It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life. John 6:63.
Today your LORD (יהוה) God (אלהים) says:
When My Word becomes your word is when it takes flesh in you and becomes your life and your health.
My son, give attention to My words; incline your ear to My sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to all their body. Proverbs 4:20-22.
My Word is truth. When you believe in the Word of truth, it sets you apart from the world and consecrates you. Jesus, who is My Word made flesh among you, explains Me in ways you can understand, so consider now what He prayed to Me for your edification the night before He gave His life for you to live forever:
I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but to keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Consecrate (sanctify and set apart as holy) them in the truth; Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. For their sakes I consecrate Myself, that they themselves also may be consecrated (sanctified and set apart as holy)in truth.” John 17:14-19.
And just to reassure you that this is for YOU as much as for the disciples at the Passover meal that pivotal night, Jesus continued the prayer:
“I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word; that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.” John 17:20-21.
It is the truth that sets you apart as holy and My Word is truth and contains all truth and there is nothing else that is the truth. And the truth is alive and is eternal. Lies are dead and perish. The world is under the lies of the evil one since Adam’s treachery and separation, but Jesus brings you back for He is Salvation. I sent My Word to heal you and deliver you from all destructions. Psalm 107:20.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:16-17.
My Will is found in My Word. How can you make your way prosperous and successful and overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil? Get your eyes off yourself—your ability without Me, that is, in your flesh and that of other people, no matter how much worldly acclaim or how many degrees they have, alone and get your eyes on Me. The flesh is useless as your answer and to keep you alive forever, it is the Spirit that gives life. My Word has the answers you need, everything for life and godliness. My Words are Spirit and life.
I have told you where to look when you need help in a dark place. Look to My Word for the light.
We have the prophetic word made more sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts. But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. 2 Peter 1:19-21.
Keep your eyes on My Word, do not let it out of your sight, for the light you need is in the revelation of the Word that lights up the answer to you that you are seeking.
“These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” John 14:25-26.
Jesus is telling you here, do not fear. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of truth, will guide you to all truth. Jesus has poured My promise of the Spirit into the hearts of all who believe in Him, all who are consecrated and set apart in truth, to bring you the right Word that speaks to your heart and enlightens the Way just when you need it. And the result?
“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.” John 14:27.
You are not alone in your search for the Word that will open the way to your desired end in any situation.
But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. John 16:13.
My Word is your life, it is your lifeline. It is your prosperity, your health, your peace, and your light in a dark and hostile world. My Word keeps you above and not beneath, the head and not the tail. If you look only to yourself you lose heart, you must keep your eyes on My Word and on My magnificent promises therein, which are all “YES” to you who are in Christ Jesus your Lord.
I told Abraham that he would have the desire of his heart, a child, though Sarah was barren and now old and he too was old. But it was not until he got his eyes off his own inabilities and the barrenness of Sarah’s womb that he stopped trying to get solutions in the flesh and finally got fully persuaded that My Word to him was truth and would come to pass if he only believed. And that is when the promised child took flesh and became a reality and no longer just a hope.
[Abraham] in the presence of Him whom he believed—God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” Romans 4:17-22.
The reason the Israelites of the generation I redeemed out of slavery in Egypt failed to take the land I had promised them by My covenant with Abraham and his descendants was because they only looked at themselves and what they thought they could accomplish by their own strength and not at My Word of promise to them. They never got their eyes off themselves and they could not do it. They called themselves “grasshoppers” and the opposition “giants.” I never made you to be grasshoppers. I made you to be overcomers and more than conquerors. But how do you do that? With, in, and through Me, not by your power or might, but by My Spirit in you and on you as you speak My Words with faith, which is the substance that gives the Holy Spirit the material to make My Word manifest physically on the earth in your life. My Words are Spirit and Life. Hold fast to the Word of life and you will have the life that is life indeed.
The reason My Word makes you strong, courageous, and ready to go out and be more than a conqueror over every word, thought, and test of this world is because My Word makes you know the outcome. If you stand on My Word in the spirit of faith you know that what I have promised will come to pass for you because I watch over My Word to perform it and when you return it to Me in faith, it does not return void but achieves that purpose for which I sent it. When My Word becomes your word you have the answer in your heart and in your mouth and NOTHING can stop you from the victory I have foretold to you.
When the Word the Spirit puts in your heart lights up in you, that is called a rhema word in Greek, it speaks to your heart and you know it is for YOU even though spoken in My written Word (the Bible) long ago it now takes new life in your heart and shows you what you could not know on your own. The revelation of My Word gives light and understanding to the simple.
I told Joshua to be strong and courageous to go in and conquer the land I had given them as a gift and I told him how to keep himself strong and make his way prosperous and successful:
Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall [a]divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:6-9.
Do not let My Words depart from your sight, keep them in the midst of your heart for length of days and years of life and peace they shall add to you. Proverbs 4:21; Proverbs 3:2.
I am My Word, so if you take your eyes off My Word, you take them off Me, and that is not a good place to be.
I love you. Remember: When you believe in the Word of truth it sets you apart and consecrates you as holy and precious unto Me. And when My Word becomes your word is when it takes flesh in you and becomes your life and your health. Think of the woman with the issue of blood for twelve years. When My Word became her word her life and health came the moment she reached out and took hold of My Word for her heart was sure.
