heart rather than you hassling with them in a manner which causes strife. Just come to Me and ask Me to tell them. And I will. The heart of the king is in My hand and I turn it wherever I choose. Proverbs 21:1. But only if you pray. Only if you entrust it to Me. If you keep trying to take care of it, I cannot. And you will only end up in a bitter dispute within your household.
Instead remain calm, give the job to Me, and then bless and show lovingkindness, bearing with one another lovingly and watch Me go to work. Your souls will find rest for My yoke is easy and My burden light. I can do the impossible and nothing is too hard for Me. I will give you everything and more that you need or ask. I gave you My Son when you had not even asked, will I not give you everything in Him?
In EVERYTHING, and I mean everything in your life, refer it to Me in prayer and then know it is taken care of and give thanks, even before you see it manifest.
I have taken care of your sins by punishing them on My Son, do you not think I will take care of everything else in your life? Of course I will. And you can rest in that and never fear again. For I am your Shepherd and you shall NOT want, ever, if you trust Me. The more you commit things in your life to Me the more miracles you will see and the more fruit you will bear. And you will change the lives of those around you until they too are in fellowship with Me and I answer them directly as I do you.
Unless I build the house, they labor in vain who build it. Unless I guard the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain. Psalm 127:1. When I am with you, who can be against you? There is no one higher than Me. And there is no one else that can hear your every heart cry and desire and fulfill it. There is no one else who loves you as I do. There is no one else that knows you like I do. There is no one else who can take care of you like I can.
Will you not trust Me with everything in your life? I created you and redeemed you. Will you not hand over to Me everything that concerns you so I may take care of it for you? And then know I will make everything work out for your good.
If you but understood how much I love you and how much I want to take care of you, you would rejoice in Me always. For in every situation you would know that you have the answer and He is a Person who loves you and gave His life for you. He is Salvation in every situation. His name is called wonderful. And because you have My favor and love resting on you in Him you can be kind and gentle with others, knowing that they need Him too but that you are not threatened by them because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. The Holy Spirit gives you dunamis from on High. But Satan does not have that power, all he has is exousia from Adam, and that is a delegated and derivative authority which cannot overcome and control you. So take charge and hand things in your life over to Me. Let your gentle spirit be known to all men, they will notice that you do not get stressed out over things or tell them ugly things. I am with you speaking peace to My people and to you. So, be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to Me. And My peace, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7.
When you call on Me I answer. I always show up if you keep your appointment with Me. Because I am there with you already. It is you who have been unaware of Me. I am not hard to find. I am right there with you. And if you believe in My Son, we abide in you by the Holy Spirit. There is no snatching out of My Hand. I am yours forever. And you are Mine. I will always care for you. I have promised you eternal life. And it is yours in My Son. And so is everything I have.
Jesus bore your burdens and carried your sorrows. He took your infirmities. You have taken on loads too heavy for you to carry and they are breaking you down emotionally first and then breaking your body down and bringing on old age too swiftly.
The things that you carry are burdensome, a load for the weary. You, and those close to you, are stooped over, bowed down together, you cannot rescue the burden, but you yourselves have gone into captivity. Isaiah 46:1-2.
Worry and care take you captive and put you in bondage. You are not free to move forward and soar. You are caged by your worry, by your fixation on the problem and how you are going to solve it or escape it.
But listen to Me! You who have been borne by Me from birth and have been carried from the womb! Even to your old age I will be the same, and even to your graying years and beyond I will bear you. And I will not just drag you along either, I will bear you on eagle’s wings and bring you to Myself as my own special treasure and you shall be to Me a royal priest and a holy nation. Exodus 19:4-6.
Remember and be assured, remember the former things long past, for I AM God and there is no other, there is no righteous and saving God but Me. Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth, for I AM God and there is no other. Isaiah 45:21-22. I declare the end from the beginning and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, “My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good, perfect, and pleasant Will.” Isaiah 46:8-10.
David, the man after My own heart, from whom I had lifted many burdens that were too heavy for him, sang of Me, “Blessed be the LORD, who daily bears our burden and loads us with benefits, the God who is our salvation. God is to us a God of salvation (Yeshuah); and from the LORD (יהוה) the Lord (Adonai) belongs escape from death.” Psalm 68:19-20.
Many of you have taken on the care of things you cannot resolve on your own and they are a burden to you. You are worried and distracted by many things; but it does not have to be that way, you can simplify your life, because actually only one thing is necessary. Luke 10:41-42. And what is that one thing? Our relationship and it is hindered by your distractions with your burdens that I never meant for you to bear alone.
Now listen to Me and I will tell you what I have told you many times but you do not seem to believe it applies to your worry but it does. Do this and you shall live a carefree life. You may be saying that with your responsibilities and burdens that is impossible, but that is what the world, the flesh and the devil would like you to believe, you to you who are My little flock that I carry at My bosom, I have shown another Way.
It is a very simple but a very deeply profound line that should be the way you run your life. And it is so important I tell it to you in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. My servant Peter, who handled the burden of the diverse group of new believers in the forming body of the Church, learned the “secret” of a carefree life and handed it on to you, “cast all your cares (worries, anxiety) on Him, because He cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7. My servant David, who had the cares of first fleeing from Saul and then running a kingdom of diverse peoples—all the descendants of the twelve tribes of Israel—learned the secret also and handed it on to you, “Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.” Psalm 55:22. And My Son put it this way, “Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me,” John 14:1, and “Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.” John 14:27.
It has to do with not letting your heart be troubled or afraid. In Psalm 116 the psalmist sings, “The terrors of hell came upon me and I found distress and sorrow.” Psalm 116:3. When negative circumstances and people come upon you, what are looking for and who are you looking to? You can find distress and sorrow or you can seek and find a different result. And the psalmist finds it! “Then I called upon the name of the LORD: ‘Please, LORD, save my life!’” Psalm 116:4. And the result? “Return to your rest, my soul, for the LORD has dealt generously with you. ‘For You have rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling.’ I shall walk before the LORD in the land of the living. I believed when I said, ‘I am greatly afflicted.’” Psalm 116:7-10. And his testimony, “I love the LORD because He hears my voice and my pleas. Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live.” Psalm 116:1-2. And how will he call? With a voice of thanksgiving! “You have unfastened my restraints. I will offer You a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call upon the name of the LORD.” Psalm 116:16-17.
And now let show you the mechanics of it all, given to you by My Spirit through My servant Paul, who had more burdens, trials, difficult people, enemies, and storms than any of you will ever face! First, he tells you to rejoice always in Me. How can you do that in the midst of a storm? You think of Me your deliverer, your healer, your provider, and your rock of refuge and you run to the strong tower of My Name and cast your care on Me and declare My mighty Word to stop the storm and calm the troubled waters of your life and then leave it all to Me to deal with the other person’s heart or whatever else is the root of the problem. Just do your peaceful part.
And how do you do that? You sternly follow this, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, think about these things. As for the things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:6-8.
I love you. I sent Jesus to serve you and not to be served. And He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Just bring your burdens to Him. He has borne them already. He bore your sins, your shame, your guilt, your diseases, your infirmities, your pains, your sorrow, and your iniquities. Let Him be your burden bearer and you in turn bear one another’s burdens by giving them all to Me. Do not be angry, jealous or bitter with one another. Entrust your cause to Me. I will vindicate you and make even your enemies be at peace with you. Try Me. I will open the windows of Heaven to you. If you just look up you will find you are living under an open Heaven. Everything you need is already yours in Christ.
